missmakesstuff · 15/08/2014 10:10

No, I've been on at him to tell them, they've been here two days.
I just hate all this. We had arranged to take my dd swimming, will have to try to think of an excuse. Dh is at work.
Thanks for the 'don't panic'. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow and I've seen a hb on a scan so that's in my favour. So far it's light pink/ Brown.

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 10:11

missmakes have you got a number for your epu? If not give your gp a call. But most of all try and relax it's just coincidental that the same events as last time are happening it's not long since your scan and baby was f

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 10:12

*fine then it's probably just left over from when you had your bleed but talk to someone put your mind at ease :) x

missmakesstuff · 15/08/2014 10:19

Thanks I'm having a few serious words with myself. Epu not answering phone at the moment.

HollyBen · 15/08/2014 10:32

Thinking of you miss. Hopefully epu will see you and put your mind at rest xx

amicablemoomin · 15/08/2014 10:33

thanks one - it is getting a bit unnerving as people keep asking me if I've felt them yet! 2 weeks is a long time so will try to hold off worrying until then!!!

miss keep breathing and try not to panic (much easier typed than done I know). The sense of doom is difficult to rise above but keep breathing, keep trying epu and do your best to distract yourself. Again, easier said than done I know.

Cakebaker35 · 15/08/2014 10:39

miss as others have said try not to worry, with all my experiences at epu they've always said they generally aren't worried about brown blood as it's old blood. But do keep trying them, worth being seen for peace of mind. In your shoes I'd just tell the in laws, it's an added layer of stress you don't need x

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 10:50

miss cake is right it'll take allot of your stress away if you don't have to hide things from your in laws better to just tell them then when you get into be seen at epu they might even watch your lo for you hope everything settles for you :)

squizita · 15/08/2014 11:14

miss hope you get through to the EPU. If its brown and mixed with discharge it may well be OK. Fx for you.

amicable sometimes kicks take up to 24 weeks to be clear. Understand the impatience though!!

silver shocked they didn't do bloods! Bearing in mind a fuzzy scan can miss all sorts - I'd think an unusual scan would be more reason to do bloods.

MrsG hoping your pre labour turns into proper labour soon! Contractions but no action? What a quite literal PITA!

Hi Suzy hope this is an uneventful one!

Just back from hospital. Recent discomfort seems to be explained... 36 weeks, body and baby seem to think more like 37 lol! She's well down and big enough. Thankfully they think more a "not likely to be late" baby not an early one though!
Consultant also said I was super OK for a water birth (there is no longer anything unusual about your pregnancy, the clexane did its job, of course you may use the pool), and wrote it in my notes. Phew.

MrsGiraffe12 · 15/08/2014 11:53

squizita yay for being allowed a water birth :-) but boo to little miss behaving like she's older than she is, hopefully this trend won't continue into teenage years ;-)

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/08/2014 13:10

missmake thinking of you and hopefully you can through to EPU.

squizita that's really good news re "nothing unusual about your pregnancy". Hopefully it'll really put your mind to rest with the clexane issue. I know how stressed you are about coming off it.

mrsg hope you are ok with the braxton hicks. Sounds like yours going to come very very soon. I remember you have a c-section scheduled for 38 weeks isn't it? Are they going to move forward your c-section since you are getting quite strong pre-labour signs? Or are they going to let you going into labour naturally?

HollyBen · 15/08/2014 13:41

amicable I didn't feel DD move until around 23 weeks. it can depend on where the placenta id attached. Mine was anterior. When I had my scan at 21 weeks the sonographer said he wasn't surprised given the placenta location.

How are you getting on miss?

missmakesstuff · 15/08/2014 13:57

I went swimming in the end, felt it might help if it's just stretching pains as have been getting lots of those, still got the pains and little bit more pink blood.
Dh saying don't worry. Phone emu and the will see me 9am Monday. Really hoping it's nothing. Every time I get a bit excited or hopeful there's something else. Going to tell outlaws tonight, still got sickness and sore boobs. Fingercrossed it's nothing.

