For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Foody I was told pure almond oil but I believe you can also use Vaseline and you don't necessarily any oil tbh

foody mother we went for an uppababy vista as it had the best mn reviews and ticked all the boxes. We paid £200 second hand but it came with all the extras.

foody I had no idea I had to use a special oil! Was just going to use olive oil! Will ask at nct on thurs. Crib looks lovely btw x

Tallyra · 05/04/2014 21:20

Yes, they'll scan beforehand just to make sure but she's still upright, I can feel her skull just below my ribs.

I'll tell you what's heaven girls. Indian takeaway, then a lounge in a hot bath with a pot of honey yoghurt and a terry pratchett book. After my sore back all day it's gorgeous!

Mother, we got the mothercare xtreme leopard. £160, three wheels and complete travel system. It's quite heavy though. Hoping it'll mean dog walking won't be too difficult.

Boomgoestheweasel · 05/04/2014 21:57

We got the city jogger mini twin mother, it seems to tick all the boxes and was on sale at boots over Christmas!

tally that sounds like bliss! Particularly jealous of the honey yoghurt, I got so full after my dinner (salad!!) that I couldn't manage my pudding tonight. Gutted! Hope you manage to relax and enjoy tomorrow - your last full day before you're a mummy! Eee I'm so excited!

2.7 stone on here folks, aaargh! Oh well, was never going to come out of this looking like Kate moss...

Foodylicious · 05/04/2014 22:09

Thats very respectable boom, considering you are carrying two and much further along! I expect to manage at least another stone by the time I am due.

We need to go for the lightest push chair possible, might go check them out tomorrow in mothercare. had a quick look a little bit ago, but might let someone talk to me this time! they had so many staff, at least 5 people asked if I needed and help

MotherOfCleo · 05/04/2014 23:01

foody that crib looks fab!! Also re prams, my friend got really bad sciatica post birth and had to change to a lighter pram, she went for the britax b-agile and I can vouch for it being super light and nippy, she's really happy with it!

Oh a fair few different prams on the go Grin think you've bagged some bargains! I think three wheels is a good call for dog walking, although I took my cheapy pram (secondhand mothercare spin, which cost £20 due to broken brake) over the woods yesterday and it handled it well. Our main pram is the mothercare xpedior but H hated the carseat so I bought a cheapy second pram to tide us over until he is big enough to warrant using the xpedior in stroller mode all the time. I spend a lot of my time when at the clinic getting H weighed looking at peoples prams Blush

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 01:04

Blind olive oil is fine too

All, enjoy your baths now as much as possible (probably just as crap advice as sleep banking Wink). I was warned against spending too long in the bath post labour (can make stitches dissolve prematurely evidently) but even if I wanted too E has other ideas. I would LOVE an hours soak with a book

In other news, I have night sweats. As in soaking the bed and pillows and now lying on a towel with wet hair kind of night sweats. Google says its my body getting rid of pregnancy liquids, but its grim and means I need to strip the bed tomorrow :(

OP posts:
MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 07:04

merk I had night sweats too Sad they suck don't they!

Haha, a bath is a true joy these days! It is amazing how quickly you can shower isn't it, and I always think I can hear crying baby over the water. Hmm

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 07:17

Boom, is it the steroid injections that have kick started something in me? my boobs have gone from being just soft and normal to solid and sore.

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 07:30

merk night sweats sound grim! Hadn't heard of that oust preg before

tally what if it's her bum you're feeling rather than her head??

Right busy day ahead so need to stop pissing about on my phone. Got to loads of stuff to sort before my baby shower on sat including finishing the nursery. Will post pics later xxx

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 09:01

kitty if it's her bum, my head is fried and I get the chance for a normal birth, but I'm pretty sure it's not. if it is, its the boniest bum in the world!

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 09:07

tally I said that because that's what I thought and the mw corrected me!

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 09:12

well, we'll see tomorrow won't we? I really have no idea what I'd do if she's turned. I've got my head around surgery now and really want to meet her now!!!!

