Hi every one :) Google brought me here ... So.. I'm 48 ! A week late , feeling sick and boobs feel ready to explode !!! Never ever late !! Had my last child at 41! That was a surprise! 2nd at 26 and first at 18 ! I also have had 3 mc. Last one 4 years ago so guess I am v fertile !!! Maybe it's perimenapause? Maybe I'm kidding myself ? I'm terrified I could be p!! Keep thinking don't be so bloody stupid ! ( my OH s opinion ) or I am as I know my own body ! Can't stop hypo ventilating ! Any one else been p at this age ? Oh and I have a 10 year old grandson and a 5 month grand daughter ! Oh the shame :(

Purplehonesty · 03/02/2015 22:01

Hope all is well op?

SoonToBeSix · 03/02/2015 22:04

Any news?

chelsbells · 03/02/2015 22:05

Shameless place marking!

Hope it's the result you want!

3isthemajicnumber · 03/02/2015 22:06

Nope not place marking either.

RabidFairy · 03/02/2015 22:07

Why not skip the test and go straight to the GP if you're worried about a false positive? If there is any doubt they can talk to you about it or do a blood test, surely?

If I were you I would do that. And stop worrying as that won't change the outcome. Good luck OP.

tellmemore1982 · 03/02/2015 22:07

No place marking here either, hope you're ok op

PacificDogwood · 03/02/2015 22:08

FFS how long can you string this out?! Grin

You're either pregnant or you're not.
Either way you need to know.
POAS or get a morning urine sample to your GP for them to arrange testing.

I had DS4 aged 44 btw.
It was common for women to have babies from their late teens to their late 40s before contraception became available.
I don't see where 'the shame' is Confused

gaslamp · 03/02/2015 22:13

Any news? Hope you get the result that is best for you

fattymcfatfat · 03/02/2015 22:18

Pacific.....this is just like a really good drama on tv! The suspense is killing me!
As for shame...you think its bad that you could possibly be an oldrr mum??? Im going to be a 23 yo single mum to 3 kids in july and two of them will be under two! that sounds really really really bad lol!

PoppySausage · 03/02/2015 22:44

Argh where are you op?

PacificDogwood · 03/02/2015 22:45

Naw, it's like a really poor made-for-TV drama Grin

cruikshank · 03/02/2015 22:47

OP don't leave us alone like this, don't say it's the final piss etc etc

lia66 · 03/02/2015 23:37

I asked my gp that question when I went to see her after my BFP. She said peri wouldn't give you a positive.

WeAreAllStarDust · 03/02/2015 23:45

OP where are you?

Thinking of you x

WrappedInABlankie · 04/02/2015 00:07

Hopefully no news means it's good news. Either way Op, there are lots of resources to offer advice and support so take it one step at the time.
