Well done Squiz!! Congrats!

QuietTiger · 21/09/2014 17:11

Just coming back after a long absence - it's hard to keep up with the chatter! :)

Congratulations Squiz. Fantastic news! And congratulations to everyone who made it through 9 months and has their LO in their arms!

In other news, it appears I am still up-duffed at 26 weeks (and counting Grin ). Lots of wriggling and kicks and being kept up 1/2 the night because I can't get comfortable/need a pee/cats sleeping on my legs/DH snoring...

I let myself think positive today and actually went and bought some baby clothes when I was out shopping. I promptly had a "Oh, God, I've jinxed the pg moment" and shoved them all in a bag and then hid it from DH (who immediately found it...).

Consultant has agreed to an ELCS, which I am very pleased about. After the experience we had with DD1, with an induced 48 hour labour and surgery for a retained placenta, as well as no DD to bring home, she understood how much I need the delivery of this DD to be completely controlled. My midwife is fantastic and is really pushing for what we want too, so fingers crossed this one will arrive. :)

I can't believe how I'm moving up the list of EDD's! Thinking of you all.

SuzyBean · 21/09/2014 17:16

Wow Squiz well done, that's great news!!

HollyBen · 21/09/2014 18:00

Congratulations squiz! Is that 5 precious little september babirs we've had?

HopefulHamster · 21/09/2014 19:05

Eeep, am I next assuming no one else dares butt in with an early one?

Congrats Squiz!

Btw list says I'm due Oct 5th but baby is being forcibly evicted on Oct 1st hopefully - week and a half to go!

fedupofrainydays · 21/09/2014 19:09

Not much of a smooth ride for us. Back in hospital for further treatment in special care - phototherapy and blood tests. Feel sick with worry. Just want to be home, healthy and as a happy family. My poor baby is being prodded and blood tested no end. Sad

Cuppachaplz · 21/09/2014 20:21

Congratulations squiz hoping for a smooth ride for both of you from here on xx

fedup hoping your LO is on the mend soon

quiet glad you're getting what you want, and they are looking after you both.

Physio on Friday confirmed carpal tunnel and sciatic pinching due to oedema. My low bp not helping. Plenty exercises, fx for some improvement soon.

Big week for us approaching. Birth choices again; after disaster EMCS with DS and very poorly after, I'm very keen to avoid another cs, and want as little intervention as pos. MW concerned how stressed I am about thus and fighting with consultants...
Which is keeping my mind off of neuro specialist and foetal MRI which is the week after, trying so hard not to panic about that one

longestlurkerever · 21/09/2014 20:25

Sorry you're having a worrying time fedup. I hope you get better news soon and escape hospital. Cuppa Big hugs to you too. Hopeful 1 oct is my birthday. I have always liked being on the 1st.

Eek- all packed for oz, though we're not leaving till tuesday. Is a bit of an inlaw fest - BIL's wedding. Wish me luck! X

LondonJen · 21/09/2014 20:36

Oh Squiz you've made my day!! Congratulations! Got happy tears all welling up for you. Enjoy every minute. I know you will.

So good to hear Moomin! Esp about the reassurance of kicks. Nice feeling.

Lovely to hear you and little one are well Nerdy. I remember talk of the fb page but no idea where to find it. Sorry, not helpful.

Good luck for 1st Hamster! Scary to be top of that list but also great to move up it!

Hugs Fedup, must be such a worry, but hopefully will be sorted soon.

Sending good vibes to everyone else x

amicablemoomin · 22/09/2014 09:31

Congratulations squiz! Well done, you should be really chuffed with yourself. Do let us know the name you choose! We will miss you on here.

fedup this sounds stressful, thinking of you.....do hope you get to go home soon.

Hamster you're up next! Not too long to go now......

quiet well done on buying the baby clothes, it is a big step but a good one to take....glad all is going well now for you and you are getting heard and support regarding birth from the hospital. So important. Cuppa good luck with your discussions as well and hope health wise you are feeling ok.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and those with scans looming are feeling positive.

liesal79 · 22/09/2014 10:32

HI All - Sorry for no update.
I am 26+6 and had blood on tissue on Friday Morning, Was called into the delivery suite and they tried to find the babies heartbeat, but couldn't get it! Little bugger, so had a scan, and there he was wiggling around! Did an internal, and it was all ok, so panic over for now!
I really thought once the movements were here, I would calm down a bit!!! :)

Stressed but feeling better! Can I be added to the Stats please - Liesal 1MMC 4MC EDD 23.12.14! :)

cloudjumper · 22/09/2014 11:44
