baby so pleased that today brought good news and reassurance - hopefully now the rest of this trimester will fly!

CorporeSarnie · 12/08/2014 17:32

mrsg, take a deep breath. It is useful for them to know presentation for ELCS so that they can plan how to do the op, as different positions do make a bit of a difference. Very very unlikely to deliver you tomorrow.
Glad to hear good news from scans coming around.
All quiet here - have started to prepare a bit, washing pram, moses and carseat fabrics and thinking about hospital bags - but main thing I am putting off is going thru all the vac bags of stuff from DD - there is so much stuff, and I somehow can't face it until I am sure this one is on its way.
Called my GP surgery to try and arrange whooping cough jab (as am 28 weeks), they knew nothing about it and asked me if it can wait til my next MW visit (at 35weeks) - I have asked them to get her to call me (as my CMW has changed and I don't have the new one's number). Generally I have no complaints about my treatment, but I do feel like I shouldn't have to chase things like this.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/08/2014 17:58

corpore that's appalling. I'm sure I got a pamphlet saying it's recommended to be done between 28 and 32 weeks. 35 would be far too late!

fedupofrainydays · 12/08/2014 18:02

I feel really tired and sick today. Wonder if it's whopping cough jab? corp I too had to chase mine / book it in myself via the 'treatment room' not the mw.

Just want DH to come home early and help me for once. He's quit his job so why does he still need to work late???? And then he will ask me to make some important decisions at 11pm about what house stuff we want (expensive things as they are needed for builder tomorrow). Hate it.

Please to hear good scan news! And hope you can relax a bit now baby!

TeaRex · 12/08/2014 18:08

baby great news :)
mrsg mini slap to you but def look at it as a chance to see your baby one more time before the c section x
corpre that is crap :/ insist on an earlier appt, it isn't the midwives that do it anyhow is it? A nurse did mine with my dd so they should be able to get you in.

MrsGiraffe12 · 12/08/2014 18:19

Thanks all. It's just so scary having all the extra checks to be honest I keep thinking something will go wrong. Sod's law is our delivery date for our pram is tomorrow and I can't find on the city link website how to change delivery date for a more suitable date :-(

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 18:31

Only a week till the magic 12 now :) and got allot on with my mums birthday and stuff so it should go quickly :)

corpore is it possible to get the jab by seeing your gp? It's bad that they are asking you to wait that long :(

fedup I'm so with you on the working late DH is working till 11 again tonight after starting work at 8.30 this morning thankfully he is looking for a new job with sociable hours. Hope your DH isn't home too late

ilovechops · 12/08/2014 19:46

Blimey reading your posts baby and fedup am sat here thanking my lucky stars to have DH home at 6.30. I do not know how I would cope without him here to do bath and bed with DD. Feel so sick now just lying on sofa. Have managed to make dinner today for us which is an improvement. I'll try and be a bit nicer to him. The house is always a bit of a mess at the moment mainly because I am home a lot lot more than usual (not got the energy to get out much yet) and because when DD naps so do I and that's usually when I do jobs. So the jobs aren't getting done! Hope it's only a few weeks like this!!

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 19:59

ilove even when DH is finishing at 5 he doesn't get home till 7 by which time DS is in bed because he is unbearable after about 6pm lol but most nights DH works till 11 and doesn't get home until after midnight it is thinking about it actually a miracle that I got pregnant lol really hoping that DH manages to get a new job with more family friendly hours and maybe even some weekends off a girl can dream lol

ilovechops · 12/08/2014 20:15

baby that would drive me mad! What does he do? Sounds intense! I'm trying to be nice but just snapped at DH for asking if dinner is ready because I feel like I want to hurl so much. Hating this evening nausea so much!

miss did you try the B6?

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 20:33

ilove he is a manager at a bowling alley so it's allot of hours for comparitively shit money but the bowling alley is part of a charity it's a not for profit hence rubbish wages all the profit goes into funding more community projects. He likes that side of it allot so I have learned to deal with it

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/08/2014 20:40

I don't know how you cope with DH getting home so late either. I'm exhausted most evening. Tonight I fell asleep on the sofa while DH cooks dinner, and DD watching peppa pig.

