Weird wee related question, I need to go quite often, but when I do hardly any comes out. I'm well hydrated so wonder if its just going "too soon" as the signals are stronger. Apart from last night - my 1st morning wee at 6am was tiny! I drank 2 tumblers of water and an hour later did a really big wee but it felt less urgent.
Considering drinking more anyway ... But paranoid I'm absorbing it all somehow!

How far along are you squiz?

squizita · 05/04/2014 19:52

17 weeks. Its weird... Usually i'd drink and an hour later wee that amount. Now I get the urge randomly, random amount of wee too! I can feel bursting and squeeze out a drop. Another time, do a normal amount.

Hiya ladies. Self indulgent post I'm afraid, but after some advice. Have posted in main pregnant forum too but thought may get some more responses here

I'm 18 weeks today. And on and off for last few days I've had pain behind my belly button and pain directly above it in a straight line (about 2 - 3cm long). And when I touch the area it's all tender and feels kind of like a ridge in my muscle. It's uncomfortable to bend down / stand up from laying down.

I have grown quite a bit in the tummy region in the last week or so, so don't know if it's linked to that or whether it's worth seeing a doctor about or waiting 2 weeks till my next midwife appointment. I've also been getting pain around my 6 year old c section scar when I cough or sneeze too.

Sorry if you think I'm silly posting this here rather than going straight to health professional. It's just I'm consultant lead this pregnancy and don't want to take up any more of their time than is strictly needed x

MrsGiraffe12 · 05/04/2014 19:59

Ps ark so sorry to hear this lovely. Lots of hand holding and hugs here. Take care of yourself and DP next few days xx

fod27 · 05/04/2014 20:10

squiz could be simply pressure from baby? Xx

fod27 · 05/04/2014 20:11

MrsG I too had that, exactly they same pain in the same place hope that helps xxx

squizita · 05/04/2014 20:17

Fod yes I hope so... Just starting to show so perhaps bladder is getting squeezed? So feel the urge before its actually full?

MrsGiraffe12 · 05/04/2014 20:23

Thanks fod its horrible. It varies between pain like a pulled muscle/stitch to pain like I'm being torn there if that makes sense. May wait till Monday and if it's not gone I'll call gp for reassurance. I though I'd enjoy being pregnant after a loss but can honestly say as much as I'm looking forward to meeting this baby, I wish I could sleep through the whole pregnancy. Being labeled high risk doesn't help either :-S

BobaFetaCheese · 05/04/2014 20:28

How's this for posifrickentivity? 4wks pregnant tomorrow and DH is already looking at new cars. Shock AF was due sometime between last tuesday and monday so I have my first hurdle!

MrsGiraffe12 · 05/04/2014 20:29

feta whoop for the posifrickintivity xx

JBrd · 05/04/2014 20:41

Ark, so so sorry you have to experience this again, it's just so unfair Hmm Hope you have lots of support in this difficult time, look after yourself xx

kitkat321 · 05/04/2014 22:14

So very sorry ark take care of yourself xxxx

I'm now at 5+1 - 3 days to the dreaded 5+4 when I had my two previous mc's.

Still not told OH ad I want to pass that milestone first. A bit worried that some of the nausea seemed to have faded only for it to come back tonight although I'm not burping as much as a was. My boobs are killing me though - much more painful than last time. I'm viewing it as more symptoms = more positive.

I wish I could just sleep until next Friday which would get me to 6 weeks and give me some hope that this one might stick.

Had the odd tummy twinge which fills me with dread each time and my lower back is quite sore sometimes but other than that all ok for now.

Still staying positive but also not getting my hopes up and as bad as it sounds, trying to focus on some positives if it doesn't work out i.e. we'll book ourselves a nice holiday. Also scared to exercise and haven't run or cycled since I found out which is frustrating because I do want to stay healthy - ironically, I'm still horse riding and feel perfectly safe doing so but for some reason I think a light jog will cause problems.

feta loving the posifrickintivity!!

