For pregnant berries at any stage. Scary thought but this is the one where some babies will appear!

charming I look hideously unsexy in my mat bras as it is without wearing even bigger knickers!

Damn it thunder id forgotten I'd put goodies in the hospital bag...

sid can't wait for sun too (well May) as at least I'll be able to wear my maxi dresses and not the hideous mat clothes I've been sporting all winter

PuppyMummy · 24/03/2014 20:41

non of my maxi dresses will fit me and I refuse to buy more maternity things! Sad

even when I have given birth they wont fit, I hav put on so much weight. cant moan cos its self inflicted (with cake). am hoping ill burn it off quick breastfeeding and pushing baby in the pram!

Bunnygirlie · 24/03/2014 20:50

Gosh I've missed loads! But it's all stuff that's Japanese to me, breast pumps and hospital bags Shock

sid the 'what if spiral of doom' is a great description. At 12w scan we had the downs tests too, was told if there is a problem we should get a call in 5/6 days otherwise we go through results at 16w appt. Stress!

I can't believe you are buying maternity stuff already, I am too scared!

Lol at boom popping a twin out in excitement!

Awwwww thanks merk so glad baby merk is doing well Smile scan piccie just gone on FB, no worries for missing my excitement, you did have plenty of your own lol.

thunder yay to baby moving in the right direction! Not long now Grin

I'm getting a lot of headaches, assume its because I'm not drinking enough water or could it just be another hideous symptom?

Tallyra · 24/03/2014 20:54

Merk, I'm still not sure what we will be doing. I called the MLU to go for a tour and apparently they are now too busy to do tours at all. I have the big mw talk on weds though, she has set aside an hour long appt so we can have a good talk about it. I'm a little more open to the idea than I was, but I still really want to stay at home.

Bottle wise, we have been given a set of Avent bottles but no teats and a steriliser that is too big for the microwave so we are halfway there with that. The idea of a ready made bottle just in case is appealing but as long as it's available in a supermarket we are ok as tescos is right next to the hospital, and sainsburys is right near our house. Maybe I should check?Wink

Foodylicious · 24/03/2014 20:59

I have also not been able to bring myself to but and MAT pants but will be going shopping on Thursday for bigger pants and trousers.
My underbump trousers seem to fit ok but are always uncomfy by lunch time/afternoon so might try some underbump ones (assuming I can find some in a shop to actually try on!) thinking I will try New Look? hoping they have a better range in now its nearly spring, they had bugger all when I looked at mat clothes out of curiosity long before I needed them and felt a bit silly a few months ago.

Two days at work now the four off!!! yay. Hoping to get booked in to get my hair/highlights done as have very bad roots, only had it dome once since August. Will also be buying paint and some new skirting board. Think I am going to find it really frustrating not being able to do all the painting myself because OH is rubbish at it because I like the satisfaction of doing it all myself.
Will enjoy the B&Q shopping though, I love that place when its quiet during the week.

Tallyra · 24/03/2014 21:00

With the new thread question poppy, I think we just need to get to know our elders and join them. They will have a huge amount of knowledge that we can call on and the more I get to know them the nicer they seem Grin

CharmingCats · 24/03/2014 21:04

Thanks for the pant advice. Might try a range. No nits, you'll be pleased to know.
He's really moving about now. I can feel it if I put my hand on my tummy. Will work up the courage to put a bump shot on fb.
I love the over the bump leggings from next. They're so cosy. Praying for a mild summer.

Tallyra · 24/03/2014 21:14

It's such an amazing feeling isn't it charming?? I'm glad there's no nits, that's horrible at the best of times but I don't know if you can treat when pregnant?

Boomgoestheweasel · 24/03/2014 21:18

Never again shall I mock moxibustion. Don't know if they're turning head down but the bambinos are rocking out in there tonight. It's making me feel a bit queasy/seasick! Been doing this since the nice lady waggled her smoky stuff over my feet earlier...

Charming hurrah, no nits! Always good to know..

Jealous of all you girls who get to wear pretty, floaty mat clothes over summer instead of big shapeless jumpers and baggy jeans!

thunder glad you're feeling better and Thunderkitten is snuggling down nicely. 'Spect you'll have a baby soon...

