Hamster big congratulations! So pleased she's here!

Sunbathing I remember you from the other thread. Welcome and good luck!

Baby sounds horrible, another GP sounds like a good idea.

Alb nice to hear you're doing well. I seem to remember stitches and piles being a nasty combination! I already have my piles back, so expect to be in a similar position to you in March... Eek!

Cuppa you've got so much going on! All seems to be heading the right way though.

I'm same as, but getting an increasing amount of movements, which are great. Grin

Babytinx11 · 02/10/2014 19:11

Midwife is sending me back to the hospital :( hopefully they will actual fix it this time or make it so I stay in decent painkillers I am so excuse my language pissed off it's stupid I was coping on the other painkillers and then they stop them :(

liesal79 · 02/10/2014 21:03

Tori - Don't beat yourself up, you are entitled to have bad days, everyone is, just take one day at a time. If you get panicky, you can self refer to your early pregnancy unit at the hospital. If you explain your past history they will see you.

Good Luck - And to you as well Baby :)

StopEatingThatMud · 02/10/2014 22:19

Just checking in as you'd dropped off my threads I'm on and I've not mastered mobile MN enough to watch a thread yet!

Lovely to see you phryn and sunbathing I shall read back properly now.

I have four days off work now and I'm already fretting with too much time to think! My birthday is Sunday and my early scan Monday but I'm still convinced it'll be too early to see anything - 6w2 since mc but only 5w3 by opk dates. I did mention it but they still said to go..

Congrats from me too hopeful! Wishing you speedy recovery and many many more happy moments with little Serena!
Welcome to all newbies. Best wishes for uneventful pregnancies. Would anyone else want to add themselves to the stats list? Will update tomorrow.
I'm feeling a bit better today as bump seems a bit larger to me.

Morning all -
I have my first growth scan today at 4 since I was diagnosed with GD. Have had a few "private scans" (Birthday pressie) and although he was never measured, they always said he looked big, so panic has set in!! I know he is there tho, as everytime I panic, he reasurres me with a quick swift kick!
I caught sight of myself in a window, and OH MY GOD! I am massive! I was overweight before, but now, I look like a cow! :)

amicablemoomin · 03/10/2014 09:27

Liesal I am with you there - I am like a small oil tanker sideways, unfort I am not a woman who carries her pregnancy just on the bump! I'm huge - most unfair as I was in the best shape of my life prior to getting pregnant - not that I am complaining (too much), just cursing myself for eating all those carbs and cheese sauces in the early weeks. I know a lot of people manage a lot of exercise but I've really struggled to do much at all other than very very gentle walks and swims so not burning many calories.....!!!

stopeating you might get a HB - we did at 6 weeks and even so just to have them say this little dot is your baby was very reassuring, plus hopefully they will book you in for another in a few more weeks which gives you a nice goal to work towards.

Tori hope you can relax today and this weekend as the others say. Being emotional is normal of course and even more so with the huge anxiety we all feel. Your DH is probably feeling a fair amount of it himself and it might be coming out in a rather unhelpful way!!! Keep taking a day at a time, and defo book in with GP, it can be very helpful.

alb lovely to hear all is going well with the baby, and do hope your recovery speeds up

baby - hope you get the medical support you need, the whole thing sounds very stressful for you.

cuppa lovely to hear lots of good news, keep it coming please!

corpore sounds like you have a plan with flexibility which seems like a good place to be! good to know you can change your mind if necessary - sometimes having made a decision it can help you think through if it is the right one, if that makes sense?

AFM, I'm 29 weeks today. Yikes.

liesal79 · 03/10/2014 11:52

Moomin - Congrats on being 29 weeks - Its scary!! Im 28+5 and its all gone very quick!!

CorporeSarnie · 03/10/2014 13:17

I have my next big event coming up next week: making it past the gestation where I had DD (36+4 or so). Feels like a very big deal to be nearly at that point, as by then I had a baby in my first pregnancy!
moomin, I think it is good that I have left some flexibility, but I could see the consultant getting annoyed with me as I prevaricated over the decision... For me, having a VB was important last time, but as soon as I let go of it I stopped being bothered about how DD got here, as long as she was safe. This time I know how easy my recovery was from EMCS, whereas VBAC seems like a massive ball of uncertainty.
Baby is doing lots of fairly painful kicking on and off, but I still get the fear about it...

CorporeSarnie · 03/10/2014 13:19

cat, I think that what you are describing sounds normal-ish. I still often have to stop due to stretching-type pains. If they are severe, talk to your GP and see if they can book you in for a reassurance scan. I certainly recall sneezing being an issue.

Growth Scan was fine, but he has a big head!! Literally his head is measuring 30w and I am 28!!!!

Phryn · 03/10/2014 18:28

Thanks corpore for the abbreviation explanation!

lisearel glad the growth scan showed growth. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me will be able to reassure you about the body catching up!

sunbathing sounds like a good idea about the reassurance scan. I quizzed my GP about this earlier and admittedly he might not know as much as the EPU but I think in my area (Brighton) they only give you a reassurance scan if there is a medical need (like spotting) or if you've had a mmc. My history of one mc isn't enough in their eyes which I do understand but it doesn't mean I'm not going to worry Sad . Cue some quality time with Google and I've located scans for £60 and £69 pounds within an hours drive (the Brighton ones seem to be nearer £95. Might get one at 8 weeks if I'm feeling too wobbly.

Also did anyone else get lots of CM (non stretchy, milky colour) in the early stages? (I'm 5.2 weeks along). I know it's normal but it is not helping my knickercheckitis!

Phryn · 03/10/2014 18:30

Whoops - I meant liesal in my last comment Blush

liesal79 I am glad your diabetes appointment went well. Good on you! My understanding of growth scans is that it is not individual scan measurement that matter but the fact that the baby follows it's own curve, so the overall trend over several scans. They look at everything. Head measurement and abdomen, because both need to follow their own curve of growth. Hope that makes sense.

babytinx11 I am sorry you are having such a hard time. I hope that you get some good care.

hopefulhampster congratulations! Enjoy!

Welcome everyone new!

Chookford · 04/10/2014 17:52

Hi ladies

Is it ok to join? I had a mmc in July 2012, and after a break decided to try again in July 2013, I finally got my BFP last night and I'm 5 weeks! I'm equally terrified and ecstatic and just want someone to fast forward the next 8 months! So would be great to chat to ladies in the same boat for as much as I love my husband he doesn't worry as much as me! Wink

Hi Sunbathing

Thank you for the welcome, from reading the posts I think you and I are around the same amount of weeks... Hope the next 8 months are boring and stress free! Do you have any other children? Sorry if you have already said in on my phone and it's being a pain when I'm trying to scroll through all the pages...