Alb1 · 05/04/2014 23:24

mrsg iv had that aswell, I'm 19 weeks today, it's not tender to touch but other than that it sounds the same as mine.

fedup congrats on the lovely scan news!
ark so sorry it's not worked out for u again, hope ur getting plenty of RL support.
wig I didn't have the tests either, but my midwife told me it only tests for downs, which iv since found out isn't true! I regretted not having the tests done at the time as I was out off by my midwife but now I'm glad I never had them, it's a very personal choice tho.

I never went to the midwife about my horribly wobbly legs as it turns out I don't have their phone number and I felt too stupid to phone the labour ward which is the only number I can find! But the next day my legs were just incredibly stiff and have been since, sitting and standing, walking up stairs etc is difficult so I think I may have just overdone it somehow, although I have no idea how! Gona go to my gp on Monday if it's not eased off tho just to get checked out. I was soooo sure I cud feel the baby moving for the first time on Wednesday (deff didn't feel like wind) but I havnt felt anythin since so now I dunno what to think!

Alb1 · 05/04/2014 23:25

That was suppose to say put off by my midwife, autocorrect is being a pain tonight!

Penguinita · 06/04/2014 07:49

ark so sorry to hear your sad news. That is beyond crap. I hope that you can maybe use this to get some extra medical help to look into why this keeps happening to you. Flowers

Penguinita · 06/04/2014 08:02

So I'm now officially on babymoon for a week, hoorah! It looks like the British weather is going to be typically bad for the next few days but never mind, I'll just have to relax around the pool and get some spa treatments Smile. I haven't put the car seat in, hopefully not tempting fate there.

Yesterday I went to my last NCT class which was all about looking after a newborn baby. It was very useful as I was totally clueless, but also made me realise how unprepared we are. I feel a big shopping trip and house rearrangement coming on...

alb when I first started feeling movement if was only once every few days, so I reckon it probably was baby that you felt!

squiz sounds like that is either a UTI or baby is lying on your bladder in an awkward way. Try drinking lots of cranberry juice to clear it out and if it gets worse then go to the GP.

wigwam33 · 06/04/2014 08:40

Arkady I'm so so sorry, it's really horrible and unfair. I do hope you've got people around you to offer you TLC. Do go easy on yourself too, it's a big loss. Sending you hugs.

wigwam33 · 06/04/2014 08:57

LondonJen, JBrd, fedup thanks for your responses and your honesty. You too saggy and Alb re the nuchal test.

Alb I also didn't realise it was a test for anything other than Down's? My midwife told me just Downs too. She didn't discourage me though, just left decision up to me/ us.

You're right though it is a very personal decision and I think because we'd already agreed we didn't want the further tests if I came out 'high risk' we thought 'what's the point?' .

I feel a bit more peaceful about things now, was just having a wobble.

fedupofrainydays · 06/04/2014 09:21

ark I'm so sorry to hear that. It's so unfair and rubbish. Take care of yourself and your DH, particularly if you do decide this is your last go. :(

fedupofrainydays · 06/04/2014 09:25

I slept so badly last night. Having dreams about results of my combined Nuchal test and abnormalities and stupidly spent time on dr google. It's hideous you have to wait for days after your 12 wk scan to find out if low or high risk. I'm dreading a phone call. If my scan and blood test was Friday - if I was high risk, when would I get a call?
Not sure I would have any invasive tests though if I am high risk it's more just my mind going in to overdrive about abnormalities not compatible with life. Feel totally mental again and tired after having slept so badly :(

Alb1 · 06/04/2014 10:04

wig sorry, it doesn't specifically test for things other than downs, but it can also come back high risk if a baby has another chromosome abnormality such as Edwards syndrome as I understand it now, but if u wudnt have further testing anyway (which I wudnt have done personally) the nuchal tests still wud only give u one overall risk factor, so I guess wud give u no clue of that, but it was something I specifically asked my midwife about and she misinformed me cudnt be bothered tryna book me in for the tests but like I say looking back I made the right decision for me personally, we cudnt afford anything like harmony testing and the invasive procedures just arnt for me, so if I'd have got high risk I'd have jus have something extra to worry myself about, and luckily it's not something I worry about now that I don't no (I say luckily cos I'm a huge paranoid worrier in this pregnancy!)

LondonJen · 06/04/2014 10:11

Ark I am so sorry to hear this has happened. Wishing you lots of strength and RL support x
