I'm 35 weeks and driving myself crazy! I'm so uncomfortable and this heat isn't helping. I'm constantly expanding, my jeans are getting too tight but it seems silly to buy anymore now.

I just want him out, he must be just about big enough by now!

Anyone else feeling the same?

I have a consultant appointment on Wednesday so if things are much the same I am going to say how exhausted I am. Ivebeen told not to move or touch my bump as these could set off the bh again but even the baby moving is starting them off and I'm not doing anything when they start in the middle of the night.
Confused
I've only moved to eat or go to the loo today. I think I have lost my plug too. Note never google images of mucus plug....Blush

With DS I was induced. With dd, my waters broke with a gush then nothing so was again induced. I've never experienced this type of thing before.

One thing is for sure, if we are to have another baby, dh can carry it and go through labour!Grin I'm not wanting to do this again!

RoseberryTopping · 05/06/2014 14:21

Oh Drama and Darkside :( you're both having a rough time of it aren't you. I've got everything crossed that all this build up means a really speedy active labour for you both. I know it's a bit of a cliche but this won't last forever and each pain does bring you closer to meeting your baby, it's just obviously tiring and painful at the moment :(

I've had to do something to cheer myself up so I've made a cake! Will virtually share it between us all when it's ready, I reckon we deserve it by now Cake

Drama and Darkside, hope things get going properly today for you both! I am Shock and Angry at the MW who said the cx were BH - how does she know, if she didn't examine you? Bitch.

RoseberryTopping · 05/06/2014 14:49

Some of them make me wonder why they chose to go in to that profession in the first place, it's hardly the sort of job where you know you're not expected to be dealing with people every day, most of the time in pain and hormonal.

I'm also v shocked that me would say that to you, v unprofessional & uncaring. You should be made to feel looked after, certainly not stupid-they are meant to be the experts, not you! Can u get DH to complain for you?! Weds is long way away to go on feeling like this. So sorry you're going through thisHmm

Roseberry I think we all need some of your cake todaySmile

Iwillorderthefood · 05/06/2014 16:58

So the party, I don't understand, the person who I was told is leaving and having a party is not leaving, and not having a party. So I am just going to carry on. I felt really silly asking her, but luckily she was most understanding. I think that there is a party going on, but just not from the same class as DD, so I think this will be ok.

This all seems very trivial in relation to Drama and Darkside, I am not even sure I can blame it on being pregnant.

Still at least the party issue gave me something other than when will I go into labour to think about for a bit Grin

Ilikecakes · 05/06/2014 23:23

Just a quickie all, sorry not had time to read recent messages! Our third boy Lucas was born at 9.20 this morn, weighing 9lbs....perfect in every way and feeding beautifully as I type! Labour was tough enough but back home 6 hours later so all went well!

Hope things are looking up for you by now dark and drama Thanks

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 06/06/2014 07:10

Oooh, congratulations Ilike! Well done you!

RoseberryTopping · 06/06/2014 07:34

Yay, well done!! Lovely name as well :)

I wonder how drama and Darkside are getting on...?

Haha IWill bet you felt a right numpty asking after that! I'm glad it's sorted and that your DD can still have her party :)

Congratulations Ilike! I'm hoping to be out after 6hours too. Well done you!

No news here. I think I had a show yesterday. At least, I hope that was what it was. Blush

Still all these irregular contractions.
I woke with a start at 1am with a different more intense pain at the bottom of my bump but then...nothing.

I think everything is going in the right direction. Just don't know when! Today, dh has some stupid tam bonding shit with his work. He will be outwith mobile reception for 8 hours but I have the number of the centre it is based at.

seasaltbaby · 06/06/2014 08:13

Congratulations!! Lovely news to wake up to Smile glad all went well & home already, brilliant.

Come on drama & darkside, today could be your day!

evertonmint · 06/06/2014 08:15

Congratulations Ilike!!! Good name, good size (both my previous 2 were 9lbs on the nose!)

Drama - how was your night? A bit like you I have had about 48 hours of almost continuous BH cx. They aren't painful for me though, just uncomfortable, so I'm coping reasonably well but it is draining. I feel like I have a boulder permanently strapped to me, and I worry that this pretty much permanent tightening can't be particularly good for the baby!

