Thanks everyone, I'm 7+2 today. I had my scan at 6+2.

Beetle how lovely, I welled up just reading your post. So glad all is going well x

Val and Nobeer yay to being on leave! Lots of lovely nesting time ahead I hope.

Hey Turq, as you know I've no experience of this but it's sounding more positive than it was. Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

As for me I'm really struggling, I felt good for a few days after the scan but I'm really worrying about having a mmc and every day is dragging. My only real symptoms are heartburn and sore ish boobs which is probably just the progesterone. I stupidly poas (a cheap tesco one) and I got a line but I'm now driving myself crazy as it's not as dark as the control.

vallinnapod · 03/11/2014 20:04

Cups I sympathise. It is a horrible time, anxiety-wise. I actually wasted spent loads on private scans between 6 and about 18 12 weeks. Even when I had my MMC I still thought it was money well spent (IYSWIM). Can you book one for 9 weeks? Then you break up the wait to 12 weeks?

I was pretty sick with this PG, and the days I didn't feel so bad I was convinced something had gone wrong. With DS I had no symptoms whatsoever from conception to birth - again a real head fuck!!!

Turquoisetamborine · 03/11/2014 20:15

Cups as you know I've had no sickness at all and I'm now nearly 13 weeks (except for once the other day when H served me mouldy toast, bleurgh). I didn't have any last pregnancy either and that was fine.

I understand you feeling so worried though. There is always something to worry about in pregnancy. You just get over one thing and then something else comes up. Prepares you for parenthood though!

That nifty clinic does reassurance scans for £50 which I thought was really good if it would make you feel better.

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 03/11/2014 21:11

Thanks Val and Turq, it's just good to talk to other people that get it. My DH doesnt share any of my worries. I wish I could be more like him. I've got another scan at the clinic a week today before they discharge me. I'm hoping if everything is ok I'll be able to start relaxing. There is a private scan place near me that does reassurance scans for £45, I've already thought about a 10 week scan there. I've not broached it with DH as he will think it's a waste of money.
I just can't seem to shake the feeling I'm not really pregnant. Even though I was really relieved to see the heartbeat at the scan, Im embarrassed to admit I didn't feel happy. I'm so scarred by this whole journey that I feel if I allow myself to be happy it will all be taken away from me Sad

vallinnapod · 03/11/2014 22:02

Cups it's totally understandable. I ended up in floods of tears before my final clinic scan (8 weeks) and was almost inconsolable before my 12 week scan. I didn't want to go in to either because I couldn't bear for them to tell me I had another MC.

I didn't tell DH about half the scans I had with DS. He was underwhelmed I was going to have so many with my MC PG. Ironically with this one he was completely supportive of all the extra ones, even encouraging me to go when I was mentalling. I don't know if the MC just made him 'get' my worst fears. Men have the absolute luxury of being so much more detached from the whole process than we are. I felt (and still do) a huge amount of responsibility to grow this little person safely.

See, still mental Grin

nobeer · 03/11/2014 22:11

If it's any consolation cups I still can't believe I'm pregnant either! I do a double take every time I see my reflection in a mirror or shop window.

keepitgoing · 04/11/2014 07:22

cups lovely we all understand. I think get a 10 week scan. I had loads too - 5,7,9,12... I also had no symptoms except tiredness, which may have been psychological. as for poas, I stopped myself by thinking it was pointless. even if I had had a mmc it would still show positive. lovely, it's terrifying but with a good scan and no bleeding things are looking really good. you can only take one day at a time, don't look too far ahead. I know what you mean about feeling happy. I felt relief more, at each stage. xx

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 04/11/2014 18:18

Thanks Keep, Val and Nobeer,

I'm feeling better today, I still don't feel pregnant but I know there's nothing I can do except wait it out until the scan.

I think I will get extra scans regardless of what DH thinks. Tbh I've been so upset the last few days I don't think he would actually say no.

Hopefully I'm just one of the lucky ones that doesn't have any symptoms.

Nobeer I hope I believe it if I get as far as you Grin

vallinnapod · 06/11/2014 16:43

All about the drama here Hmm

DH has been away. I woke up last night about 0:30 feeling really rough (still do) flu like. Had the flu jab a month ago. Was awake most of the night but concerned the baby really wasn't moving that much. Called the MW at 6am who suggested I went in - had to wait until I could drop DS off at nursery.

Discovered protein in my urine but BP all normal so they are worried about infection (will know in a day or so). Had a CTG which was fine but my bump measures 4 weeks behind (28 weeks as opposed to 32). They were great. Had to wait a couple of hours but got a growth scan which showed her to be perfect, 50th percentile or above for all measurements...bar her legs which are at the 97th. Also checked my fluid levels etc, all fine.

