Sorry ilove I've just read back - that's great news!

ilovechops · 11/08/2014 18:53

miss I take 25mg 3 x a day (one at bed). It's not all that widely used in UK but in US and Canada they prescribe all the time alongside an anti-histamine. Basically the B6 has helped me loads, spoke to my GP friend before taking who said up to 100mg was ok. Probs not for long term use tho (for you) but she said first trimester ok.

Google Unisom or Dicelctin. They are the b6 drugs used in US and Canada. Supposedly actually the only A class safety drug available anywhere in the world for morning sickness but rather annoyingly we don't have it in the UK. Millions of women taking it there though for 50 years or so. I compared that to the stemitil I was prescribed and thought the safety record was higher and I didn't fancy taking an anti psychotic!!

fab scan news internet and missmake
thinking of you tomorrow baby FX x

scan today showed cyst still present, but very slightly smaller. still no idea what it actually mean though. I see consultant in foetal medicine next week, and if not regressing they will do in utero MRI to full assess the brain. other than that, still no soft markers for DS present, and they have accepted that we do not want an amnio.
Baby refused to keep still, so it took ages for the scan, and DS asked questions about every minute structure.
DS and DH came to bickering match when she was asking if we wanted to know the sex; both wanted to know, but DH felt that he should know before DS! Grrr. I just got up and said 'fine, no-one knows' and walked out. It's far too hot sticky and stressful for all that, and all I cared about was the anomaly scan bit, so until next time, we remain team yellow...

hugs to all the panicky ladies today xx

TeaRex · 11/08/2014 20:23

Wow! So brilliant to hear such good scan news :) baby hope yours goes well tomorrow as well.

cuppa don't blame you for walking out! But did make me chuckle :) hope next week shows the cyst is going away.

Afm, my 20 week scan is on Thursday, I'm feeling some small movements which makes me happy but then the next minute I've c

TeaRex · 11/08/2014 20:25

*convinced myself it's all in my mind :/ trying to stay positive that all will be well and we'll find out if it's a boy or girl (not that we're bothered, just impatient and can't agree on names :) )

Babytinx11 · 11/08/2014 20:48

So getting an early night and hoping for a call early in the morning fingers crossed I'm just worrying about nothing for my sanity I need it to be an early app

liesal79 · 11/08/2014 21:18

Great scan news.
T. Rex, I had my 20 week scan & STILL haven't felt any movements, but there he was somersaulting around and not sitting still long enough so scan took ages! Positive thoughts to all xxx

missmakesstuff · 11/08/2014 22:35

Thanks ilove, going to give it a go, only got 100mg tablets but will try 100mg then cut them in half if I start to feel better and see if 50mg still works. I'm not actually being sick but just constant nausea is just getting me down. In a good way, overjoyed to be feeling sick really.

Dh was chuffed at scan, spent the evening looking at buggies(even though we have one). Think it's his way of getting excited, although I'm still going to be waiting for the 12 week as I'm so old.

Good news cuppa, hope it continues to improve.

ilovechops · 11/08/2014 23:09

miss I would cut them in half to
Start. Just being cautious but my GP mate told me to try and avoid going higher than 100mg altho when I asked why she didn't really have a reason but on some websites they advise 50mg per day and I increased mine to 75 as read somewhere that taking three doses in the day rather than one would release it into my system better. I think this could be true as I fine worse part of the day for me is between 7-11pm which would mean I haven't taken any side approx 1pm.

Anyway bedtime finally, I feel absolutely awful tonight, terrible nausea as I ate much too late and I should know better.

Hope all goes ok tomo baby and happy to read your scan news liesel!

InternetFOREVER · 12/08/2014 07:30

Thinking of you today baby hope they get you in for your scan nice and quickly!

