Oh, they do cvs on the nhs if risk factor is high? Didn't know that.

Need a bit if hand holding. After a dry spell over the weekend that mucousy brown stuff is back and I've got The Fear badly. Really hoping not goes away as it keeps freaking me out.

CatsCantFlyFast · 30/06/2014 21:49

The brown cm sticks around for quite a while for some people feather. Brown is old. That's all you need to keep telling yourself

FeatherFeather11 · 30/06/2014 22:09

Thank merk. Just worried it's going to turn into a proper bleed period-style. "Brown is old. Brown is old. Brown is old."

RevoltingPeasant · 30/06/2014 22:21

Feather go to bed early, put your feet up and relax. It will make no difference physically but you will feel you are doing all you can.

And it does happen to loads of women and they are fine.

RevoltingPeasant · 30/06/2014 22:22

But Flowers because I know exactly what the fear is like, and it's horrid.

greatbigbushybeard · 30/06/2014 22:59

Arr feather know what you mean! had some brown myself today after getting a tiny bit energetic in pe lesson today! I've been fine but today had a real wobble and quite tearful. I think the whole thing is difficult because of all the false starts and worry I'm reluctant to believe it's true because when I 'let' myself believe it I got that horrible big bleed where I thought that was it. So I've been a bit it's not really happening and then dh will say something sweet like 'it's all coming together' and I just think oh no what if it goes wrong and I was thinking what if I've left it too late for booking in ( phoned but ridiculous short time intervals for anyone that works like between 2-3 on two days of week-incredibly helpful!) and any tests that need doing- I've scared myself with googling the harmony tests lots of you have been talking about. Also big observation pressure at work, which weirdly I'm not too worried about but think it all got to me earlier, along with razor blade throat and tongue. I've gone to put on the salt water thanks!!

Good about your trip rp. Anyway my lovely ladies, thanks for listening, feel really spaced out so going to call it a night.

BlindKitty · 01/07/2014 02:36

feather I had the brown stuff for about 10 days...total head fuck! Oh and you've not scared us off. it's your copter now though, you've waited long enough Smile

Thanks all. Just needed a reminder that it's normal. Who knew that being pregnant was almost as much as a head fu*k as ttc! x

RevoltingPeasant · 01/07/2014 13:55

Eurgh having a wobble. Coloured discharge, cramping and backache. Afraid I may have an infection or this is the start of something bad.

MotherOfCleo · 01/07/2014 16:10

rp dont panic, all of that can be normal, maybe take some paracetamol and have a nice warm relaxing bath later, see if that helps your cramps and your back? We are all here for you Smile Thanks

jessplussomeonenew · 01/07/2014 16:23

Yes, sadly early pregnancy does your head in almost as badly as ttc, though the highs are definitely higher and more frequent! In my experience it does start to get easier to believe it's real as the days and weeks go by, as you get to that point of "more pregnant than I've ever been before", and meantime the foetus gets more bedded in and secure each day. It's even more reassuring when you've had the 12 and 20 week scans and all is well. And when you are feeling like a punchbag from all the kicking and wriggling, it leaves little room for doubt (or indeed internal organs) that there's a small but determined person in there who is getting bigger and stronger every day!

I have to say the kicking is starting to feel quite uncomfortable now - the baby is right up inside my ribs making it hard to take deep breaths and bringing back the nausea which I really haven't missed! It's amazing how quickly it has gone from those anxious early days to being so close to meeting my little one - hope the days go as quickly for you!

winohhh · 01/07/2014 16:36

Coloured discharge here too. This is how it started last time. :(

FeatherFeather11 · 01/07/2014 16:38

rp I hear you. Hold tight. Cleo's is right - do some relaxing and see what happens. Read a thing about early pregnancy this morning and the mantra is "today, I am pregnant" xx

RevoltingPeasant · 01/07/2014 17:58

win handhold.

The nurse said those symptoms can be normal or can be an infection. I had a vaginal swab and they'll let me know. Win should you do the same?

Yes, today I am pg is a good mantra - I say it to myself all the time - but I want to be pg tomorrow too Confused

It has died down a bit so I have to believe it is okay. win you must be coming up to 12 w scan soon? I will feel better I hope when that's done. I made DH book the day off work in advance to come with.