Trying to sleep the cold off but She's still not moving much. Been told Togo back later if it continues Hmm

Just one of those a things (I hope...) but no good on my stress levels!

nobeer · 06/11/2014 19:01

Sounds stressful val. Glad scan was ok. Get well soon and I've got everything crossed for you. Xx

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 10/11/2014 17:16

Val god that sounds so stressful. Are you feeling any better? So glad to hear everything was ok on the scan Smile

Well I've kept myself as busy as possible and scan day finally arrived. Everything is fine, baby is measuring 8+4 and I should be 8+2 today. Saw the heartbeat, they don't measure the rate at my clinic but it looked pretty fast so I'm sure it's fine. Feeling much more positive today.

My DH has agreed to any extra scans I want. It's just as well as some idiot drove into my car and didn't stop. I've now got a very hefty repair bill so can't really afford to pay for any scans myself. He doesn't really understand how extra scans will make me feel better as he thinks it's just another appointment to stress over, I can sort of see his point.

How is everyone else getting on? Who's due first? Its going to be an exciting few months on here!

vallinnapod · 10/11/2014 17:59

Fabulous news Cups! Well, about the scan...less so about the car. What a twat!

All ok-ish here. Totally mental again :( I have a private Wellbeing scan booked tomorrow (I had always had the schedules for after 32 weeks) hoping it will give me peace of mind...!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/11/2014 20:53

So, so pleased the scan went well Cups! I also had a ten week scan to break up the time between 8 and 12. I also had one at 17 weeks. And 20. And 29..... Blush

Beetle, reading your post made me well up. So pleased you're doing so well x

Hope the scan helps put your mind at rest Val

I've loved seeing how your all getting on, I'm such a rubbish egg buddy. But t make me so happy to see you all here Smile

And Keep, how on earth is S a year old already Shock

keepitgoing · 11/11/2014 07:29

Grin Grin cups brilliant news! how are you feeling symptoms-wise? have you got your 12 week scan date yet?

nobeer · 11/11/2014 10:49

Hurrah cups! Really pleased your little bean is doing just fine. I think I might be the next one due, mid Dec. I'm on leave now and trying not to panic at every twinge or ache, at least work kept my mind busy! But on the positive side the size of feet seems to have gone back to normal. Then I think val is due shortly after. val, good luck with scan today.

Nice to see maybe and keep here too.

vallinnapod · 11/11/2014 16:13

All went well today. Growth fine (in fact estimating to be 7lb15-8lb2 - DS was 7lb7!), fluid levels fine and blood flow all good.

Will try to relax now...honest! Plus all done with work now so it's all about me (and DS and DH and new baby!).

Nobeer - it's so soon eeeekk!! I am due 1 Jan.

moggle · 12/11/2014 19:47

Lots of good news here! I have another bit, our daughter Eliza was born this morning, at 39+2, weighing 7lbs. Had a pretty quick labour so a good experience, needed ventouse at the end as she decided to turn back to back at some point... Think everyone was expecting a boy (I carried all out in front) so was a lovely surprise. Can't wait to get home with her, been awake since 9am yesterday and doubt I'll get much sleep on the ward tonight.

magneticfield55 · 12/11/2014 20:30

(what does menkulling mean?)

vallinnapod · 12/11/2014 20:34

Moggle!!! Congratulations!!

nobeer · 12/11/2014 22:25

Flowers congratulations mog! What a lovely name.xx

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 15/11/2014 09:16

Fantastic news Moggle!!! Well done you. I love your little girls name. Hope you are home now enjoying her x

Val sounds like everything is going well, you can really start enjoying the run up to Christmas now

Nobeer it's so exciting, I can't believe how soon your baby is due! Are you busy nesting?

Thanks again everyone, tbh I'm not having many symptoms. I barely feel pregnant so I don't think that is helping with the mentalling. I was struggling to eat/felt nauseous and had massive boobs up to about 7ish weeks. Then it all disappeared and I feel completely normal. I guess I'm just one of the lucky ones seeing as I know baby was ok a few days ago.

The only symptoms I seem to have are tiredness plus I sometimes still get cramps and weird feelings in my abdomen if I sneeze or move suddenly.

Maybe and Keep how are you doing? Are you getting broody for number 2 yet? I can't believe S is one and A is looking so grown up! Time flies by x

Twinklestar2 · 16/11/2014 10:43

Beautiful name moggle! Congratulations Grin

vallinnapod · 23/11/2014 18:15

waves hi guys.

How is everyone doing? Any new babies yet Wink

nobeer · 23/11/2014 21:44

Evening val! No news here. Got 3 weeks to go - eek! Feel quite big and looking forward to meeting my baby. How are you doing?

Any news from anyone else?

vallinnapod · 24/11/2014 09:13

34.5 here....if she is like her brother I have just under 4 weeks...or if she is going to go to induction then I have nearly 2 months Shock

I went from measuring 28 weeks at 32 to 32.5 at 34 so having a spurt! Quite sore and uncomfy as she has been in the same position for a while so pounding the same spots - mainly with her bum and elbow from what I can tell!
