Yes DP was late home last night which I think is what set me off, too much time alone in the evenings means massively too much time to think.

I'm off to work, normally enjoy it but I've zero motivation since the mc and am full of cold at the moment so just want to hide in bed! Hope dissertation writing is productive!

GandTnow · 25/09/2014 09:28

Tori and Stop, I think it is very normal for sypmtoms to come and go a lot early on. I know its hard not to worry but mine certainly had good days and bad days. Remember the mantra 'today we are pregnant!'

Babytinx11 · 25/09/2014 11:38

toriB it's fine my friend is due same day as me and she never had sore boobs morning sickness anything ibut if your worried contact your gp

HollyBen · 25/09/2014 12:48

bythesea if you see this my heart is aching for you. I hope you have lots of rl support and can get some answers

baby definitely go see the GP about your headaches sounds awful. My friend had something similar. Initially they said it was a virus but she ended up in a&e where they did a brain scan. She was fine and in the end they put it down to dehydration as she suffered Ms all through her pg. I don't mean that to worry you. Trying to say get it checked.

I need some fish slaps today! 17+3 and not feeling pg. I have started losing weight (a few lbs and my rational side knows it is because I have stopped needing to eat every hour to fend of nausea and lightheadedness), bump doesn't seem to be growing (probably in my head) and although I think I am feeling the odd flutter nothing regular. 20 weeks scan is 2 weeks tomorrow

Babytinx11 · 25/09/2014 19:38

Consider yourself slapped holly

I am off to see the doctor on Monday nasty pain under my ribs and my kidney is acting up again as well :( but all that said this pregnancy might be being a bit of a nightmare but I have so far not spent as much time in hospital

Itscurtainsforyou · 26/09/2014 07:31

Hello all - can I join you?
I've just done a hpt and can see the faintest line. Am hoping that if I test again in a few days it will be stronger so I can actually believe it...

I've had three losses, 5 weeks, 22 weeks and 7 weeks.

Blood tests showed that I have a blood clotting disorder (factor v lieden) but I'm still waiting to see the consultant about it (2 months later). I've decided to start the baby aspirin today, then phone the hospital on Monday if I have a stronger result to ask to see the dr sooner than later.

StopEatingThatMud · 26/09/2014 12:33

holly I hope you're having a more positive day today? And baby I hope you're not too uncomfortable.

Hi curtains congratulations :)

Just been and booked my booking appointment for the end of October and awaiting a call back from EPU to get an early scan booked. Eek.

CorporeSarnie · 26/09/2014 13:23

Morning all,
Welcome to new +ves, baby hope you are feeling better, and holly I think that sounds normal-ish - if you're eating & drinking OK and feel otherwise fine, you're using quite a lot of calories baking your bun, so try not to worry too much. I know quite a few people who've lost weight in pregnancy due to not drinking (not that I am saying this is the case for you Grin).
curtains, good luck with getting a referral soon.
afm, things are a bit strange. All well with baby, saw (new) MW this week, who asked me why I hadn't been seen at clinic since 16 weeks - as far as I was concerned this was what had been told to do and booked in for. Given that I've been to MAU twice I don't think it is a problem, but she was cross, and then said that she can't see me for my next appt as will be on hols (I think that my prev MW was on hols when I should have been seen before tbh). But in possibly good news it looks like baby is head down now (35 weeks tomorrow), so actually have a choice re: vbac or elcs to make.
In rubbish news, I have managed to brick my smartphone, so am using an ancient phone which does calls and texts, nothing much else. Is astounding how much time I waste looking at the damned thing... am sorely tempted not to have it back in a way (except that not having proper access to my diary makes working quite hard).

Babytinx11 · 26/09/2014 14:36

Off to gp today mw is concerned about headaches severe pain under ribs flashing lights in front of my eyes all very very uncomfortable my feet are all bruised from the swelling so hoping gp can help :( very very fed up

tannyLoo · 26/09/2014 15:23

Poor you, Baby! Hope they can help xx

GandTnow · 26/09/2014 16:20

Feel better soon Baby.

Just back from 20 week scan and all is fine. So relieved and feeling totally exhausted!

It now seems like a very long time until we meet this little one. roll on Feb!

Babytinx11 · 26/09/2014 18:16

Just back from the doctors it seems all the problems are down to my kidney under orders if it gets worse I have to call an ambulance :( fingers crossed it doesn't

Psmith83 · 27/09/2014 07:15

Great news GandT! Hope you can breathe a bit easier with that milestone out of the way. Smile

StopEatingThatMud · 27/09/2014 07:24

corpore new mw sounds... like a bit of an idiot really! Glad to hear you don't have long left so hopefully don't have to have too many dealings with her.

gandt big congrats on 20 week scan, I imagine it's s big feeling of relief. I shant tell you "it's only xx days until Xmas" but I'm sure it'll come round quickly, then you're much closer to meeting that little one :)

baby hope things have been steady overnight and remain that way.

