Morning everyone from the hospital.
mrsg the tear will heal. It's really scary down there. I just showered and it felt massive. I had an episiotomy again but only grazes in other parts, so I could imagine you must have it worse. Just take it a day at a time.
fedup have they given you steroids to stop, or letting you go through labour? If it's the later, try to reserve energy. I know it's easier said than done as I had a 3 day one last time and couldn't sleep at all.
hopeful it's normal to not know if you have made the right choice. I was thinking back and forth about which hospital I should go for. In the end I just stick with my first choice. You must have selected elcs weighing up all the pros and cons.
I still couldn't believe how fast it went. Basically I was talking to the midwife who is trying to fill out a form to admit me. I was standing here, holding on the bed, talking through my not so frequent contractions. (2 in 10, it's normal for me but I was told it's not normal for most in active labour). She was going to take my blood pressure, temperature, monitor baby as I haven't felt movement, etc. Then water went and it all went really intense. She helped me on the bed, got someone else to get the gas and air, and after a few puffs, checked my dilation and asked if I wanted to push. That's when she said it's 9cm and she could see the head. (I thought it is 10cm before you push but she's the MW). I abandoned the gas and air as I just couldn't get the hang of the sucking. I think it helped a bit though as I panicked when the water went. It all happened too fast for me! I could feel the urge to push which was a huge improvement from last time. But I still had fear it would stuck. But in the end it all worked out with a bit of episiotomy help (so yes it's stuck and the MW said it's a bit distressed).
Not sure how the feeding is going. The baby so far is very sleepy.
All he best to squizita, alb and febup on your labours.