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 20:47

It's been the same since DH started this job I guess I just got used to it and his lights up when they start new projects and stuff or help kids who need it he teaches pool once a month at a youth club for kids who have been in trouble too. However even thought he sounds like a saint he isn't quite housetrained yet lol but he can cook so I guess It's not all bad lol

Alb1 · 12/08/2014 22:51

Dunno if anyone wud be around for advice this late, but DPs asleep so I need to talk somewhere... I'm in pain n I dunno what the pain in, it's like severe period pain, similar in intensity to my MC (but without the hot n sick feeling) but I don't think it's contractions but my stomach isn't tightening at all and it's mainly on one side... But it's getting more and more intense...

So glad to see ur good scan news baby must be a relief.

mrsg have a little fish slap from me, although we all get scan doom, but as this one is mainly to have a look a presentation just try to enjoy seeing your baby Smile

Alb1 · 13/08/2014 00:02

The pain has now compleatly gone... I'm not complaining but I don't understand, my body is so confusing these days...

MrsGiraffe12 · 13/08/2014 06:34

Alb I know it's not much help but I've been gettin pains like that, the moniter at hospital picked them up when I went in for reassurance. But, here's the kicker, they are not strong enough to be contractions :-( aparently just Braxton hicks :-(

Maybe call midwife if your concerned x

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2014 07:04

Yeah, I hardly see DH in the week. I go at 6.30am and he often doesn't get back til gone 10pm. I have to sit tight when my NCT whinge their husband will 'be late' tonight which to them is 7pm!!! It's a miracle if DH is home by then. So fully preparing myself for managing two kids at Bath time and to bed. Yikes. Pregnancy has been hard as ds is so lively at bed time and wants to play hide and seek, be picked up / carried etc! Although I've done no formal exercise I am def fitter this pregnancy due to ds!

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2014 07:12

Hope you are ok alb. BH can be really painful. I feel sick with some of mine. Talking of sick, feeling very unwell today. Would have stayed in bed but just got south work to do so facing the commute. Ugh.

Cakebaker35 · 13/08/2014 08:19

alb hope you're ok this a.m? Bh can really hurt but so can stretching when the little blighters are on the move. I also got checked out once by mw only to find it was wind, oops Blush

fedup I hear you about being solo in the evenings. My dh often late, very erratic working hours but never back by 7 either. Slightly scared of bedtime with two but that means actually allowing myself to think we will actually have two....

...I need a fish slap please. Just feeling very unpregnant this a.m, even my bump doesn't seem as massive as it has done. I'm 17+2 today and you'd think with my first bleed free 2 wks of this pregnancy that I'd be a bit less bonkers now, but nope, I just have a feeling of doom. Anyone else just get this some days? Bucket of haddock please.

MrsGiraffe12 · 13/08/2014 08:38

Buckets of haddock for you cakebaker tho

MrsGiraffe12 · 13/08/2014 08:39
  • though hugs too. It's scary being pregnant x
OP posts:
blankfornames · 13/08/2014 08:49

I'll gladly share that bucket of haddock with you Cakebaker. After an amazing 12 scan last week, my boobs aren't sore anymore & I'm feeling v. unpregnant. I just want to be able to feel flutters so I know that we're all doing ok!
There was me thinking the 2 ww was tough! Wink

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/08/2014 08:55

blank and cake no the scare doesn't go away until the baby is born, at least for me. I think I have just become so much more jumpy compared to last time. I was so relaxed first time round. The thought of things could go wrong never entered my mind. I was monitoring movement, symptoms etc.

I have spent yesterday night and this morning obsessed about movements. Sad I know it's illogical. I felt some movement but it feels less than normal. In my head I know I'm imagining it. I can't wait for my growth scan tomorrow. I really hope nothing is wrong. I will need a share of that haddock too.

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/08/2014 08:56

I mean I didn't monitor movements last time. I thought nothing could go wrong!

OneLittleToddleTerror · 13/08/2014 08:57

alb you must be over 37 weeks isn't it? If the pain keeps up I think you can contact the labour ward now, instead of your midwife.
