Sunbathing

I'm really sorry to hear about your mmc they are just so cruel aren't they... Obviously any miscarriage is devastating but to have no clue and go along thinking everything is fine is just awful.. I'm sure everything will be fine this time.

Tori
I'm really sorry to hear you are so upset with your mum its so hard for people to understand if they haven't been through it, it's so sad that it robs the joy out of being pregnant again.. But as they mantra goes "today we are pregnant" let's all hold on to that one day at a time!

Tori

Will keep everything crossed that all is ok, and this is just all part of the roller coaster ride we are on... Flowers

Phryn · 05/10/2014 12:22

You're in my thoughts and prayers Tori. Really glad they can scan you today and hope it goes well xx

Oh tori I have everything crossed for you. 50% still means 50% chance of NOT miscarrying, but I'm sure that doesn't feel so positive when you're in the immediate position.

I really really hope all turns out to be ok.

Morning all! Been off the radar for a bit. Struggling with yet another cold and generally feeling sorry for myself. My cold turned into a cough which got so bad I was sick on Wednesday night. Went to see GP who gave me a cough suppresant which worked but made me drowsy and I felt quite jet lagged! Seems to have worked though and cough is more or less gone. However been quite snotty for the last few days. Really hope this is not another cold as have been in this cold, cough cycle for about 6 weeks now. Anyway enough of my moaning..

Sorry to hear you are having such a rough time baby I do think that in general the nhs do a brilliant job so when you hear stories like yours it is so disappointing. What are your options now? Can you get a second opinion?

Fingers crossed for you tori Waiting and not knowing is awful. Keep thinking today I am pregnant x

Welcome new arrivals. I hope you have nice boring pregnancies.

19 weeks today. Feeling the odd movement but nothing regular yet. Anomaly scan on Friday (no scan dread YET) and then off on holiday next Monday for a week. Really looking forward to it and I think it is helping to delay the scan fear.

amicablemoomin · 06/10/2014 09:46

Hi Tori, hope you are doing ok today. Keep trying to be positive. I was so sad to read what your mum said. Some people who have not been through what we have been through just cannot understand the pain and loss - it is a bereavement and it totally colours how you are going forward. I was a complete mess after my two MCs and on the floor for the first twelve weeks of this pregnancy. Just wanted to say that am thinking of you and have everything crossed for you.

Baby - that doesn't sound good - how are you feeling today?

Thinking of you Tori and really hoping beanie is sticking and growing.

I really need some advice/reassurance/possibly a slap this morning Sad .

I had bloods taken at the GP on Friday to check I'm really pregnant and my body has not gone doolally post mc (as I got pg in the WTF cycle). The bloods were taken at 5.2 if you date the start of mc as my lmp. However, looking at my temperature chart I think I ovulated a week late so it's more like the bloods were taken at 4.2.

The test results showed:

HCG = 996.8
Progesterone = 166.4

After a bit of googling I'm worrying that the HCG is a bit too low and the progesterone is too high! Does anyone have any advice or knowledge to share? I know that the range of hcg can be huge and that progesterone is going to be high following a mc.

It didn't help that I had a horrific dream last night that I'd mc'd again Sad

phryn I'm just back from my early scan and it seems we're following the same journey again! I date at 6w from date of my mc, but put myself at 5w from opk's. Sonographer could see pregnancy sac and faint yolk on an internal exam and has put me back to 5w and booked me in again for 2 weeks time to see how things progress.

Feeling ok as half expected it, not glad to be back at 5w, as that was when I mc in August but glad scans done for now in a way. Got myself in a right old state last night, full on panic attack and all :(

I didn't know about pregnancy loss day either but will definitely be lighting a candle.

tori time off sounds sensible, I think I will use the last of my holiday to book off the rest of the day after my next scan. Going into work now wouldn't be productive and I don't work in a medical setting!

I haven't been in for a long time so I'm sorry for that.

I'm currently 20 weeks and 5 days pregnant. Got my 20 week scan in a week and already worrying a bit about it.

Last scan was a private one at 17+3 where we found out we're expecting a boy!

Hope everyone is well.
