Beetle, ah honey that's crap. You are definitely in the right place though and 30 weeks is not too bad. I know how upsetting it must be though. Hopefully with bed rest you'll be able to hold on for a while longer. Is this your first baby? I can't remember if you have any at home to look after. Fingers and toes crossed for you xx

chocolocodowninacapulco · 15/09/2014 07:51

beetle just wanted to pop on and say that I'm thinking of you. Hope the little one will be able to be kept in a bit longer and all will be well. So crap that you have had all this stress and such a difficult journey. Hand hold from me xx

Ferreroroche123 · 15/09/2014 21:33

Sending best wishes and growing vibes Beetle.

30 weeks is so viable. My husband was born at 28 weeks over 38 years ago when the outlook was so bleak and he is here totally unharmed.

I was at risk of having a premature baby and was told that by 28 weeks the docs really do consider your baby to have a great chance. I felt so much better at 28 weeks and from then on every extra day was a bonus.

My first boy also nearly came at 32 weeks due to a UTI, and when I asked the neonatal what his chances were they almost laughed at me and said it was virtually 100%, so you really are doing well.

I hope your bubs stays in as long as poss, and you keep well in the meantime.

Dildals · 16/09/2014 22:07

Oh I have been lurking a bit on this thread because I used to be on a thread like this and now have a healthy 13m old to show for it. I have to unlurk now I just read about beetle's waters breaking.

My waters broke at 28+6 and my lovely girl was born at 29 weeks. You have a tough couple of weeks ahead of you but your mini beetle WILL be fine! You will spend some time on the neonatal ward which is a shock to the system, it is not how you imagined it all to be, but you'll get out of there and you will be so happy to have mini B home and enjoy bubs even more!

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk about it!

Dildals · 16/09/2014 22:09

Oh and if you feel like you are extremely constipated, need to do a big poo, but you can't, it is time to get the midwife in! You do not need a poo, you're having a baby! ;-)

ceara · 17/09/2014 12:36

Delurking too, to say that I'm thinking of you beetle. I also remember you, and your boys, from the previous IVF worriers thread. This isn't last time, 30 nearly 31 weeks is so different. But so unfair you and mini beetle have to go through this before you eventually get to bring your baby home. Thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed for you all.

vallinnapod · 19/09/2014 20:50

Just to say thinking of you Beetle x

BeetleandBug · 19/09/2014 21:40

Thank you for all the well wishes. Baby is still holding tight and although there is very little fluid he still has enough to get hiccups a few times a day. I don't think he is able to change position though and has been curled up with head very low down and legs in my side.
I had the stitch removed yesterday as although infection markers remain normal, it creates a higher risk....very ouch! Not something I will be putting myself through again. I was allowed gas and air but it wasn't as good as I was hoping!
The plan is to wait and see now. I am at the least in hospital until Sunday and then might be sent home (serious bed shortage) with a thermometer and twice weekly blood tests. I'm a bit scared to leave hospital but we might not even get that far anyway. I won't be allowed to go past 34 weeks.
31+2 today. Hold tight baby and bugger off germs.

I hope everyone is doing well and I'm sorry for venting and not catching up properly. Xx

nobeer · 19/09/2014 22:06

Phew! I've been waiting for news with baited breath. Glad you're OK and I'm keeping everything crossed that Bug stays put for a bit longer. Big hugs

vallinnapod · 19/09/2014 22:18

Sounding good so far! Have you had the dreaded steroid injections?

If you need anything locally, or just some support please, please PM me Smile

BeetleandBug · 19/09/2014 22:59

I had the dreaded roids last Friday.... They are worse than any ivf jab I've ever had. Proper stingy big fuckers!

Thank you for all the support xxx

Twinklestar2 · 20/09/2014 14:07

ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks to you Beetle

vallinnapod · 28/09/2014 16:28

Ended up in the FAU today. Had had reduced movement and then felt very fevery and shaky. Of course this all tied in with DH being away....DS had to come with me but I was the only one there and seen very quickly. In and out in 1 hour 20, of which almost all the time was spent waiting to see the Dr. They didn't find anything untoward. HB was fine (too early for a trace), everything felt and looked fine - cervix closed etc. Swab taken which I need to call up about on Weds. Just very scary, and all the more exhausting trying to pretend it was just some fun for DS.

How are you doing Beetle...was going to try and find you Wink

nobeer · 28/09/2014 19:08

Oh no val. That sounds stressful, bit glad they found the heartbeat. Sending you a hug. Xx

vallinnapod · 02/10/2014 15:56

My baby has turned into a gymnast since Sunday - which I am not complaining about!

