Fingers crossed it would be nice if this was the end of the stress :) x

TeaRex · 15/08/2014 19:59

squiz glad it's all looking positive for you :)

baby sounds like as much as a nightmare this move will be it's a good thing so I hope it goes as smoothly as it can now. When does your husband find out about the job?

silver I agree with the others, can't believe they wouldn't do a blood test!? Idiots, at least you've got the harmony one lined up now, fingers crossed all is well x

miss I know it can be tough when things look like they're the same as before but this is a new pregnancy so keep calm (as you can) and positive and try not to think about things too much over the weekend if you can x

amicable with my dd my placenta was also on the front so I didn't feel anything till later as well :)

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 20:57

tearex I don't know when it's 2 weeks before they stop taking applications then he had to have an interview so it will be a while :( plus the joys of moving around the corner from the mil she suddenly has plans for my new house and garden DH is going to handle that though.

Can I just build a blanket fort and hide for a while. Think I'll charge ice cream for entrance lol

Alb1 · 15/08/2014 22:30

baby that sounds so stressful, especially not being able
To see it until just before you move in, but it's lovely that you'll get to do a nursery!

squiz great news on the water birth!

mrsg how exciting that labour is so close! Are you making the most of relaxing for the next few days or tryna bring full labour on faster? Project eviction has been underway for a week here now but it doesn't seem to have made any difference :-/ but I just can't relax!

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 22:39

Psmith83 · 16/08/2014 08:05

Hi everyone! It's me again. Just got a BFP after being boozed up, cheesed and pate-d in France. Shock (I've subsequently looked at all the 'omg-did-I-harm-my-baby-with-my-boozing-in-two-week-wait) I'm not even sure how it happened- we only dtd a few times....we left the day after my miscarriage at the end of July. (6 months after molar miscarriage) Cue an avalanche of worry. I reckon I'm 4 weeks today. Going to lurk and hope the posifrikinivity rubs off on me. Thanks for all your support last time, ladies.

squizita · 16/08/2014 08:31

Baby hope the new unseen house is lovely!! Stay sane ... as you can moving house when pregnant!

Psmith don't worry about the 2 ww - the peak times for conception are holidays and Xmas and all this babies are fine! :) Congrats on conceiving straight after the loong 6 month wait! :)

amicablemoomin · 16/08/2014 09:46

Welcome back Psmith! Great to see you back. Congratulations!

Babytinx11 · 16/08/2014 09:52

Thanks squiz trying to find energy at the moment to get started packing again lol :)

Hey psmith welcome back :) I wouldn't worry about your France trip fun harming your baby I found out I was expecting DS after a very very boozey trip to Spain and he is fine :) and this baby I found out I was excepting after an early and very boozey anniversary trip :) mw said both times not to worry just not to do it now I knew I was pregnant :)

Cakebaker35 · 16/08/2014 11:57

baby sorry you're having such a stressful time, really hope your new house is lovely and enjoy planning the nursery x

psmith great to see you here, congratulations! And don't worry about the boozing, as others have said it is so common. I was absolutely pickling myself on hols when I got pregnant this time so you're not alone! X

Psmith83 · 16/08/2014 14:34

Thanks for the warm welcome Squiz, cake Baby and Am. Reassurances gladly accepted re: boozing. Feeling more positive already.

MrsGiraffe12 · 16/08/2014 16:28

Ok, so call me mental or whatever but I'm terrified. I've hardly felt baby move today, I've a pounding headache and I feel sick. I'm going to call maternity ward but I'm sure they are sick of seeing me (all pregnancy stuff is dealt with in one place here) as I've been up about 6 times in 10 weeks, not counting the scan on Wednesday or the visit Thursday night. Plus DH and DS are out of town till 7pm and not easy for them to get back, and I've no one to take me to hospital.

Any tips on how to try to get baby moving before I call and waste yet more valuable NHS time and money x

MrsG if you have had a cold drink and a sit down and are still not satisfied, go in.
Recent scares = more reason to go, not less!
Give them a ring now for advice, and do what they suggest.

Not to alarm you but a colleague of mine had a day like you describe, turned out she was "silently" dilating! Her vigilance paid off, all was well in the end.

MrsGiraffe12 · 16/08/2014 16:41

Thanks squizita just posting has calmed me down a little. I guess the fear of phoning stems from MIL the other day, she says I've been up far too many times for normal pregnancy things and they must be fed up of me by now! And that I need to calm down!

Sat here with ice cold water and if it doesn't work I'll call. X

Babytinx11 · 16/08/2014 16:44

Hope all is well mrsg chocolate always used to wake up DS and ice cream. If your feeling yukky though I would call and talk to your midwife or the ward and remember your not wasting their time :)

MrsGiraffe12 · 16/08/2014 17:02

Ok, so I have necked a pint of ice cold water and have had a few more jabs than I've felt all day, but they are more gentle. Going to have another pint of the water and a lie down and see what happens.

My god, having DS early and having the miscarriage has turned me into a lunatic :-(

OP posts:
Alb1 · 16/08/2014 17:33

mrsg your not a lunatic at all, your being responsible following medical advice, they won't care how often you phone up or go in, it's better safe than sorry! Hopefully your little ones started wriggling around now tho

Babytinx11 · 16/08/2014 18:35

mrsg alb is right your not a lunatic it's the right thing to get checked if your worried thinking of you hope all is ok :)

Psmith83 · 16/08/2014 19:33

Hey Mrs. G, the NHS is paid for by all of our taxes, and they are the best people to advise you, even if you have seen them often. It's why they're there. It sounds like you have good reason to be concerned esp with your past experiences, and you're definitely not a lunatic

InternetFOREVER · 16/08/2014 21:29

Mrs G I hope you're feeling better and have been feeling more kicks - if not, I hope you're in being checked out at the moment. They really won't mind... my experience is that they tend to be more scolding about not going in rather than about being overcautious!

SuzyBean · 16/08/2014 22:25

Thanks for the welcome!

Mrs G you're definitely not wasting the NHS' time, that's what they are there for.

Have any of you been for a private scan in London, if so can you recommend anywhere? I was talking to my lovely midwife friend today and she said that she doesn't know how but it's proven that when ladies who have recurrent miscarriages have more early scans their pregnancy is more likely to continue - so I'm going to go for it and hope that I'm part of the statistics that prove this point!!

MrsGiraffe12 · 16/08/2014 23:33

Hi all.
Am back from maternity assessment.
True to fashion, the second I was strapped up baby giraffe started having a party in my uterus.
Heartrate fine and they are happy. I'm contracting still, but not enough to be established labour still. Still not dilated either.

Thanks for the fish slaps, the midwifes echoed what you said, go up if I'm ever worried or concerned. It takes 30 mins for a basic monitering x

mrsgiraffe12I am glad all is well

squizita · 17/08/2014 08:43

What a relief MrsG
When my mum had similar pregnancy health issues in the 70s-80s, they admitted her for a month at a time! So you are not being over cautious, tech has just improved so they can check you with ease.

I have to go to ikea and buy colourful plastic storage tubs for the nursery today. Never mind having bubs, I think I need hypnosis and drugs to get through this task lol!

amicablemoomin · 17/08/2014 10:05

so glad all is ok mrsg. good luck squiz!!!
