Good luck fedup try not to obsess (I know that's easier said than done) but you will make yourself ill, you must take it easy and try to take care of you. Hope you have lots of RL support with you today. I remember that feeling all too well, it's awful, you feel out of control, lost and frightened at least your not being made to wait all day with those feelings xxx sending lots of hugs and positivity your way - get some breakfast down you too xx

StarsInTheNightSky · 04/04/2014 07:30

fedup wishing you really good luck this morning, thinking of you xxx.

squiz wishing you really good luck and thinking of you too xxx.

kitkat I know exactly what you mean, I used to think how nice it would have been (in some ways) to be one of the people who doesn't find out until about 20 weeks! The first trimester really seems to drag, but I think time does start passing more quickly in the second and third Smile. Hang in there and hold on to the positivity xxx.

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 04/04/2014 08:52

Blah...pregnancy sucks. That is all. (I might come back later to expand but if not, I'm just fed up, there's nothing 'wrong' other than being extremely parinoid, terrified I've gotten this far and am not going to get a healthy baby at the end, my ribs hurt where he is kicking me constantly, I can hardly walk due to sucky pgp and to top it all off I have painful uncomfortable piles. Angry) I am so done with this pregnancy. 5 weeks to d day and I just want this thing out of me.

fod27 · 04/04/2014 09:09

I feel your pain cbeebies just hope that you don't go over ;(

JBrd · 04/04/2014 09:44

Good luck with your scan today, fedup! Let us know how it goes!

kjh5 · 04/04/2014 09:44

Cbeebies feeling your pain! I know everyone is different but I had exactly the same problems with my SPD as you, between weeks 35 and 37 I could barely walk because it was so bad. But then the baby dropped and changed position and while it is still there it has become so much more manageable. So try take heart in the fact that a change in position can help with that bit massively!

I'll join you on the grumpy wagon though - had dreadful backache and 'period pain' throughout yesterday evening, started to develop into contractions at about 2am and then stopped an hour later and have had nothing since. This is going to go on for weeks isn't it?

On the bright side, I am so glad I have loads of things organised to try and take my mind off this last bit. Manicure, lunch and afternoon tea all booked in for today. Fx that puts me in a better mood!

Here's hoping fedup has a great scan today!

TeaAndANatter · 04/04/2014 09:48

Two contractions last night, but then got so excited that presumably my cortisol and adrenaline stopped the whole thing. Did this for a week before DD came - got very excited, stopped contractions, went back to sleep in a grump. Pah! Still, 38 weeks today, so still cooking really. x

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 04/04/2014 10:04

Fod this baby is NOT going over due (went over with dd2) it's just not an option!!

I also have an irritable uterus so have regular strong contractions, just really hoping that they are getting my body ready for a really short labour (both girls less that 8 hours so not bad!)

Dh is also under strict instructions that from 36 weeks we are having sex at least once a day - I don't give a damn that I'm like a beached whale, I've carried this baby for 9 months, dealt with the crazy hormones, paranoia and anxiety tht comes with being pregnant after a miscarriage (or 6) I've had the spd, heartburn, morning sickness, painful boobs, sore ribs, piles, insomnia, bleeding gums, exhaustion, waddling, lack of clothes, varicose veins, headaches, itchy skin, I've felt with all the consultant appointments and midwife appointments on my own and all whilst running around after 2 toddlers. The least he can do is have sex with me to help induce labour!!

I'm such a moany bitch today, sorry.

More positive news baby is doing really well, measuring as he should, head down and 1/5 engaged :)

Good luck fedup with your scan today

Welcome all the new ones to the bus, as much a I hate pregnancy I am so greatful to be having another baby, and it will be worth it in the end. I do hope your pregnancies are as sucky as mine, because it's the symptoms and side effects that suck, not the having a baby part. And the symptoms mean everything is normal :)

JBrd · 04/04/2014 10:28

Let it all out Cbeebies, rage is good Grin Your DH better watch out...

I met with my mums-group for a take away last night, we all had our first DCs together back in 2011. I wanted to announce to them that I was pg again, but then got told by my friend on the way that one of them has just had 2 mc earlier this year. So I didn't tell them, it just didn't feel right. I have always appreciated it if people have given me the heads up in private, before making a public announcement, so I thought it's the least I can do. I had one occasion where a friend (who didn't know about my mcs) told us about her pregnancy, and it was a right kick in the teeth Sad.
So I have decided that I won't tell anyone anything until I have at least the Harmony test results. Family and a few very close friends know, as well as my boss, but that's it.

