My taste buds have totally changed so struggling to eat a wide range of meat based meals. (Basically can only just tolerate mince [in different forms] and fish)

Can't wait for things to go back to "normal".

What are you not eating at the moment that will be/is on your "scoffing as soon as possible after birth"?

Mine is hot fresh baguette with pate for breakfast lunch and dinner...... okay maybe just lunch

And a medium done STEAK! with blue cheese dressing yum yum yum
Grin

Brie, wine and Parma ham. My sister has assured me she will bring all three to the hospital after the delivery Grin

LittleBairn · 21/01/2015 18:44

Pâté and bowls of broccoli.

mzzzf · 21/01/2015 18:48

I've already succumbed to a dippy yolk egg - hens are vaccinated against salmonella so thought I'd blooming well just to for it! Yum Grin

On my post-push list is: red wine, brie, anti pasta meats, gin & tonic and a bloody pint of finest Italian coffee!!

Sophieelmer · 21/01/2015 18:51

Is it just runny whites your avoiding or yokes? Is it current advice?

sianihedgehog · 21/01/2015 18:51

Titsalinabumsquash · 21/01/2015 18:54

A fillet steak served rare with a large glass of white wine.

2015isgoingtobeBIG · 21/01/2015 18:58

Proper sushi! I used to have Itsu daily for lunch and miss it so much!

monkeyfacegrace · 21/01/2015 18:58

Umm, I've eaten and drunk all the things listed so far Blush

I eat blue steak all the time. And drink wine.

The only thing I haven't had is pate.

I'm a bad, bad person.

Titsalinabumsquash · 21/01/2015 18:59

I'd eat blue steak if it wasn't for everyone looking over me disapprovingly whilst I did Grin

monkeyfacegrace · 21/01/2015 19:02

Ah give a shit.

I was Christmas shopping in Jo malone and they were handing out glasses of champagne. I didn't need asking twice. Lots of dissaproving looks just made it taste all the better!

RozTheSchnoz · 21/01/2015 19:05

Yeah it's all about the booze for me -red wine, Sauvignon Blanc, prosecco... SmileSmile

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 21/01/2015 19:12

I'm still on my itsu lunch, but can only have the tuna as they don't freeze the salmon. And then the tuna rules come into play. harumph!

Blue steak, pan fried calves liver, poached eggs, red wine, camembert, all manner of yummy stuff :(

TouchPauseEngage · 21/01/2015 19:13

grace at a wedding over Xmas me and another pregnant friend stood guard over the cheese board stuffing our faces and glaring at anyone who dared raise an eyebrow at our brie intake. I find breaking the food rules in a pack tends to scare people off who might usually judge Grin

TouchPauseEngage · 21/01/2015 19:15

And re eggs. Eggs are fine if they are lion stamped, which most are. Why are you all torturing yourselves not eating them?

Inpup · 21/01/2015 19:16

Not another of these threads.

Someone start a thread for those of us non neurotics who are carrying on with our usual diets.

Only thing I have cut down is the vino.

I have huge healthy bouncing babies with not an allergy or illness between us in this house.

Wenglish · 21/01/2015 19:30

Pate!
Red wine
Blue cheese, I know some are allowed but my taste buds can't handle it at the moment.
Parma ham and chorizo,

comeagainforbigfudge · 21/01/2015 19:34

Oh I do apologise Inpup

I'm not avoiding foods from the guidelines because I'm neurotic.

But because anytime I do try them I get one mouthful in and feel my stomach turning.

So I really can't wait to have a normal diet again where I don't feel that I'm forcing myself to eat from all the food groups (including wine Grin)

fattymcfatfat · 21/01/2015 19:35

The nhs website says to avoid having them with a runny yolk so I just always have during pregnancy........and it would be my luck to actually end up with food poisoning.....Sad

fattymcfatfat · 21/01/2015 19:40

And im not neurotic. ..just would be my luck to get even more ill

Inpup · 21/01/2015 19:44

Oh comeagain I'll let you of the neurotic hook Grin

Chin chin!

dillydollydarling · 21/01/2015 19:48

Pepperoni is fine if its on a pizza cos it will be cooked Smile I would have thought it would be okay in a toastie too if its been cooked!

GlitzAndGigglesx · 21/01/2015 20:09

Ah right. Woohoo let my pizza addiction commence. The other day I had a little swig of red. Picture it: pregnant woman squatting in the kitchen opening a cupboard and spotting the bottle. Next thing she's took the lid off to have a sniff followed by a guzzle Grin. I should've just had a glass but was heading to bed

HazleNutt · 21/01/2015 20:18

I don't eat meat, am allergic to shellfish and now have gone off all chicken and fish as well. So basically a vegetarian, whether I like it or not. Can't wait to enjoy a nice salmon pasta again.

Letmeeatcakecakecake · 21/01/2015 20:38

Lemons... Lots of lemons.... And limes... And VODKA!
