Thank you Tori :)
I think it's just because hopefully everything will go well but my negativity makes me think of the worst possible result.
I bought that book and I've started filling it in :)

Quick update from me: waters broke around 4 last night. In hospital since 5am with strong contractions to begin with but in the afternoon went to almost nothing. Hopefully picking up again now but still only 3cm... please send labour thoughts my way!
So tired though... seems so unfair they wont put on a drip until 24 hours after waters going! Sad

tannyLoo · 01/03/2015 18:17

Wow Silver! Exciting times! I really hope the contractions get going again. It looks like you could be in the 4% who have their baby on their due date! Grin Keep us posted xxx

HollyBen · 01/03/2015 19:12

Exciting silver. Good luck! Sending contracty vibes your way. I am jealous, still no signs hereSad

tannyLoo · 01/03/2015 19:24

Me neither, Holly. Time is standing still...

longestlurkerever · 01/03/2015 19:36

Good luck silver! Will be sending laboury thoughts to all three of you. Now it's March you will all be having Spring babies. Lovely!

Feeling a bit down and teary. Mouth and eye both so sore and am just exhausted generally, then have been reading the leaflet about gestational diabetes the Dr gave me and scaring myself, plus very cross with myself for putting on weight during all the ttc and mc stress. Feel like it's all my fault and I haven't been looking after myself or my babies. Just feeling sorry for myself really.

tannyLoo · 01/03/2015 19:51

Oh longest it gets to us all! You're doing a great job of looking after smallest, don't forget that!

Treaclepie19 · 01/03/2015 20:19

Sending hugs longest, don't beat yourself up!
We all think these things but the truth is we can only do our best for these little ones and people in much worse positions who don't even care manage to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

Looks like my sickness has come late. 11 weeks today and lost my breakfast yesterday and dinner today.
Hoping it's a sign my hormones are on the up.

longest don't blame yourself. I am no expert but I am pretty sure GD is not weight related. The important thing is it has been detected and you can act on it. It's hard when you are hormonal and a bit down, but growing a baby is tough. Between my mc and this pregnancy I have put on over 4 stone. Even maternity clothes are getting too small for me. But it'll be worth it when baby is here. Just keep thinking of the end goal xx

HeavenKnowsImNotSoMiserable · 01/03/2015 21:08

Hi all, I fear my time on this thread maybe short-lived. Me and DH dtd this afternoon for the first time since I found out I was preggers and now I'm spotting. Hopefully it's nothing and I'm having an unnecessary freak out but am so scared of losing this pregnancy too Sad

Heaven, I think that's pretty normal after dtd in early pregnancy, and it doesn't mean the worst. I didn't have the energy anyway but part of me avoided it for that reason because I didn't want to freak out. Hopefully it is nothing, will keep my fingers crossed for you.

broodylicious · 02/03/2015 07:32

Sending puuusssshing vibes to you three in horrid limbo land! Fx labour starts up good and proper soon and you'll all be getting those gorgeous newborn squishes within the next few days.

High five treacle - sickness is a fantastic sign things are going brilliantlySmile (even though at 20 weeks, I must admit I'm starting to complain a little nowBlush)

longest, I agree with the others, don't be too down on yourself. At least it's been detected and you can take the appropriate action to keep you both healthyThanks

My news - 20 weeks today. Think I've been feeling some movement in the last day or so. Little kicks or punches. I hope that's what it is anyway. Got my dreaded anomaly scan on Wednesday and absolutely shitting it. I just want to be relaxed about it all and buy baby stuff, instead of feeling like I'm still a merchant of doom!

Littlelady33 · 02/03/2015 08:08

Heaven I think it's not uncommon after dtd to spot slightly due to increased blood flow but fx for you all the same that it's nothing to worry about. 20wk scan broody that's exciting too! Mine is a week tomorrow and I'm going to allow myself if all's well to buy a few baby things, I have to start relaxing and feeling positive at some point!

Mslad · 02/03/2015 08:24

heaven I echo what the others say about spotting after dtd- it seems really really common. I heard about it so much, to the point I've bern too scared to dtd in pregnancy. Chances are things are all ok.

longest I really thought I was going to get GD so did a lot of reading about it and from what I gathered you don't give yourself GD, it's just how your body manages sugar when pregnant. Also, it's very common and manageable so please don't be so hard on yourself.

Go silver so exciting! I can't wait to hear some good news soon. xx

HollyBen · 02/03/2015 09:10

Hoping for some news from silver soon x

So i have made it to 40 weeks! No signs baby is likely to arrive today. Booked in to start the eviction process tomorrow. Can't wait to meet baby

Boozle80 · 02/03/2015 09:25

Yup, I echo what everyone else says about spotting after dtd. Are you going to get checked out today?

northdownmummy · 02/03/2015 09:59

heaven how are you doing?

I totally understand feeling anxious but like everyon's saying. It's really common. I'm speaking from personal experience. With my first pregnancy I had some spotting around 6 weeks. A scan showed all was normal and there were a few other occurrences in those first 12 weeks. My daughter is now a very boisterous 2 yr old. So I know it can all work out ok.

That said, I had the tiniest brown tinge when wiping this morning so I'm on knicker watch too Sad

HeavenKnowsImNotSoMiserable · 02/03/2015 12:17

Thanks purple, little, and mslad, your words have been really reassuring and dh and I have agreed to keep our pants on from now on Smile.

Boozle, I rang the community midwife team last night mid-freak out, the mw assured me that it's not really anything to worry about at this stage and I'm already booked in for an early scan next Tuesday. I'm only 5+1 so there would be nowt to see on a scan until next week anyway.

North, I'm feeling much calmer today after all the reassuring posts, spotting looks like it may have stopped too. I think I was being extremely paranoid this morning because I'm still not having any proper preg symptoms yet and was worried that every little twinge was signalling another mc Sad. But then again, I got to 11 weeks last time with barely a wave of nausea, no real tiredness nor sore boobs, my only real symptom was the night time trips to the loo. This is the first time in my life I really wish I felt nauseous Confused.

northdownmummy · 02/03/2015 12:49

I'm with you there, some nausea would be wonderful right about now

CommanderShepard · 02/03/2015 14:43

Would you like mine?! ;) Had an awful day so far - three vom sessions and counting. Haven't thrown up in the afternoon for a while so feeling really miserable.

longest a former colleague got GD and she was very slim and active, so please don't be hard on yourself.

Re soft serve ice-cream: it's a big no-no in the US (as are deli meats) but not so much in the UK says the NHS. As I understand it the food hygiene rules in the US are quite different to over here/the EU (and possibly vary state by state?) so a lot of what they fuss about doesn't really apply to us. If in doubt, the NHS page is my bible (which is good, because I've really got a thing for smoked salmon at the moment)

Littlelady33 · 02/03/2015 14:54

I'm still not really on top of all the food guidance... Realised that the Parmesan I was eating was from unpasteurised milk, panicked, then read that it was ok, then discovered that if been having too much smoked salmon, panicked, started to give up a bit and wish I still lived in France where none of this would be an issue (I've seen pg ladies there eat steak tartare!)
