For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Uff merk you've got me worried now...I haven't really thought about breastfeeding chairs. Basically I've got a crappy sofabed in Mr Boom's study which is what I assume I'll be using. Uh oh!

Right, back to washing baby stuff. Makes me feel ever so domesticated!

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 15:35

Wow hadn't realised how many April berry babies were imminent!

tally hadn't dawned on me that the c section was tomorrow!!! How exciting!!!

boom are you supposed to wash everything then?

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 15:42

Kitty no, I'm washing the stuff that was in the garage (moses basket covers, cot sheets, some hand-me-down baby clothes) that the plumber covered in tile dust when he cut up the tiles in there! All the baby clothes/blankets that I bought from new are staying unwashed, I'm not faffing about opening them and making them non-returnable. Some people do wash everything but I'm not going to!

PuppyMummy · 06/04/2014 16:19

thanks merk we have a good back to arm ratio so ill try sofa first!

boom, kitty I have washed a few bits that r goin in the hospital bag and a load of vests but like boom says I'm leaving the rest until he is home and I know how big he is then ill start taking tags off and washing (or not bother! undecided yet!)

I may do the sheets for crib nearer the time.

started my hospital bag today Shock
have far to much to fit in the actual bag!

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 17:24

puppy if you sign up to boots parenting club you get a voucher for a free changing bag, thats the one I have. Grin

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 17:32

Arrrgh I'm having a meltdown, bought a secondhand cot and I CANNOT put the bugger together, nor can I find instructions for it online. AAAAGH.

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 17:44

puppy useful thread I've been packing too. Wish I knew how much to take of everything! Bought myself some new (black) pjs!!!

boom what on earth are you doing stressing over the cot. Leave it to mr boom and go and put your feet up!

Is anyone else stressing over stupid stuff? Like this morning I was stressing over only having sudocreme in my upstairs changing drawer, hospital bag and changing bag and none in my downstairs changing drawer #1st world mum problems Hmm

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 17:53

Pahaha Kitty, adorable though Mr Boom is I'm afraid DIY is not his forte. I'm the one who does that around here. I'm getting truly irritated, it MUST be simpler than I'm making it but the bottom keeps falling out and I just can't figure out how the sliding mechanism works, I have a 3-sided cot with no bottom at the moment. FFS!!

If it makes you feel better I have no sudocrem anywhere!

Bunnygirlie · 06/04/2014 18:16

tally it would be fun if I hadn't woken up at 7 this morning, started gagging and given myself an all day headache! Sad

Will be thinking of you tomorrow! What time you in?

Told my auntie (and granny today), it is her birthday so inside the card I wrote - we already think you're a great auntie but in October you will be a Great Auntie! Grin

So when did you all start buying stuff? I feel like its ages away yet but I guess 26 weeks isn't that long Shock Of course I'm hoping that now people know I will be given/ lent some stuff. My SIL says they've been keeping stuff for us just in case awwwww and they had one pink, one blue!

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 18:21

Tomorrow is coming really fast!!!

we washed everything. not quite sure why, but it made me feel more in control, and dh put it all in the drawers because he likes organisation.
Feeding wise I really hope the rocking chair works!

With the vinyl wall tree, I would say give yourselves a good few hours. cut away the backing as you go and be aware that it can stretch so check everything before you stick it down properly.

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 18:40

I'm in there at half 11, and expecting to go in for section at about 2.

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 18:52

boom without trying to sound like even more of a pathetic woman..can you call your dad?

bunny I love the card idea! Very thoughtful! I started buying stuff at 18 weeks but I kinda wish I'd waited now. You can get soooo much decent stuff at nct nearly new sales. I'd go to one and see what you can get there first if you're happy to have second hand gear. Also people will give you loads of stuff as well!

tally actually it peeled strait off and went up really easily! Only took about 30mins! What time is the big op?

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 18:52

I really need to type my posts faster haha!!!

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 19:00

Grrrraaaargh! I'm the MAN, I did it all by myself!! One cot - ready for bambinos Grin Grin Grin

Oooooooh Tally it's countdown to baby then! Poor you though - nil by mouth until mid afternoon, bit harsh!

Bunny you have such lovely ways of telling people! We just phoned them up haha, obviously very boring Blush

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 19:28

Yay boom, well done!!!!

I've managed to persuade them I can have a proper breakfast otherwise my Hyperemesis will probably kick in.

Kitty I'm jealous about the tree, your room is lovely!

Foodylicious · 06/04/2014 20:34

Sounds like a busy day has been had my many!

I have spent the day painting the walls, managed 2 coats so am very pleased with myself is a little bit ridiculously achey, so will be off to bed very soon. Managed to bake a cake for work tomorrow too, just need to take it out the tin and hope it's turned out ok.

Well done on being 'the man' boom, thats me too in oue house. OH would like to do a bit more, but I am very particular and it's better for both of us if I just do it myself. he did paint the ceiling on friday, though only did the rollering, not cutting in the edges first Hmm.

Really excited for you tally!!!Grin Grin

Foodylicious · 06/04/2014 20:55

Ooh, I have been trying to ignore occasional pain in my pubic bone for quite a few weeks now, its Definately getting worse and more frequent, is this possibly the SPD a few of you have had( though obviously I am getting off lightly if it is). Feels like the bone is stretching/twisting almost???

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 21:09

Oooh Tally so is it an early night and trying to get your last good sleep or do you think you'll be lying awake all night? Good effort negotiating breakfast!

Foody sounds like SPD might be likely, Tally is the expert though, poor thing! Well done on the painting/baking efforts today!

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 21:11

Yep that'll be it Foody, for some people its mild, for others it gradually gets worse :(

OP posts:
Tallyra · 06/04/2014 21:19

it does sound a bit like it foody. mine just feels like I've been kicked hard in the crotch and bruised. be careful if that sounds about right. I kept it at bay by doing what the physio told me. walk up stairs one step at a time (bloody slow but worth it) and getting in and out of the car, keep your legs together and slide around instead of stepping in. they are the main things I did and it hasn't gone but it hasn't got worse. Also, clench lots!!

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 21:21

I was going to bed now but dh just started watching another episode of what we're netflixing at the moment. Damn.

Bunnygirlie · 06/04/2014 21:35

Ooh won't be able to check in for news until after 5. Wishing you lots of luck tally and Flowers too

Thanks kitty boomI have had a few excellent reveals Grin

Will def leave buying stuff till after 20 weeks then.

Yay boo you da man!

Ooh foody you are such a busy bee! hope you get some rest time too

Had some lovely news tonight, I have a friend of a friend who has been trying for her second baby for several years and had 1 or 2 mcs, having TTC struggles in common we have chatted a few times. I text her tonight to tell her my news and she is pg too, about two weeks behind me Smile so chuffed!

jessplussomeonenew · 06/04/2014 22:52

Tally, will be thinking about you tomorrow - glad they're letting you have breakfast at least.

Bunny, that's lovely news - something quite similar happened to me and it's particularly lovely to have someone to share with!

Not much to report here, a day spent trying to work out how to create space in our back bedroom for a nursery.... we have so much stuff! A friend has said we can have her nursing chair which will be great if we can fit it in the car.

Thunderpantsarego · 06/04/2014 23:02