No nursery today so desperately wondering how to entertain a 3yo as I'm not up to her favourite play group thing today (no seats, you're supposed to roam and play with them!)

RoseberryTopping · 06/06/2014 08:29

Take one of them fold up travel seats everton, that'll show em! Grin

Iwillorderthefood · 06/06/2014 09:16

Congratulations Ilike! That is great news.

Drama, hang on in there, I really hope things happen for you soon.

Yes Raspberry I do feel like a numpty, but thank god I do not have to re-arrange the party phew!!!!

I think that I am accidentally using my stomach muscles, since even when I get up from lying down in the way you are supposed to, somehow my muscles are still tensing up. So I am getting really sore.

My parents are coming today, and will be staying for the duration. It is a hard call but they have to travel 5 hours to get here, so they need to be here before things happen. The thing is I potentially have another two and a half weeks, if I go over my due date which is next Wednesday. This makes me 39+2 today. DD1 came one day early, DD2 4 days late, and I am not sure if the hospital will let me go late this time since I had a retained placenta last time.

Everton, what about a picnic somewhere, the weather is pretty lovely, how hard is it to take DD swimming? You will at least have the benefit of feeling lovely and light this way. I suppose it depends if DD is happy to go in the water or not. I like the idea of taking your own deck chair to the playgroup. What do the organisers think you are going to do when you have a newborn with you? Running around after DD sounds very hard.

TheOriginalWinkly · 06/06/2014 09:22

Congratulations ilike! Lovely name too :)

dramajustfollowsme · 06/06/2014 09:32

Will today be d-(delivery) day?!?

Iwillorderthefood · 06/06/2014 09:47

This waiting is reminding me of how rubbish waiting in for a delivery can be, only instead of the courier company promising a particular day, or perhaps half a day, we get a vague two to four week window.

At least we can't miss it, and have to rearrange!

dramajustfollowsme · 06/06/2014 10:13

Just looking at my notes from going in on Wednesday night...
"Drama says tightenings are painful. On palpation, mild tightenings felt only. B H imo!!"
I think that is really quite rude. Angry Maybe I am a wimp but she should have been professional enough not to comment. It is the exclamation marks that have really pissed me off.

seasaltbaby · 06/06/2014 10:18

Iwill, I also had retained placenta last time & hospital or midwives have not said anything about not going over due date because of that-it may happen again but equally may not. Yes hard call re parents but we've had mine here since Monday & I'm now 39+3 so they could be here for ages! Tbh I'm v grateful for the extra pair of hands, dd currently out with my mum whilst I'm chillingSmile

TheOriginalWinkly · 06/06/2014 10:24

How rude drama. The exclamation marks are unnecessary, they make the remarks seem very patronising. Try not to get annoyed though, apparently love hormones are our friends Hmm

Yy to it being like waiting for a crap courier iwill, a cross between that and the 2ww when ttcing, except you know eventually all the symptoms definitely will mean something :)

BH and the SPD that's kicked in since baby dropped are the bane of my life atm. I could theoretically be pregnant for over a month yet, sob sob waaaah. I feel constantly sick, sore and tight.

TheOriginalWinkly · 06/06/2014 10:33

I'm also badly regretting not starting my maternity leave today, I have one more set of shifts to battle through, finishing on Wednesday. How I would love to be at home having a snooze right now!

Darksideofthemoon88 · 06/06/2014 10:54

Congratulations Ilike Flowers! Fantastic news. And well done you for being ready to go home so soon.

Still waiting here.... contractions are getting more painful (yay - agonising in the early hours Hmm ), but sadly not yet close enough together Sad. Fingers crossed for today - this has been going on for more than 48 hours now!

seasaltbaby · 06/06/2014 11:27

Rooting for you today drama & darkside!! Keep thinking positive thoughts if u can, keep moving gently etc etc & babies surely will be on their way into the world soon!

seasaltbaby · 06/06/2014 18:33

Gah, my hay fever is kicking in todayHmm multiple sneezing is not what u need this late into pregnancy!

Wonder how darkside & drama are getting on.....

dramajustfollowsme · 06/06/2014 19:17

Here we go again. They feel like they are doing something down below as well as being tight across my lower belly and spreading up. They have been regular at 3.39 for an hour yet but not excruciating. I'm not moving from this house until they are unbearable.