Hope everyone is doing OK. I am a week shy of my final trimester Shock

moggle · 02/10/2014 16:50

Hey all, hope we're all doing well. vall that sounds scary at the weekend but glad everything is well and the baby is making it up to you with copious wiggling!

Beetle, any news?
I saw on another thread that buggerlugs had her baby. Congratulations if you see this!

33 weeks here, can't believe it. We've moved house successfully and unpacked and everything. It went remarkably smoothly! Just got the nursery to sort out, unfortunately have to get a plasterer in to do some work, was hoping we could do it ourselves. Oh well at least it will give me plenty to supervise on maternity leave (2 weeks today will be my last day!!). Have started accumulating stuff for the baby at last and ordered the buggy today. Have done all our hospital antenatal classes which were great, and NCT starts on Tuesday. Eek!! Next midwife appointment is also on Tuesday and I will find out then if I am eligible for the midwife led unit at the hospital. It looks amazing and all the midwives I have met so far have been great, so I am very much hoping I will be.

Baby is still a major fidget and the kicks and butts are getting strong enough to make me "ow" out loud, DH finds it very entertaining in a "that's my baby..." way. A good night's sleep is getting more and more elusive!

nobeer · 05/10/2014 13:58

Hi moggle! All fine here, I'm getting bigger and finding it trickier to move around, and quite uncomfy at night. All normal I guess! I'm 30 week tomorrow and I'm finally starting to believe that yes, I am having a baby! We got a cheapy travel system from a local hypermarket, it's a good brand but an older model. Friends have offered us a cot and loads of other stuff, so finally feel like we're getting there.

Fab news about buggerlugs. Flowers if you're lurking. Got my fingers crossed for beetle too, hope everything's OK.

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

vallinnapod · 09/10/2014 22:05

Hi all. Officially in my final trimester...eek! Can't quite believe it.

Had the MW over today as if all continues normally I am hoping for a home birth. Booked in for flu and whooping cough jabs.

Being kicked so hard today it's taking my breath away which is great Grin

Being spoilt this weekend as off to a spa (a birthday pressie from DH)

Beetle I hope you are ok?

Big hugs to everyone else!

nobeer · 10/10/2014 07:20

Yay val! It's all coming together nicely for you. So pleased for you.

PuppyProblems · 13/10/2014 12:07

Baby boy born on Thursday 9/10 at 34+1, weighing 5lb3oz. We have been together on post natal since delivery but they are having to keep a close eye on his jaundice levels and temperature control (he keeps getting chilly so my hospital room is like a sauna).
If all continues as it is we will be home in a day or two which I am scared stiff of, but so relieved they think him well enough.
Labour was induced and the speed of it took all by surprise. Pessary to baby in five hours by vaginal delivery...I won't go into details!

We had bought nothing as we were too scared and so my DH and mum are running around like crazy.

I hope that everyone is well and will touch base again once I stop freaking out over EVERYTHING and finally get some sleep.

nobeer · 13/10/2014 12:54

Flowers congratulations puppy!!! I'm assuming you're beetle but name changed? Delighted for you even if you're not beetle Grin. That's not a bad weight considering he's early. Bet your mum is glad to be helping out, and hope you get to go home soon.
Sending you all big hugs xxx

PuppyProblems · 13/10/2014 13:16

It's beetle.... name changed for puppy care tips... our six month mini schnauzer now has a not so furry friend :-)

NoCupcakesOrCocktails · 13/10/2014 13:33

Hello everyone, there are a lot of familiar faces on here! Hopefully some of you will remember me from the egg buddies thread. I'm 4+2 after my 3rd ivf cycle. Im feeling extremely anxious and I'm already wishing the next 2 weeks away to my first scan. Today was my OTD but have been testing positive from 7dp5dt. I'm really struggling to sleep and have lots of twinges and cramps. I was actually feeling a little bit sick over the past few days which seemed crazy early. Now feeling much better all of a sudden and panicking.

Beetle so lovely to hear about your little boy! I've only had a quick scan over the thread. God you have been through an awful lot. So very happy for you x

Val and Nobeer can't believe how far along you guys are ??

Hello Turq!

nobeer · 13/10/2014 14:16

Welcome cups!! Congratulates to you too. I can't believe it either Smile I'm 31 weeks now! And she seems to be developing fine. You might find your sickness comes back. It's not very nice but very reassuring. Let us know how you're getting on.

beetle aha! I knew it was you Grin I'm so so happy for you. Take care of yourself and your boy.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/10/2014 18:24