Got my early scan date yesterday, Mon Oct 6th - the day after my birthday. I suspect it may be a bit early as will only be 5ish week by my dates but officially 6 since mc. We're also away the week after so hoping there's no need you go back.

Was up in the night with DD and had horrible stomach pains. I think (tmi) its likely trapped wind but it still panicked me enough to stop me sleeping and now I have work this morning :( very much trying to keep reminding myself that today I am pregnant. And be positive

Hope everyone has a good day

Hi,
Please may I join, have to admit been stalking this thread a while.
I'm 39 well for another 3 weeks eek, I had a miscarriage just before Xmas 2013, spotting at 6 weeks scan at 6+3 saw heartbeat but continued to bleed till 8 weeks had miscarriage when confirmed heartbeat stopped at 6+3. Had 2nd just before Easter 2014, again heartbeat at 6 weeks seen, then scan at 9+3 confirmed measuring at 9+2 with no foetal activity. Had 4 doses of the tablets but guess my body didn't want to let go so had Erpc. Am now 6+2 on high dose folic acid and lose dose asprin am so scared.
I look forward to getting to know you all and hugs to all those who need one.
Sorry for such a big post x

longestlurkerever · 27/09/2014 13:12

Hello everyone from down under. Welcome, congratulations and a big hand hold to all the newbies.

Well, I got here! Flight wasn't as bad as anticipated. Dd a bit topsy turvy though. Is gone 10pm and I can still hear her clattering about in her room. It was the wedding today though to be fair. Can't say I am in a rush to take her to another as it was hard work, esp as dh was off doing best man stuff a lot of the time. Still, it was a nice wedding and mil is happy.

I have been having a bit of stomach pain that's been worrying me but barely any sickness - just the odd low blood sugar moment. Not been sleeping well since I got the bfp. Don't know if it's stress or hormones or both.

Good luck everyone!

Ha

Hi Snooky, Welcome to the thread! Sorry to hear that you've had such a hard time but rest assure that this thread is here for 'ladyrants', off loading worries and hand holding. Hope this is a sticky Bean for you.

Well done on the journey Longest! I'm sure it'll take you a couple of days to get over it but all will be worth it! I expect it's lovely and warm over there now! Enjoy!

Babytinx11 · 27/09/2014 17:29

Well ended up spending last night in hospital only just got home with enough medication to sink a ship long and short of it is very unhappy kidney but very happy baby

Cakebaker35 · 27/09/2014 17:34

to everyone! just back from 2 weeks away, a lot to catch up on so I will read back and try and see everyone's news but just wanted to welcome newbies and offer hugs and fish slaps as needed.

Amazing 2 weeks away in Wales, weather has been brilliant for a uk holiday and it's also helped time fly a bit more! 24 wks on Mon and feeling massive. He a lovely dose of thrush too, yuck. I've been having physio for hips and sciatica and that will continue, got exercises to do at home which are helping but I know none of it will go completely until baby arrives. Also going to be seeing more of the mw and obstetrician as they're keen to keep a closer eye on me in case my bp goes crazy again like it did with dd at about 35 wks. All the appointments are a pain but I am grateful they're taking good care of us. Also off to see vbac clinic next month, I'm almost certain on the elcs route but going to go along to this and listen to possible options as I'd need to be pretty certain of avoiding another nightmare birth before attempting this.

Right, I'd better get reading back up the thread!

Good luck to all with scans etc this week.

Xxx

Hi all, I've been away from this thread for a few months thanks to my laptop and then my smartphone breaking, but I just thought I'd nip back in to say that baby stars (Jasper) made his appearance back in early May (feels like a lifetime ago now!)
He was born by c section at 35 weeks as my waters broke very unexpectedly but was absolutely fine, came out hollering with apgar scores of 9 and then 10 and didn't even have to spend any time in the scbu. He weighed 8lbs3 but was so long that he was straight into age 3 month clothes, and now at 5 months old he is huge and is wearing mostly 12 -18 month clothes thanks to his very long legs!
I wanted to thank everyone on this thread for all of the support, without you I would have lost my sanity. Very best to everyone and thank you again x.

Alb1 · 28/09/2014 08:47

Cakebaker35 · 28/09/2014 09:29
