Hi everyone,

a long weekend away, and everything moving at high pace, as usual!

That's great news boozle Grin

Best wishes ilovechops and miss, and also baby; hoping tomorrow come quickly for you.

20 week scan this afternoon for me. Bubs appears to be trampolining between my cervix and stomach base this morning. Ouchio and heartburn city, however deco alive and kicking! I promised DS that he could come to the scan, and now having nightmares about more bad news, but hoping got find out more about this cyst. FX it's gone, but consultant felt that was very unlikely so soon.

We are off on holiday tomorrow; very much needed, and I really should be washing and packing rather than stressing about scans, but hey ho. Off for a good catch up on news further back instead ;)
best wishes to all x

Cuppachaplz · 11/08/2014 10:04

fabulousness chops
(I had no symptoms with DS, not even weight gain or bigger boobs, so don't take that as a bad sign)

OneLittleToddleTerror · 11/08/2014 10:06

Great news boozle and ilove.

cuppa all the best with your scan today. It's good you are feeling kicks already. I wasn't until 23-24 (as the consultant told me would) and I think it's because of the anterior placenta. I'm sure you'll hear good news this afternoon. Enjoy your holiday too. I really need it but the timing isn't great as I'm in no state to go anywhere now.

GailLondon · 11/08/2014 10:11

Hey Everyone!

Great news on the scan Boozle! and good luck to those with scans coming up soon.

I'm just plodding along really, nothing to report, but I think its a no news is good news kinda situation!
Bought myself a home doppler which I'm finding really reassuring, to get me through until I have the 20 week scan or can feel kicks much more regularly.

My 20 week scan is on 9th September, which I've just realised is the date baby 2 was supposed to have been born! Makes me feel a bit weird thinking about it....

Have had about 5 people in the last couple of weeks asking (or assuming!) if I am coming back to work part time after the baby arrives. Whereas no-one has ever asked my husband! (we work in the same large company on similar wages). Just makes me a bit grrr! DH and I will be splitting the parental leave like we did last time, and people look at us like we are crazy! Come on, it's 2014, people!

ilovechops · 11/08/2014 10:23

cuppa good luck for today! And unfortunately I defo have weight gain, have been pretty last and already put on 5lb! I am slim but don't want it to continue at this rate...more exercise starts today. Thankfully the constant eating in wks 5-6 seems to have stopped!

gail that annoys me so much that people have asked you. None of their flipping business! People are so presumptuous! I would probably say something like 'I'm planning to come back full time after one month of leave' just to shut them up!

missmakesstuff · 11/08/2014 10:56

Morning all, great to hear all the good news from scans, I phoned the doc this morning and she got me straight into the epu, scanned and the bean is there, heart beating away and measuring 7week's 2, which is perfect, to day I'm relieved would be an understatement! I cried quite a lot, can't seem to help it these days!

Off for a belated birthday lunch with my friend, going to tell her today. Realised the woman at the epu is the first (real life) person to say congrats, long may it continue!

SeaSaltMill · 11/08/2014 10:58

Morning all. We had a lovely weekend telling family and friends our news after a great scan on Friday morning! the measured me bang on 12 weeks which means that at my nuchal next Weds I will be 13 weeks 5 days!

GandTnow · 11/08/2014 11:56

So pleased to read all the good scan news from everyone! Hurray for us all!

GandTnow · 11/08/2014 12:00

Have been dancing around the house today trying to sorted before people come and stay this afternoon; and I just realised that it is the first time in about 2 months that I've felt this well and relaxed. I know that at 13 weeks its right I should be feeling better, but I pretty convinced its just that I've relaxed and started to think about being pregnant as something exciting and good instead of something likely to end in gloom.

InternetFOREVER · 11/08/2014 12:09

Great news on the scans! I had one this morning as well, everything looking fine measuring 8+1 which is fine as I thought I was 8 weeks exactly. Another scan in 2 weeks time which all going well will be my last trip to the EPU (not that they aren't lovely but after 4 pregnancies I'm so ready to move into 2nd tri!)

cuppa good luck for this afternoon, sounds like you'll be seeing some somersaults!

Alb1 · 11/08/2014 12:12

Great to see lovely scan news today! Sorry you have to wait till tomoro baby hope you can keep distracted to keep your mind off it today.

gail I no what you mean, this baby is due the same weekend that I miscarried last year, feels very strange and I think will be slightly bitter sweet, but it's nice to see how much things can change in a year!

Cakebaker35 · 11/08/2014 12:15

Fantastic scan news Grin x

HollyBen · 11/08/2014 12:46

Great to hear all the positive scan news this morning. baby the waiting and not knowing is horrible
fx for positive news tomorrow.

I am feeling a bit Sad today for no othet reason that I feel ok! Apart from being tired, no nausea, not so hungry, boobs not tender. And I have 10 days until 12 week scan.

