Hahaa saggy I can imagine you being quite the German Navi!! You've got something about you ;)

No offense intended to Germans or Navis

CorporeSarnie · 08/03/2014 21:23

Well done Saggy, and welcome to Lucy. Lovely name.
Am officially more pregnant than I managed last time. Feel a little better having got past that landmark, but still gusset-checking on a very regular basis. A little bit of cramping today, but also been a bit windy, so could be nothing.
Have had several conversations in last few days where I suspect people may have guessed I am pregnant, thankfully all but one person too polite to ask directly. Hated lying but don't want to tell just yet... Think I need to stop rubbing my tummy :)

fod27 · 08/03/2014 21:26

cor I was very windy in my first trimester.. Hope that helps ;)

Alb1 · 08/03/2014 22:37

Wow this thread has moved quickly today! Can't keep up!

Cbeebies that sounds horrible, hope ur feeling a little better now.

Congrats on all the good scans and welcome all new people Smile sorry I'm missing so much it's too hard to scroll back on my phone!

We did something insane today n bought a pram (que massive wobble) I'm only 15 weeks today so wasn't planning to for months yet but it was such a good deal it jus seemed stupid not to, deffiently the bravest thing iv done this whole pregnancy!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 09/03/2014 03:33

That's some posifrikentivity alb, and very exciting!!
I'm yet to buy baby anything and I'm 31 weeks Hmm I think I need to get a move on!

A middle of the night nosebleed has caused me to wake here, first nosebleed then toilet then drink now I'm led beds thinking I'm starving! When really I just want to go back to sleep. Stupid body Angry

Pixielady83 · 09/03/2014 07:40

bakingtins · 09/03/2014 08:10

Good luck pixie Flowers

Pentagon · 09/03/2014 09:03

cbeebies I hope the iron tablets are helping!

pixie good luck! Thinking of you!xx

GuffSmuggler · 09/03/2014 09:06

Thinking of you pixie NEARLY THERE!!!!

I got a stretch of 3 hours sleep last night

GuffSmuggler · 09/03/2014 09:07

And WELL DONE you saggy hope you are snuggling together right now, when will they let you home?

fedupofrainydays · 09/03/2014 09:21

Hope the iron helps cbeebies. Back in the day my mum had anemia and she was ordered to drink Guinness when upduffed! How times have changed... (I turned out ok too as did my sis!)

Ha ha saggy I remember shouting "IT DOESNT FUCKING WORK" about the gas and air but think I saved the midwife from any expletives directed at her!!

Good luck pixie just think... Not too long now till you meet your baby!!

squizita · 09/03/2014 09:38

Fedup My parents lived next door to the brewery (the London one) and they provided it to local clinics! I blame that for my unladylike real ale penchant when not upduffed. Mind you during a midwinter strike when I was a teeny, plus snow, my mum couldn't get to the shops at all and was in a state - another factory (Heinz I think) sent a tractor to our block with beans, formula, babyfood jars, rusks, nappies etc' for stranded mums! Oh no I sound like some old biddy! "It's all designer offices round there now you know..." Grin

Pixie Best of luck! :)

Debenhams comfy maternity bras = best thing ever. Better than sliced bread. We'll ignore the wobble yesterday when I realised I'd had the temerity to put on something designed for pregnancy and had a mad knicker check in case of the imaginary jinx. Although husband did point out that "when baby is out and off the boob, I'll buy you some nice La Senza bits after all this boob pain" (and he would have no interest in lacy bras on his wife after months of practical haha).

Squiz I'm not a teacher but I think it's absolutely disgraceful about headteachers deciding for teachers when everyone should be told, it should be up to each individual to decide when they want to tell people. That kind of thing makes my blood boil!!! Angry. Excellent tip about the maternity bras thanks, I've been trying to find a good one for ages to no avail, think I'll nip into Debenhams this week Smile

Saggy thanks for the welcome back and I'm really glad to hear that you and Lucy are doing well, it made me laugh about your response to the no entonox advice! Grin

Pixie really good luck - you're on the home straight! Smile Flowers

alb that's fantastic, which one have you got?

Cor I had lots of cramping in the first tri, it made me very uneasy but turned out to be nothing to worry about.

cbeebies hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Welcome to all the new people Smile

As of today I'm finally in the third trimester which I'm feeling very cheerful about!!! Grin Feels like it's been a long time getting here, but I'm here! Grin Grin Grin. I even agreed (much to DH's surprise, I've been holding out) to order our pram, car seat and isofix base today (package deal), only to find out it's out of stock in the colour we want! Angry.
It will be in stock again in between two - four weeks, or we can order it and have it delivered as soon as it's back in stock. We're waiting for two weeks and if it isn't in stock we'll order it anyway. Smile Still, it will give me time to have my car valeted before the car seat is installed. Then it's just the mattresses and baby carrier to buy. Feeling slightly wobbly but still quite posifrikintive Smile.

fod27 · 09/03/2014 11:38

Go shopping cbeebies! today! That's a order ;)
pixie yayyyyy how exciting! Please keep us posted
Congrats stars on entering the third trimester. Here's to constipation, feeling uncomfortable, pregnancy induced acne, windy pops, swollen everything, breathlessness and exhaustion...... Let the fun commence ;)

Pixielady83 · 09/03/2014 12:31

Waters broken, was bloody awful as cervix still so far posterior but at least its done now and contractions started... got 4 hrs to get into established labour now before they put me on drip. To add insult to injury it took 4 attempts to get a canula in so my arms and hands hurt far more than contractions!

StarsInTheNightSky · 09/03/2014 13:02

Lol thanks fod! Grin

Pixie that sounds awful Sad really hoping that things start getting more positive for you really soon Flowers

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 09/03/2014 13:05

It's a mamas and papas ultima travel system thing which I have spent all morning fighting with tryna learn how to put it up, now having a break before putting it down again! Then gona hide it away n forget I have it for the next few months (partly cos my cats are already eyeing it up as a comfy bed)

JBrd · 09/03/2014 13:40

Gosh, cbeebies, you've had a rough time! Hope you're feeling better very soon x

Go, Pixie! Here's to a speedy and easy labour

Feeling so much better today

JBrd · 09/03/2014 13:41

Oops, pressed too soon!
Feeling so much better today, I'm actually managing to have a go at the long neglected garden in this glorious weather!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 09/03/2014 14:44

Fod I would love to go shopping, but it's a mixture of needing to wait till may pay kicks in (I'm self employed and better off when pregnant as they pay me the full whack and I don't actually earn that much!!) and not knowing what size to buy/not wanting to jinx it Hmm also possibly a case of burying my head in the sand!

Dd1 was 8lb 3oz and fitted beautifully in her newborn clothes. Because of medical issues I've been told I can't carry a baby to full term, my body won't let me and I also only have half a size uterus so in theory should have small babies.
Dd2 was overdue and 10lb 9oz Hmm I only took newborn stuff and it was all too small, I already have most essentials like pram, car seat, bouncer, crib. It's just this one has no clothes! I need a chest of drawers, a special blanket and comfortor (something both girls had) stud like that really, stuff that is 'his'.

But I'm worried if I start buying properly he will turn up early or stillborn and I worry that I'm not really pregnant, it's all just in my head (again Hmm I'm the size of a whale and can feel him moving)

The mind of a pregnant woman is an interesting place (or is it jut my head!)

Good luck pixi, hope baby is here for you soon xx