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 14:17

Oh the stress one day I'll have a whole stress free day :( had a call this morning informing me that we have to move house like now that social Lettings have found us a new house and we view it on the 29th to move in on the 1st of September practically got steam coming out my ears have so much to do including finding DS a new school and sorting and packing a whole house on my own while DH is at work at DS follows me around unpacking stuff. Oh and I don't do organised :(

missmakes fingers crossed Monday comes quick and you have an uneventful weekend

Fab news about being allowed a water birth squiz :)

MrsGiraffe12 · 15/08/2014 14:35

onetoddler I agreed to the ELCS at 38 weeks but said provided that my blood pressure behaves if I go into labour before hand I'll give it a go naturally, though there are restraints on labour, ie go in ASAP when contractions start/waters break, need a cannula as soon as I'm in established labour, continuous monitoring, only allowed 12 hours of labour before c section etc etc :-)

baby and breathe. Have you any family around you to help you at all? x

OP posts:
Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 14:47

mrsg I have family around but because of work ect they can only give minimal help and my mum is disabled so physically can't help I think it's the shock more than anything it's so out of the blue have to change midwife ect now to :( just want to scream

missmakesstuff · 15/08/2014 15:12

Baby that's rubbish, try to take it one thing at a time. Can they give you only that much notice? Sounds very quick esp if you have to move your ds school, were you expecting the move?

Thanks for all the thoughts, it's stopped now. I am just being ridiculous, I'm sure it's all fine. Just had a really sicky and sleepy half hour so that's pretty normal :)

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 15:25

We were apparently meant to have had a letter 6 weeks ago but it never got sent so now it's mad rush time backs in bits and I feel like I am getting nowhere after a tearful call to my mum she assures me it will suddenly look like I have done loads not seeing it so far but about half way through sorting my bedroom which will be the biggest job I think lol other than ds's toys, just seems to be one thing after another at least I won't have time to worry so that's a positive I guess lol.

Glad your feeling happier and better missmakes

MrsGiraffe12 · 15/08/2014 15:38

baby that's awful. If they haven't sent the letter surely they should give you a bit longer?? And as for changing schools and doctors etc, urgh that's rubbish at best of times let alone when pregnant x

amicablemoomin · 15/08/2014 15:59

how stressful baby. hope you make progress and aren't too exhausted.

Squiz, great news on the water birth, sounds like your consultant is very pleased with everything which is great.

Thanks to everyone for the reassurance re lack of movement at 22 weeks, feel much better knowing that it is fine not to feel anything for another couple of weeks.

miss thinking of you, hope nothing else happens to worry you this weekend and you can cancel the epu.

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 16:17

Anyone got a magic wand get this packing done for me losing the will to live and I only started a few hours ago :( on the plus side just spoke to my nan who has tons of boxes and stuff for me :) and a dishwasher if out kitchen in the new house that I won't see until 2 days before we move in whole thing is a nightmare but a secure home is the important bit and at least I'm not ready to drop and moving.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/08/2014 16:40

baby I like the positive sentiment you have in your last sentence. Just keep telling yourself that it is for the best you are moving to a secure home. That way, you can properly set up for the new baby without having to worry about anything! At least you aren't due next week. (I know it's rubbish, but this thread is about posifrickintivity, and should extend to shitty life situations too).

Babytinx11 · 15/08/2014 17:06

It's the shock more than anything it's so out of the blue but at least they didn't say I'm moving next week lol although that would have made school easier but can't have it all :) actually proud of my organising skills so far and this way baby can have a nursery instead of sharing with DS :) and it's taking my mind of panicking about my 12 week app a week today :)

OneLittleToddleTerror · 15/08/2014 18:01

Hopefully a week of stress will pave the way to great news for you next week. A nursery for the baby, a good 12 week scan. The only way is up isn't it?