Sadly, there will always be someone who will be made sad by your good news Sad

fod27 · 04/04/2014 10:37

cbeebies I went over with my others too lol said the same as you about this one.... Here I am at 41 weeks ;( if it makes you feel better tho I've had two sweeps and 4 bonks and still nothing ;( xxx

fod27 · 04/04/2014 10:38

Sorry.... Feel better about the lack of sex I mean ;)

CbeebiesIsAboutToPop · 04/04/2014 11:04

Lol fod, I'm not listening Wink dd1 was early and I'm ignoring the fact dd2 was overdue. I'm hoping they won't let me go over this time (as dd2 was MASSIVE) and induce me around my due date.

JBird, you are so right, it doesn't matter how tactful or sympathetic you are someone will always go home and cry after you tell them. It's not because they aren't happy for you, or because they want your baby, it's because they are reminded what they are without. I remember my sister announcing she was 6 weeks pregnant at my mums house. I went home and cried and cried then raged to my therapist about it. We weren't even trying for a baby, weren't ready to have another one and weren't sure if we were ever going to go for number 3. I just felt so angry that she was pregnant and had done it so easily. What I didn't know at the time was that I was 5 weeks pregnant with this little one! Blush

fedupofrainydays · 04/04/2014 11:13

Yay!! Baby bouncing around in there!! Elated its alive!!!! 13 wks so EDD now 10 Oct! Just the risk to wait for but for the mean time I'm on cloud 9!!! Thanks for all the good wishes too xxxx

Davmallem2013 · 04/04/2014 11:29

Thanks again stars that is more good advice I will remember, thankfully it was probably the main thing I went on about to my MW at booking in appointment and so have it in notes only twice at the mo so will make a point each time I meet with them. The registra has made referral to MH MW so have to wait for appointment with her and hopefully my consultant whenever I finally meet them will do the same as I don't really want to have a breakdown in front of them. Although the registra did give me the famous words I keep hearing "well anything can happen and your feelings may change" gggrrrr I don't think so Hmm.

Big good luck fedup for today and everything crossed for you Thanks

I feel for you jbrd with telling people but not telling them especially for you with awaiting results. I hope it all comes good for you and your right anyone's good pregnancy news is always sad for someone else.

kitkat feel exactly the same! wish I could just put to sleep for the 9 months so don't have to worry or deal with it all and then be woken when it's all turned out fine Grin

Well back to work for another 6 days straight again so will probably fall behind again. Hoping to find the news of the fodbaby when I do log on Smile. Will be looking forward to reading all the good news from you all and forgot to say was happy to read your good scan news jen as remembered yours was the day after mine, are dates are close together again Smile.

LondonJen · 04/04/2014 12:13

Great news Dav I can't believe how much you had to do to get little one up and moving! Good luck chatting with family.

Fedup and Squiz hope you're both feeling better (evil devil poo indeed!) and are having happy appointments today.

Penguin excellent car seat prep. Very real and exciting. Be amusing when your dp notices!

Cbeebies hope it helped to get it off your chest. I suggest a good sulk followed by something relaxing to cheer you up, bath and chocolate?

Fod hurray for 3 cm!! Fingers crossed you'll have her in your arms before next week's induction.

Sounds promising Tea!

Jbrd that's really considerate of you. It's sad isn't it? But at least you knew and were happy to hold back your own news.

Wigwam and Mabel I will add you to stats now..

LondonJen · 04/04/2014 12:15

Fedup I didn't want to presume I should add you yet but if you can't let me know and I will do it xx

fod27 · 04/04/2014 12:28

fedup what fantastic news!!!! Ooooo in time for Christmas too! What a lovely gift! cbeebies how big was DC2?
Thanks london I was hoping it would have been last night, but even after convincing DH to help things along still nothing, was up a 4am with contractions followed by nothing again - she's a little nout this one! Lol xxx

CorporeSarnie · 04/04/2014 12:28

mabel, joining you on the excessively teary sofa. DH's cousin just posted this on her fb link, I knew I shouldn't look but I ended up in floods at my desk!
fod sorry you're still waiting, hope you've got plenty of good TV and company to keep you going.
JBrd, that was incredibly thoughtful of you. I remember feeling hurt but happy for them when I heard about the (many, many) new pregnancies and babies in the time between MC and BFP. I didn't tell many people, but in our NCT group there have been 4 MCs, one baby and (now with me) 2 pgs since 2011 that I know of. When one of the ladies emailed me personally to let me know about her 12week scan, I cried, railed about 'why me', and felt very sad, but ultimately I didn't want her baby, but my own. And I was very grateful to hear that way vs. FB or a round robin, so I think getting in touch so that your firend can take it in in her own time is just the right thing to do, even if a public announcement feels right.

CorporeSarnie · 04/04/2014 12:37

fedup sorry I left my computer idle for a bit & missed your post, congratulations!!!

squizita · 04/04/2014 12:39

Fedup- great news! :)

After a 2 hour backlog of a wait, it's all good for me too. Normal looking with a hb at 17 weeks. Super!

On my ancient fone so will check thread properly later! :)
