Sorry to be so frank but do you mean painful poop by motions? If so could it be a tiny bit of blood that's dripped down when you wiped and so looked like it was vaginal? I have had piles since my first pregnancy and somehow it's not been too bad so far this time but sometimes bleeds a worrying amount but I've always been told it's nothing to worry about by doctors but as with most things that's easier said than done.
Having thoughts wander to a night in a hotel with DH in August. But then think 'no can't, something will go wrong". Argghhhhh, it's just one night, any can't I just chill out???!!!!!

aMuminwaiting · 10/06/2014 14:20

You beat me to it longest!

longestlurkerever · 10/06/2014 14:21

Mrs G. Nod and smile. Finish when you like. What's it got to do with your colleague? Dr tried to sign me off at 34 weeks last time and that was only due to swollen ankles. I didn't accept but only because I was being a skinflint.

MrsGiraffe12 · 10/06/2014 14:45

longest the same colleague has make sarky comments about my frequent midwife appointments and hospital stays too. And about the hourly toilet breaks I take.

Think I may need to speak to management really as it's making it hard. I have an older DS to look after and am starting leave when he starts school holidays too as it makes it easier with childcare too, aside from my health reasons too x

pgchimp · 10/06/2014 14:52

hello ladies

well I had a sweep a my 40 week appt today. pretty unpleasant but the midwife seemed pleased to have 'found' my cervix. I didn't know that was a risk! no movement other than that!

seasides I am so pleased the scan went well.

to all the other worriers and knicker checkers, hang on in there. today we are pregnant! Smile

CorporeSarnie · 10/06/2014 16:19

Thanks all, sorry have been completely unclear; the mucous I was concerned about was definitely cervical (in one case wiped from front only, in the other was on liner), but yes had been a bit bunged up, and had had a small amount of post-rectal bleeding following a hard poo (in both senses).

SeaSaltMill · 10/06/2014 16:26

I'm sneaking back in as this morning I got a BFP at 9dpo! NINE!

Scared / happy/numb. Haven't told DH yet as he's away.

Hold my hand please!

amicablemoomin · 10/06/2014 16:29

mrsg bloody ignorant people - defo have a chat to your manager, in no way should you be made to feel bad/uncomfortable etc by a colleague. Everyone gets the same amount of holiday and maternity leave - how you choose to take it is your and your manager's business not theirs. And if you need to go to the bathroom there isn't much you can do about it....the alternative of 'holding it in' is not an option! Feeling very riled on your behalf!!

amicablemoomin · 10/06/2014 16:30

Congrats seasalt !

MrsGiraffe12 · 10/06/2014 16:36

moomin I actually said to him if he would like a 2lb stowaway bouncing on his bladder day and night then feel free to swap and see how often he can last without a bathroom break ;-)

amicablemoomin · 10/06/2014 16:47

exactly!!!! He would probably run screaming if he had to go through even a half of what you've already dealt with.

amicablemoomin · 10/06/2014 16:48

Whilst holding down a job and looking after a child as well.

fedupofrainydays · 10/06/2014 16:49

mrsg sod what that dick says. Prob is the usual type thinking you are swanning off on some sort of 'break' as though having a baby woth the sleepless nights is easy and a holiday!

Really struggling in this heat. The bakerloo line was actually pumping out hot air. Thank god I left work earlier so on a slightly less busy train that has air con! I actually feel quite scared about ways home in case it's too hot and I pass out. Hate London in the heat.

Congrats seasalt!!! Here to hand hold!

corp is it old blood? I read this can be quite normal if you google it. I had it in early preg with my last mc - so wasn't good news for me but that was so early on and you are passed that. The acti

fedupofrainydays · 10/06/2014 16:52

Action of pushing out the poo can also squeeze out any old blood you have sitting around on there. I get more cm after a poo. I really wouldn't worry unless it is a lot, or continues to be more than just when you poo (what happened with my mc)

LondonJen · 10/06/2014 16:55

Bloody hell MrsG you're trooping away through so many things, you should get to leave when you chuffing well feel like it!! I'd like to see your colleague facing these things and keep going.