Boozle80 · 12/08/2014 07:46

Holiday today, hurrah! See you all next week xx

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 09:37

Still no app from epu I have called them and mw and waiting to hear back. The lack of communication here is shocking my mw team had no idea about A&E as it was a mw from the ward who sent me in my poor cmw was worrying that I had miscarried specially after she had been trying to call the wrong number so hadn't had an answer from me :( this morning is turning into a nightmare :( wish they would just hurry up and get me scanned so I know what's going on

MrsGiraffe12 · 12/08/2014 09:41

baby what a nightmare for you :-( hope you get things sorted soon xx

TeaRex · 12/08/2014 11:20

baby hope they've got their arses into gear and given you an appointment by now, if not is it worth just going up there anyhow or is it appt only? X

Davidtennantmistress · 12/08/2014 12:47

:( baby.

my taste buds have changed, has anyone elses? apparently now ham sandwiches are tasteless. crisps tasteless can't wait till the 12 week scan thurs but keep having bad dreams it goes wrong. :(

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 15:08

Finally had my scan all is good baby wriggling around healthy heartbeat all measuring right too :) so happy now got a pic of our 10 week 6 day bean as well :) feel silly for worrying now but so glad everything is ok and they were lovely at the epu very apologetic for how long it took to let me know when my appointment was as well

ilovechops · 12/08/2014 15:19

Yay baby congrats on happy scan news! So pleased for you!

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 15:49

Thanks ilove I cried when she showed me baby wriggling around I was so sure something was going to be wrong

InternetFOREVER · 12/08/2014 15:53

Fab news baby! Have you got your 12 week scan booked in yet? End of 1st trimester is in sight!

David yeah loads of things don't taste as good as they used to! Am bad with textures at the moment too so not enjoying my food much (although have to eat almost constantly to keep morning sickness at bay!)

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 16:01

internet mw said my app should come through for 12 weeks at the end of this week as they are doing apps today just hoping it isn't Thursday next week as that's my mums 50th and we are meant to be with my mum all day and DH isn't off until Wednesday and his work are buggers about letting him out for scans and stuff :( but we'll see

MrsGiraffe12 · 12/08/2014 16:27

Hi all.

Fish slap needed, I've got my presentation scan tomorrow to see if baby is still breech or not. When I questioned why I'm still having it (ie pre eclampsia now so baby will be c section regardless) they said it's booked in and they will do it, they know babies lie for the operation, plus can check is all well as has been a month since my last growth scan anyway. I'm now paranoid they will find something wrong with baby, even though movements have been fine. Perhaps because I've never been this pregnant before I'm bound to be concerned? Part of me is convinced they will have to deliver me tomorrow :-S that's how crazy I am x

OneLittleToddleTerror · 12/08/2014 17:01

I'm so glad everyone is having great scan news. Cuppa have a nice holiday and it must be a relieve they couldn't find any other soft markers. (Which I take it's good news).

MrsGiraffe you need a fish slap indeed. How can you refuse a free scan. It's a chance to see your little one.

I had my 34 weeks MW appointment today. The bump is measured small with a fundal height of 31cm. I think +/- 2cm is normal? Anyway, I am getting a growth scan Thursday morning. I shouldn't be worried because I went through the same thing with DD last time. It was either after 34 or 36 week appointment, I got a growth scan for measuring small. Everything was ok, and she's just small. She was born at 37+5 at 2.52kg, which is really tiny but at least healthy. But my confidence is so knocked in this pregnancy that I'm scared what could be wrong. Obviously DH told me it'll be fine and that it's just I have small babies. I guess it'll be just two worrying nights. Otherwise it's all good at the appointment. The midwife measured normal fetal heartrate of 151, normal blood pressure, felt baby movement etc.

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 17:06

mrsg just enjoy seeing your baby again :) scans are scary full stop but even if they do decide to deliver you tomorrow which is unlikely your little one is pretty much completely cooked and is very unlikely to need help and it will just mean newborn cuddles earlier :)

Babytinx11 · 12/08/2014 17:09

one I had loads of growth scans and scans to check fluid levels with DS as one app I would measuring a head and the next behind it kind of became a running joke that a mw or consultants app meant a scan I had one at 36 weeks with DS and they showed me his face which was super cool and apparently doesn't happen often with normal scans :)
