For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 08:01

Oh so that was your main reference text through all that training....

Tallyra · 25/03/2014 08:06

go on thunder, you shouldn't be wishing these feelings away. I'm pleased to inform you that you are actually due to have a baby shortly. Grin

does a twitchy hicuppy bump translate to a hicuppy baby? I'm getting a bit tired of all the twitching now! Also, if she really is engaging, I bloody hope she comes out a bit early. 3 weeks is a long time if I'm this uncomfortable!

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 08:07

I'm totally qualified, I am Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/03/2014 08:14

Tally my bump had hiccups what seemed like permanently at the end. And she has had them quite a lot since.
Paracetamol thunder, as soon as you need it. Thinking of you and leaping around with excitement

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 08:14

No no, not wishing anything away tally, just know it can be a long haul and the start of things can stop and start for a while!

Yes to twitching being hiccups I reckon. I remember getting to a period where there was a peak in hiccup activity and thinking this is getting weird and boring now!

It's good news if your bubs is engaged tally - it's obviously read the manual!

MotherOfCleo · 25/03/2014 08:23

thunder my contractions felt like period pains, it was only when I started timing them that it became obvious they were contractions.....that and them getting stronger! Good luck, can't wait for more newborn pics. Grin

tally my awkward child never fully engaged so cant help I'm afraid.

MotherOfCleo · 25/03/2014 08:24

oh and merk, we need more E pics on fb Wink Grin

Bunnygirlie · 25/03/2014 08:42

Morning!

tally hope your appt with mw tomorrow eases your worries and helps you reach a decision

foody yay to days off you lucky thing!

I hate Tuesday's and had bad start to the day with gagging which gave me the hot sweats and a headache Sad

Thanks for the headache advice boom charming really struggling with drinking water or squash, trying to water down juice and drink more of that. I have had 3 lots of single paracetamols since bfp but would rather stay away from drugs if I can.

Yay yo no nits charming.

Hope those babies are behaving and getting ready boom

And lastly... COME ON thunderbaby!!!!! x

BlearyeyedLol · 25/03/2014 09:08

Bunny I had horrendous headaches in the second tri and sometimes took paracetamol as much as 3 times a week. I did worry lots but mw said as long as pain was going away with the first lot I had nothing to worry about!
I'm a fully qualified mw from OBEM (other programs are availableGrin) and have therefore diagnosed thunder with early latent phase of labour WinkWink

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 09:09

bunny if you're going to take paracetamol I would suggest 1g at a time. The singles probably won't actually be enough to help so you're better taking a decent dose which will actually help the pain, rather than having to go back for more. That said, I totally know where you're coming from re: unnecessary drugs as I've stayed away from them myself where possible, but did work myself up into a crying mess a couple of times with unshakeable headaches due to refusing to take paracetamol until it was too late hence my hypocritical 'don't be a martyr' comment!

Tally ooh exciting about engagement! Hiccups are due to immature diaphragm going into spasm, it's usually around now you notice it the most because the baby's big enough to bump you even with a 'hic'! Even I can feel mine doing it through a double layer of placenta Grin

No such luck with engagement here - babies both seem to be at the top end of the uterus, there's basically nothing below my belly button. How do they even both fit up there?! Going to have a chat with Mr Boom today about presenting a united front when I see the doctor tomorrow, I don't want to be bullied into section/induction (ha! still hopeful) before I (and the twins) are ready. I know he's basically with me but want him to know exactly what their arguments are likely to be so they don't scaremonger him into changing his mind!

Had a baby yet thunder? Hurry up, tea's going cold over here..

It better be a comfy sofa? Mw lol predicts a Saturday arrival....

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/03/2014 10:01

Why Sat? How's the pains?

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 25/03/2014 10:46

thunder I predict a Thursday delivery!

tally woop woop for engagement! Remind me how many weeks you are? Is it 37?

So my friend (who had the mmc at new year) has her 6 week scan this morning. Just praying everything is ok this time..

In my news I'm just waiting to see a patient who has a tendancy to be aggressive..great...

Brodicea · 25/03/2014 10:48

Oo, thunder Saturday is very specific - and also rather exciting!

I've been off the radar a bit but keeping tabs on everyone - amazed at how close a lot of us are, and how established the early Berries' pregnancies are becoming.

A pointless 'me me' moan which you can skip!:
Just under six weeks to go until my EDD. I am thoroughly fed up - I've been really funny with the DH, we've had a really weird few days. I hope I can blame the pregnancy for this really low mood Sad I feel really bad too, as I'm about to get what I've wanted for so long!

Tallyra · 25/03/2014 11:33

bunny, I really wouldn't worry about a little bit of paracetamol. while I was in hospital for rehydration they seemed to want me to take it regularly with my anti sickness stuff. I refused it because I wasn't in pain. not sure why they kept offering it as I never asked for painkillers!

Tallyra · 25/03/2014 11:34

I'll be 37weeks on Thursday.

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 11:39

Why sat lol?

Pains- quite sore actually now. Keep going very very tight with lots of pressure. Every few minutes.

bunny I agree with the others re paracetamol. It had no effect on my headaches but it's definitely worth a try.

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 11:51

Thunder's in labour, thunder's in laaaaabour

Seriously thunder, might be worth timing them. And not pretending they're not happening unless you want to pop Thunderkitten out on the loo..

Brod sorry you're having a hard time. It's definitely hormones, and impending total life change I think! Hope things get better, I'm sure Mr Brod understands.

Kitty should you be seeing someone who's aggressive?? Be careful x

Tallyra · 25/03/2014 12:03

ooh thunder!!!! Shock

MotherOfCleo · 25/03/2014 12:03

I agree with boom thunder, start timing them! Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/03/2014 12:22

Thunder remember that not everyone gets the 3 in 10 mins with each one lasting a minute, I didn't. If I'd been going onto the delivery suite they wouldn't have taken me in as they weren't a minute long and I would have given birth at home.
Keep breathing, singing, stamping, whatever works. Good luck lovely, thunder kitten is coming xx

OP posts:
CatsCantFlyFast · 25/03/2014 12:23

I'm assuming by pressure you don't mean anywhere near your bum...

OP posts:
Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 12:27

Still here, just back from town and paying cheques in. merk like you say if these are contractions then they are certainly not following the rules!

Ok I'll have a go at timing....

DH about to go out on a job for work... Hmmm....

brod definitely put it down to the hormones my lovely- there's so much whizzing about in there and you're both dealing with big changes ahead so try not to worry if you can. Can you arrange a date night or something and just go out and have a laugh or something?

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 12:33

No not bum merk mostly round whole bump and low uterus area. I feel like I'm being squeezed and squeezed
