BIBIBOO · 25/05/2004 18:03

Beansprout, either you love us all v much and spent your break doing that, or like me, you're skiving off work to chat to us lot!!!

beansprout · 25/05/2004 18:28

It was a labour of love

(Plus a bit of cutting and pasting from the earlier posts!)

Turtle35 · 25/05/2004 18:32

Bean - well done thanks for that.

Bibiboo - any type of chocolate will help, lot's of chocolate biscuits are good, maltesers and definitely chocolate cake.

BIBIBOO · 25/05/2004 19:19

Off home now to eat chocolate and sit on patio feeling fat and happy...as long as grumpy neighbour isn't out to start moaning at me about the weed problem in his lawn - yeah, because that's MY fault how..? I'm a bit of a grouch myself too

beansprout · 25/05/2004 19:21

Tell him - "you should see what's growing in here mate" and start to hoist skirt as if to show him. Yuck of course, but will scare him off?

BIBIBOO · 25/05/2004 19:31

LOL Bean! Maybe I;ll do that... let you know tomorrow

beansprout · 25/05/2004 19:44

Should we keep an eye on the regional news?!

BIBIBOO · 26/05/2004 12:30

Didn't show neighbour anything last night, he was cutting the edges of his lawn with scissors (I kid you not!) and telling his son off to bother with me. I got my stretchmarked belly out and I think that put him off a bit... can't wait until I've got a huge bump to shove in the way of me and his moaning!
Maybe he'll stop talking to me all together when I get my baps out to feed bubba when it's born... actually, that'll be October so maybe not

beansprout · 26/05/2004 12:33

I like the thought of you feeding in the garden in the winter, just on principle though!

Bump is a bit sore today, apparently because the muscles are really stretching (or "tearing" as someone told me yesterday....nice). Did NOT want to come to work this morning and am a little concerned as dp and dsd are arguing at the moment and we have her this weekend.... but apart from that - I'm fine!!

BIBIBOO · 26/05/2004 13:11

I've been having nightmare stretching pains the last 3 days, have been assured it's normal, but again, it's only glossed over in the books.

Tell dp and dsd to go out on Sat and not come back until they have sorted out their differences. You may feel like wicked step-mother but it's for their own good... and your sanity!

beansprout · 26/05/2004 13:33

Thanks Bibiboo - that's reassuring to hear.

I burnt dinner last night and just started sobbing, and I mean SOBBING in a true preg sty-lie. I would have got hysterical, but I just didn't have the energy! Happy days!

piglit · 26/05/2004 13:35

Beansprout: it's not our fault - it's the hormones. I am particularly paranoid at the moment and I'm putting it down to hormones (either that or everyone is out to get me... )

BIBIBOO · 26/05/2004 13:50

I don't even cook anymore - even though it's my "job" in the house - DH lives off supernoodles and beans on toast - I can't face the trauma of getting something wrong, I might as well start crying as soon as I leave work really.

I cry at anything even remotely happy/sad nowadays. The RSPCA adverts on Sky (the one with the dead kitten?), I can't watch ER, Holby or anything that involves the possibility of babies being ill, taken away from mother etc etc. When will this end?!

piglit · 26/05/2004 13:56

The RSPCA adverts - nightmare! I bawl my eyes out at those and sit there sniffling "that poor liddle cat/dog/etc. How can anyone be so cruel. What kind of a world are we bringing our baby into? Sniff..."

BIBIBOO · 26/05/2004 14:02

The NSPCC adverts don't even get into the 1st sentence anymore, I can't bear them. No wonder our men are all so confused (well, mine is), poor loves probably don't know what to make of us.

This is NOT the time to watch ET either - I made that mistake - it kills me when I'm in a normal hormonal range, but last week I thought as it's my fave film ever it'd be nice to watch it again - wrong. I sobbed from the moment the flower died until the end, and for about 45 mins afterwards every time I thought about poor ET and poor Elliot...I'm going to shut up now or my office will be rallying round with tissues again!

beansprout · 26/05/2004 14:02

Advert with a dead kitten?!! Are they sure?!!
What about moose damage in the mean time?!

beansprout · 26/05/2004 14:04

I sympathise B, I think I have already posted with the TRAUMA that was watching "Finding Nemo".

"But he hasn't got a mummy now - that's not right...what will he do?" cue near hysterical sobbing...

miffy2 · 26/05/2004 14:07

morning all,

slight change to my 'details' for the list:

Miffy2 (age 34) - 22nd October dd 5 ds 2

Yes, I am another mid-30's gal, my date was changed after my scan, and so far only one DS (but rumour has it the bump has a willy...)

BIBIBOO · 26/05/2004 14:39

Do you think there's a market for films suitable for a pregnant audience? Maybe happy stories about painfree births and clever, happy, loving children who eat whatever they are told, and loving partners who provide for your every whim..?

Toots · 26/05/2004 15:43

Paranoid Piglit? Don't worry. They're not out to get you. They're out to get me

Turtle35 · 26/05/2004 15:56

I normally cry at the drop of a hat and now it's just damn right ridiculous! Oh my God those dead kittens in plastic bags - I can't take it.

Bean is the tummy streching still low? I have been getting it bad too. Am feeling so tired today, I actually feel dizzy.

Has anyone got the line on their tummy's yet?

Turtle35 · 26/05/2004 16:00

any suitable excuses for going home early? don't feel "tired" is good enough. saying that I don't want to say anything bad cause then it could jinx the baby.

piglit · 26/05/2004 16:04

Turtle - can you hide away somewhere or say you have a meeting at 3 (somewhere away from the office) that will go on for a couple of hours or so and you won't be back?

I think I'm beginning to get that line but it's very faint. Apparently it gets more noticeable in the sunshine and as I am off on holiday for 2 weeks after today (woohoo) I'll let you know if that's true.

beansprout · 26/05/2004 16:14

They are in plastic bags?!!!! My God, what sort of sick minds work at the RSPCA?!?!

No line for me, but yes, lots of low stretching and am feeling very tired too. A bit sick as it goes. And yes ladies, this is us blooming!!

Arrrggghhhh!!!