Bunny lovely pics Grin drink lots of water and remember paracetamol are allowed - don't martyr yourself over a headache!

I've found a secondhand pump and steriliser for free on the local mums auction so picking it up tomorrow, going to buy some freezer milk bags and see what I can get out before these two wrigglers put in an appearance. Not sure what make it is mind...

Anyone heard from brod recently? Or am I just being dim?

Tallyra · 24/03/2014 21:31

Turn babies turn!!!!!Grin

CharmingCats · 24/03/2014 22:20

Sending turning vibes....
Glad at the lacks of nits, as you can't use the chemicals when pg, so would have to rely on combing, which is not easy to do yourself. DH is away til Wednesday. Did find an interesting business that hovers the hair though:
www.thehairforce.co.uk/our-services/
Quite fancy having it done just to feel what it's like.....
Yes to paracetamol bunny . I've fund soluble is gentle on the tummy.
Horrendous wind this morning. Made me think of sid Grin . Almost looking forward to heartburn as it can't be worse than the farting/constipation combo I have now.

Thunderpantsarego · 24/03/2014 22:23

Come on boombabes!!

If it's worth anything I think your moxtiwotsit might have worked on thunderkit too- it seems to have worked its way over to the left again. Squirming it's way down?

charming lovely news about bubs wiggling. I bought work trousers in debenhams (red herring maybe? Can't remember) which did me really well.

foody How come you can't do the painting? Are you suffering? Sorry I can't remember who's suffering with which ailment. I love a good bit of decorating too.

CharmingCats · 24/03/2014 22:23

*hoovers

Thunderpantsarego · 24/03/2014 22:24

Oh bunny yes I've had headaches throughout. Hope yours are kinder on you Smile

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/03/2014 22:41

Sending a big reminder to CLENCH, I've not had any issues but on trying to do kegels today I found my pelvic floor muscles seem to be absent
Grr to wind and headaches. They don't make pregnancy easy do they?

OP posts:
Tallyra · 25/03/2014 05:38

morning all. doing my regular thing as dh leaves for work of realising I'm hungry and need to eat or I'll be sick later.

what does an engaged baby feel like? getting out of bed felt really odd this morning, like I couldn't bend properly, and whenever I go to the loo it feels like I'm almost too full to go, if that makes sense?

Tallyra · 25/03/2014 05:46

Anyway, back to snoozing with the dog....Smile

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 06:25

Don't ask me tally!

Loads of cramping here all night tho- so I might be able to tell you soon. Go easy on the labour vibes guys- gently does it Wink

BlindKitty · 25/03/2014 07:22

thunder ooh cramping you say??!!!

tally the ready made bottles are £8 for 6 on Tesco online if you have money to burn!

foody can you not buy the fume free paint so you can help?

bunny whenever I've had a headache I've managed to resolve it with relaxation or lying down. Although tbf I've not had them as bad as most. Just take a couple of paracetamol if that and drinking plenty of water doesn't work

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 07:25

Eeeee thunder eeeeee are you going to have a baby??!

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 07:29

I dunno boom you tell me? It's like BH but they are increasingly painful- bump goes totally hard. Otherwise feels like period pains.... I assume this is just more things shifting around?

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/03/2014 07:33

Tally that sounds like an engaged baby to me...I found I couldn't sit upright over my pelvis as I could basically feel her head there

Thunder my contractions didn't make my bump visibly hard but also I wouldn't have recognised what I was having as contractions based on all the descriptions I had read. I think the best indicator is the regularity

OP posts:
Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 07:40

gonna have a baby, gonna have a baaaaby...

Hope you realise that I'm basically delirious from lack of sleep over recent nights and am no good to man not beast on the midwifery front.. However going on description could be either early latent phase or strong braxtons. merk's right, keep an eye on regularity and duration, if they start ramping up then it's probably the beginning of labour Grin Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 25/03/2014 07:42

Yeah I don't think these are contractions.

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/03/2014 07:48

You keep telling yourself that thunder < potters about finding hot water, warm towels and other stuff they always have in Call the Midwife>