Oo PG hope there's some action soon!

Corp I am sure I have read people say on this thread that the two are things can be related but sorry I haven't had the, um, pleasure myself. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, esp as it's so tiny.

Yey Seasalt! Congrats Grin and a hand hold of course. Any other symptoms yet? (I know it's early)

The pram just arrived! That company is on fire! I should be a team player and wait till dp gets home to open it.. but I might just have a peak at the carrycot... Actually I can't get the pushchair into the living room by myself so I couldn't open that even if I wanted to!

TeaRex · 10/06/2014 17:23

mrsg that guys is a grade a knob, people like that just have no empathy at all so ignore him as best you can, he probably gets a power trip out of upsetting people.

fedup you can get badges that say 'baby on board' from tube stations I think, a friend that commuted into London had one and said it made her feel more comfortable as people have her more room if they clocked it.

TeaRex · 10/06/2014 17:24

And congrats seasalt nice to see so many new people these past couple of weeks :)

MrsGiraffe12 · 10/06/2014 18:40

Thanks or the support ladies. I told DH and he laughed :-S must be a man thing :-)

I love this board, everyone is so lovely, I don't know how id be sane if it wasn't for you lot x

squizita · 10/06/2014 19:25

Corp I had bloody mucus from the front after some hard poos. It vanished next wipe, and although I rang the mW nothing bad came of it. :)

Welcome seasalt, in the same boat as you at the moment and I'm petrified.

Mrsg he sounds utterly delightful!!!! Pregnancy brings them all out doesn't it Hmm.

If any of you have had a scan at around 6 weeks have you been able to see much? EPU want me to come in for a scan 2 weeks tomorrow when I'll hopefully be 6+1. I'm worried that it will actually make me more paranoid and anxious if not much can be seen. I go on holiday the following week so apparently they don't want to leave me until 8 weeks as I've not had a cycle since ERPC which was exactly 4 weeks today.

squizita · 10/06/2014 20:12

Drama - yep had one at the RMC. They told me not to be alarmed if no HB... But we did see a little HB which was good! So you may well. Even so, after an ERPC you might ovulate late so a healthy 5 week embryo would also be a good outcome. :)

EnglishGirlsReturned · 10/06/2014 20:15

MrsG he sounds like a complete prick!! I'm so glad I work in an all female environment! Although they don't know yet, I know they'd all be lovely!

Welcome Seasalt, congratulations! Smile

So tomorrow is D-day - second scan time! Fx all is well and developing properly. Had some odd dreams the last 2 nights. One all was well, the the baby had 2 faces!! Can everyone keep their fingers crossed for me... Bricking it!

longestlurkerever · 10/06/2014 20:19

Oh the drama- I suppose it depends what they are trying to check. At 6 weeks there won't be a heartbeat. They can tell the pregnancy is there and in the right place but not that it is healthy. I know because when I was scanned at 12 weeks and they saw a 6 week foetus they refused to confirm a mmc until the following week because there was a chance I had just got my dates wrong and was just much less far along (though I knew this wasn't the case). So 6 weeks you will know you are definitely pregnant which might reassure you but at 8 weeks you will hopefully also see a heart beat which is a really good sign of a healthy pregnancy. Can you have both a 6 week and an 8 week scan?

longestlurkerever · 10/06/2014 20:25

Ah, cross post with squiz. If you did see a heart beat that would obviously be great news and would save you waiting another two weeks for the same reassurance. I would say accept the scan and ask/maybe pay for another if you don't get the answers you need from the first one.

Mrs G - what a total wanker. Definitely complain. Good luck English!

OhTheDrama · 10/06/2014 20:26

longest yes I will be scanned every two weeks until 10 or 12 weeks, when if all being well, I well then be transferred to the antenatal clinic.