Bunnygirlie · 06/04/2014 09:15

Crikey all this talk of prams and expressing is scary! lol

tally how you feeling about tomorrow?

merk sorry to hear you are suffering! how is baby merklet?

Another day of telling people here Grin

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 09:29

ooh bunny, fun!! Are your cheeks hurting from smiling yet?

I'm ready, I think. as much as I'm going to be anyway. Having a lovely slow morning, changing the bedsheets, just generally pottering around. dh taken the dog out to the woods, I'm going to bake Anzac biscuits to take to the hospital and do a stew. I'm not looking forward to hospital food - being lactose intolerant means anything that might even be remotely nice isn't safe.

As kitty mentioned, if she has turned overnight then my head is screwed!! I have no idea what I'll do!

Tallyra · 06/04/2014 09:31

Thunder, have I missed something or have we not had an announcement from you yet? what's thunderkitten's name? Or are you still deciding?

Boomgoestheweasel · 06/04/2014 11:34

Tally you'd probably have felt her turn at this stage as it would be one hell of a wriggle to do a 180...that said not beyond the realms of possibility! I'm still secretly hoping mine have both turned round but I can feel the heads so I know they haven't. I wouldn't have thought steroids would have done that to your boobs, maybe they just know miniTally is on the way! Ps if you have spare Anzac biscuits feel free to send them my way - looooove them Biscuit

Thunderkitten has a lovely name, it's on FB!

Bunny hope you have a lovely day of announcements and congratulations Grin

Spent this morning at a carboot sale, managed to get a travel cot and a few bits for Mummy Boom's house, plus found a Maya sling which I'm very chuffed with for £6! Now going to do a tip run, wash all the stuff that got covered in tile dust in the garage and generally try and get the house in some kind of order. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 12:00

Tally happy last not being a mum day! My tip is to set up a table next to where you are going to breastfeed... Books, lamp, somewhere to put food and drinks, phone charger, muslins/tissues etc. I've still not got a good chair to feed in (so my back is fucked) or a table near the sofa (so I either spend hours staring frustrated at things that are out of reach or have to constantly ask DH to pass things)

OP posts:
MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 12:22

Great tip merk! I used to sit down and start feeding and realise my drink or the tv remote was the other side of the room Sad

MotherOfCleo · 06/04/2014 12:22

Oh and tally I so bloody excited for you it is untrue Grin

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 12:24

bunny sorry about the pram etc talk, I know it must be freaky. It won't be long before it's you though!

tally my friend said the same actually. Either way you're going to have a beautiful little girl in your arms very soon Smile. boom is quite today...

Knackered already but do seen to have some order to the nursery. Slight nervous that applying my tree to the walls will take longer than expected after what [tally] said

BlindKitty · 06/04/2014 12:26

Oh obviously not refreshed! No boombabies today!

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 12:49

Blind my tree took bloody ages!

Can somebody repost the list, I've lost track of due dates and can't wait for more babies

Have you all thought about where you're going to breastfeed ( if that's your plan)? See my post to tally below, it was a massive oversight for us so feeding is currently v uncomfortable for me

OP posts:
PuppyMummy · 06/04/2014 14:22

ooh we hav a tree to! painted walls last weekend so waitin til end of this week to put it up so paint dries properly.

merk we hav been considering a feeding chair for nursery but have decided to wait and see how we get on, is the sofa no good?

CatsCantFlyFast · 06/04/2014 15:06

It kind of depends on the height of your sofa seat to arms if that makes sense. We have chesterfields so the arms are the same height as the back. Therefore arms are too high to rest my elbows on and if I prop up my bum on cushions so I'm sitting high enough to rest my elbows on the arm of the sofa then I have no backrest. Don't underestimate the weight of a baby head! You def need something to rest your elbow on and I've found cushions crap (you sink into them and end up slouched over) and two expensive breastfeeding cushions useless (they slip away from my body). The length of time you spend in this position I would say its really worth figuring out as it's made me miserable!
