Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Cuppachaplz · 23/09/2014 13:47

Welcome stop, IME! they take date from your 12 w scan, and given that this is anywhere between 10 and 14 w. They always ask history if you ring anyway. Think they are obsessed with scan dates; my edd means I had a positive test before conception. Good luck x

bythesea so sorry you're going through this. Fx for another reason for bleeding and cramps. Many stories on here of sticky beans through bleeding xx will be thinking of you

Am home now. Scan looked good, so they decided against steroid injections and suggested keeping me in until cramping stops, but happy for me to go home, monitor and go back if any further fluid loss or worsening contractions again. I am less than mile from the hospital so felt I could rest more at home. They have advised me to have a few days off and will check up on me next week, so staying hopefully. Just waiting for police to come back now.
Thanks for all the support xx

Gwlondon · 23/09/2014 13:58

StopEatingThatMud I think contact someone because the only way you'll get a date is from a scan. Also they might want to give you a scan anyway? I don't know. I think it is worth letting someone know you don't have a LMP.

bythesea82 good luck. I hope it isn't what you fear.

marshmallowpies I know! It is so hard waiting for regular movements. At first I only felt the baby once a week. That went on for ages.

cuppachaplz I am glad you are home and hope they catch the driver.

Gwlondon · 23/09/2014 14:00

StopEatingThatMud did you have a negative pregnancy test before the positive one?

StopEatingThatMud · 23/09/2014 14:33

gw I went to the out of hours doc the day I started bleeding who did a test and said negative (I did cb digi day before and got positive but too few weeks for my dates). I had bloods taken 3 days later which showed a very low level of hormones. I did a hpt Friday when my Internet cheapies turned up just to try them out which was negative. Then a very very faint line Sunday which I almost thought I was imagining. A very faint but clearly there line yesterday and a much clearer one today :)

Will pop into gp's on my next day off on Friday I think, assuming everything is still ok.

StopEatingThatMud · 23/09/2014 14:35

Thanks cuppa my scan date with dd was spot on my estimated date so I've never really thought about how they work it out!

Babytinx11 · 23/09/2014 15:59

bythesea so sorry your going through that fingers crossed for you that it's not worst case Cake

cuppa glad your feeling better :)

TeaandHobnobs · 23/09/2014 21:13

Congrats to squiz Thanks can't believe you are now holding your little one, that is amazing Smile

cuppa I am utterly Shock at what happened to you! Thank god you are alright (pretty much) - I'm sure hospital will be keeping a close eye and I hope everything settles down and things don't kick off yet. The police had better get that f b!!! Angry

Hope all is well liesal, and bythesea I hope things are still ok for you - thinking of you...

We are in the US with BIL and SIL now - I survived the flight! Weirdly my SPD was ok yesterday, but today (after sleeping on a sofa bed last night) my left hip is in agony Sad. Need more strategic pillow placement tonight. Still not feeling definite movement (14+4) but I am pretty sure baby went mental on the descent into JFK - felt like there was a spin cycle going on in my tummy!

The weather here is absolutely stunning, and looks good all week, so I am really looking forward to a week of chilling and catching up with BIL and SIL. DS was amazing on the flight/journey yesterday, despite only sleeping for about an hour on the flight, then staying awake until gone midnight UK time. He then slept until 6:30am local time this morning, so I thought we'd cracked it on the jet lag front - but he has been pretty out of sorts today, and got very overtired and upset before finally caving for a nap at 2pm. I've had to go for some time out because it is making me really upset not being able to fix it - thankfully Aunty is being a darling and playing with him and reading stories Smile

It is days like this I do wonder WTF I'm doing having another, though...

bythesea82 · 24/09/2014 07:49

Well after a pretty horrible experience last night, mc #3 is done. Hopefully we might get some answers before trying again. I am going to duck out for a while but I hope to be back soon.
Thank you all for your support. I hope you all have boring easy pregnancies and those with new little ones have lovely cuddles and quick birth recoveries Thanks

liesal79 · 24/09/2014 08:41

Morning all - Sorry to hear about your loss Bythesea, :(

I have officially hit the third trimester, which makes me laugh, as I never got the "amazing" 2nd trimester feeling! Feeling a lot more positive at the mo and brought a mose basket yesterday which made me happy!

Hope all is well with Everyone. :)

bythesea82 I am very sorry. I hope you have lots of support. A big hug.

amicablemoomin · 24/09/2014 11:50

Just catching up..

cuppa OMG. How awful, so so glad to hear that you are feeling better and contractions have stopped. Sounds like you are being looked after and the police are onto the hideous person who did this. thinking of you and keep feeling well.

bythesea I am so sorry. There are no words - but know you are in our thoughts.

stopeating congrats on your scan....I believe they will initially date you from the day of your MC until like the others say you hit 12 weeks and they will date you properly at that point. I headed to the docs straightaway with my BFP - mostly because I wanted it to be 'official' if something went wrong so they would start investigating properly. Whenever you feel comfortable though is fine.

cloudjumper lovely to hear from you

Everyone else, hello, welcome, hope all good.....better get back to work now!

Babytinx11 · 24/09/2014 14:13

Thanks amica I guess at least if I go by mc date its only 2 weeks til I can book a private scan :D (7wk+ at our hospital) although realistically I think I'd rather wait a little bit longer in case I fork out £75, it's too early to see anything and I end up panicking something's wrong.

Lovely to see you over here too Tori I think I'm trying not to think too much at all at the moment!

Cuppachaplz · 24/09/2014 19:04

bythesea so sorry that you're going through this again. Thinking of you. Hoping that you get the answers you need and we see you back soon x

Welcome tori, sorry about previous losses.

baby I have had some horrendous headaches this time around. After investigating, ruling out bp issues etc, doc reckons it's stress from all the issues I've had. Talk to MW and gp and get yourself checked out. Oh, and if possible drink plenty of water xx

Feeling much better, but exhausted today. Less cramps though :)
Have been signed off for a bit to concentrate on getting well. Oh, and DH gas locked up my bike and taken the key... Even if I wasn't with him by now, the wheel is buckled, but hey ho...
Still waiting to hear back from the police, but the car was local so hopeful they will get him.

GandTnow · 24/09/2014 19:34

bythesea so sorry to hear about your loss and hope that the docs will be able to give you some answers.

Welcome tori

I've got my 20 week scan on Friday and I'm freaking out. I can't really even tell you why. I've got movement fairly regularly and certainly have a bump, I just think that it goes back to the old problem of never reallly trusting my body after a mmc. Its not until Fri afternoon so dreading the whole waiting around all day and irrationally cross with DH for having work commitments in the evening. (I seem to be planning for bad news) Please will someone fish slap me. Thanks x

Babytinx11 · 24/09/2014 19:34

cuppa when I spoke to mw last week she said they wouldnt worry until after 24 weeks but I will make a gp app and see if they can help I drink loads any way so it probably is stress

Not sure tori it seems to vary by area from what I can find online. I don't want to get my hopes up to find out they don't do it here. I'm going to pop into my gp's on Friday when I'm off work to sort booking etc. They're usually really helpful so will see what they say. Fingers crossed eh?

Babytinx11 · 24/09/2014 23:21

GandT my 20 week is just over 3 weeks away but I am already scared about it spoke to mw about not trusting things after mmc and she said its normal and ok was really sympathetic hope all goes well with your scan Smile

tori mine were feeling more sensitive, then last night/this morning absolutely nothing. Which is exactly what happened 2 days before my mc, so am trying massively not to over think at the moment.

I'm sure it's totally normal not to be feeling sore yet, it's still early isn't it :)