Davidtennantmistress · 11/08/2014 12:56

hi every one it's been a while. i'm in need of a fish slap pelase today.

last night hubs/I were picking names, I've got v tender boobs to lay on tummy to lay on makes me queezy, sickness has really really subsided. mostly not just in the am. but i'm so paranoid on thurs there will be no heartbeat. I really wish we had had another scan now. I want to sit n rock n cry.

< slaps self> there's nothing to suggest m.c quite the contrary but even still. doesn't help that thurs i'll be 12+2 so for me would be a late m.c however this time last year (well was a year ago last thursday so one week extra) my SIL had a m.c at 12+2 just spontaneously started to bleed.

Have booked into see my Dr as well for swabs ref the BV but can't get in for three weeks - I think I may have to either see if they'll do it on thurs not sure they will or do an emergency call friday as she's only in twice a week.

Alb1 · 11/08/2014 14:54

Just seen the midwife (37+2 today) and the baby is 2/5 engaged, which sounded quite exciting, until my excessive googling told me it actually means nothing about when labour will start Sad but all is well which is the main thing, not doing the birth plan till next week as the mw had forgotten to give me the info I need for it which is frustrating as I was all ready to get it done today, but I guess the chances of the baby coming this week are pretty slim anyway so it doesn't matter really, just wish the mw cud be more organised!

bythesea82 · 11/08/2014 15:28

Hi all,
Please can I join you Smile?
Few familiar names so hi again and hi to those I haven't met on other threads (waving)
Just found out I am pregnant, will be 5 weeks Wednesday.
Background, TTC #1 since Dec 12, 2 mc at about 10 weeks and then an op for cyst removal. They found I only have 1 ovary so will be booked in for a scan to rule out ectopic preg in the next week or so.
Feeling knackered and terrified, third time lucky??
Going to have a read back now but hope Monday ok for you all Flowers

Babytinx11 · 11/08/2014 15:38

Fab scan news from everyone today which is awesome to see :) I've been out most of the day doing the weekly food shop boring but kept me busy :) sickness is back with big time and not just around taking anti b's so that's a bit reassuring tomorrow morning will the the worst bit waiting for epu to call with app :( have to take DS in with me this time as DH isn't able to get time out of work to come with me :( my mum is taking me can't face going with mil just incase it's bad news

squizita · 11/08/2014 15:44

Chops great news!

Cuppa good luck, hope the cyst is shrinking away nicely.

Miss phew what a massive relief that must be!! Also great for you internet!

Holly might just be early symptoms fading! They do that (if you're not in our boat you love it lol)! Taps David with a halibut... Probs the same for you too!

Gail tell me about it. I had a long term friend tell me it was "unnatural" that DH wanted to change his work/life after the baby! Weird. "But he has a professional job..." ERM yeah so do I and I'm a manager! So why is it OK for me to have time with our longed for kid but he can't?

Waves to everyone!!

Got a tour of the MLU booked for Saturday! Eep! As the youngsters say "shit just got real".
Also just told off future child for the first time. She was being unusually quiet after lunch so I said if she didn't move immediately she would be off to see the lady with the tummy machine and we both know she doesn't like that. Flurry of sulky kicks within 30 seconds haha.

MrsGiraffe12 · 11/08/2014 16:34

alb I got told on Thursday at 35+5 I'm 3/5 engaged. Then in the next breath told it doesn't mean much :-( I'm kinda hoping the midwife was mistaken as she said baby is head down which means no c section for me. Urgh x

HollyBen · 11/08/2014 17:09

With dd I was told I was 2/5 rngahted at 37 weeks which basically means, errrr you are still pg as far as I could tell! DD was 11 agonisingly swollen, uncomfotable, carpel tunnell suffering days late- worth ut I then end though Wink

HollyBen · 11/08/2014 17:10

*engaged obviously

fedupofrainydays · 11/08/2014 17:25

They can bounce in and out of engagedness if that makes sense. Ds was 3, then 2, then 3 then2!

Had whooping cough jab today - dreading to sore arm that will prevent sleep. Currently just feels warm. But as I had recent tetanus booster apparently it's supposed to hurt more. Random!

Thinking of you tomorrow baby

Babytinx11 · 11/08/2014 17:45

Thanx fedup say here quietly worrying myself sick :( fingers crossed they call early in the morning and I get scanned early otherwise I think I'll be sat rocking in a corner specially as DH will be gone from 7 in the morning :( be glad when I have had my scan prepared for bad news though even though they we pretty adamant Friday night the everything was ok I'm just feeling really stressed and nervous :(

Boozle80 · 11/08/2014 18:39

ilove how'd you get on?

missmakesstuff · 11/08/2014 18:43

baby keep positive, I'm sure it will be good news, thinking of you tomorrow, good luck. Hope everyone else with scans is getting good news.

Feeling very sick today, got some b6, those of you taking it, how much did you take? The woman in the heath food shop knew nothing about it being good for sickness.