More positively, I had to leave an important meeting today to puke violently and then when I got home from the nurse. I am taking the vom as a sign!

jess how far along are you now?

greatbigbushybeard · 01/07/2014 18:35

Ladies, how easy are your midwives to see, mine seems rarer than rocking horse shit. Only at surgery 2 days a week and just for 2, totally un-work friendly hours. I've booked in with her as thought that was what I should do, it's not til Monday as we have a big work thing Thursday that I can't get out of. They did say I could go to a drop in place but didn't fancy they, want to do this properly if you know what I mean.

Sorry about all the discharge ladies but I'm still doing it too. I do feel more crampy and stretchy inside which should be bushy bean stretching out. rp is your nurse quite easy to make appointments with?

jess thanks for your post! totally makes sense with the' I'm more pg than what I've ever been before'. Also lovely (although not lovely for you!) to hear about mini jess squishing you!!

Bunnygirlie · 01/07/2014 19:10

Handholds all round here! The first 12 weeks are very scary, one day at a time!
I'd love to tell you it gets easier and for some it does but the worry is always there. Hugs x

Bunnygirlie · 01/07/2014 19:12

feather Just read above, I'm not going anywhere! Just had a busy few days Smile

RevoltingPeasant · 01/07/2014 19:37

Bushy my surgery is ace. I am so grateful for them. I sneaked out to my car mid day with my phone, and they booked me an appt for 2.30 with practice nurse.

The other week when I had the threatened MC I rang at 3pm and they found me a drs appt at five-thirty.

Mind you I have not tried to see MW yet other than booking in. But mine does 2 mornings per week at surgery but otherwise does a drop in clinic at the local children's centre, ie that is where she is normally based. Any chance yours is the same and it is a "proper" place to go?

jess and bunny thanks for your posts, and cleo . It is reassuring been though I know it is pot luck, and we have to wait and see.

greatbigbushybeard · 01/07/2014 21:00

Hi rp yes it probably is the same. I'm seeing the midwife for the booking in.

Still really sore throat, been doing the salty water-bleurgh and hot water, honey and lemon. Got observations tomorrow so hope the throats not too sore tomorrow!

FeatherFeather11 · 01/07/2014 21:20

Hand holding all round. Geez, we are a bleedy lot, aren't we?! Hope all is calming down and ok win and rp. I've still go a bit of brown happening, and my lower belly feels a bit periody but I'm trying to ignore it. WE CAN DO THIS!

bushy got my midwife appointment tomorrow at 9am. Not sure how difficult it is to see them as this is my first and they just sent me a letter with my appointment details. Bit nervy about it for some reason!

Thanks for all the reassurance advanced berries. Feel so lucky to have you all as I really don't know who I'd get hysterical at otherwise. Your support is much appreciated. Flowers

FeatherFeather11 · 01/07/2014 21:21

Oh, bushy - don't use lemon on your throat - strips away the natural err, lube and can make it worse. Before you ask: my parents are massive hippies, which is why I know all this crap. Hmm

greatbigbushybeard · 01/07/2014 21:54

feather know what you mean re feeling nervy. I think it's because I feel a bit of an imposter, 'midwife' sounds very- this shit just got real!! Yup we are a bleedy lot! Thanks for the heads up on the lemon. Any hippie suggestions for bad thrust? Shall I just use honey in hot water?

greatbigbushybeard · 01/07/2014 21:55

Er meant bad throat not thrust!!

FeatherFeather11 · 01/07/2014 22:05

Yep, bushy, honey in hot water or herbal tea with honey in it is good too. If you have apple cider vinegar (the raw, unfiltered stuff with 'the mother' in it - oh god, I'm properly showing woo roots now) then gargling with warm water and a couple of tablespoons of that can help too. That vinegar is amazing by the way - I use it for loads if stuff: especially good for getting rid of thrush, which I recently found out when I had a terrible bout. Re midwife - know what you mean. "This shit just got real!" Is the perfect way to describe it!

greatbigbushybeard · 01/07/2014 22:15

My dh used that expression when all our Ivf drugs arrived!!

Wow, raw unfiltered with the mother in it??Confused where can I get this woo stuff that you speak of? Will go knock some honey up now. Really tired.
