Thanks all
it really does help to share things xxx.
I'm not on the stats list either, so will update in a second so that it doesn't get jumbled in with my post.
Mabel I've been pretty teary all the way through too, which is very out of character for me, I also felt completely shattered and unmotivated all through the first trimester, and it did seem to peak at 9 weeks ish. As Tea said, I think it does get better for most as you get into the second trimester and onwards. Hugs and hope you feel a bit better today.
KitKat if it helps, I didn't find out I was pregnant this time until quite a way through the first trimester stupid false negative test and I'm actually glad I didn't as I had all sorts of cramps, back pain, stomach pain, stitches, sharp pains, bleeding etc. They would have terrified me if I'd have known I was pregnant. As it was, we were on an extended holiday and I thought that the hotel had been feeding me gluten (I've got coeliac disease) so I kept getting the rage at the general manager and the catering manager, both of whom were very apologetic but insistant that they had been super careful and I hadn't had gluten - turns out they were right, oops!
. All of the pains turned out to be completely normal and nothing to worry about, I'm now 31+4
.
Mammy welcome, and how are you feeling? The scans sound very positive, and as I said to KitKat above, I and many others had pains all the way through the first trimester which turned out to be nothing to worry about at all. Being pregnant after a loss is a real rollercoaster of emotions and can be really difficult at times. Hang in there though, today you are pregnant and we are all here for hand holding and support.
Fod sending every kind of woo, vibes and positive labour starting thoughts to you for today, I can't imagine how frustrating and awful it must be
xxx.
Alb how are you feeling this morning? Would it be worth getting you midwife/GP to check for anaemia, blood clots/DVT as well as blood pressure? Other than that, could it be a trapped nerve? Is your blood sugar ok? Never thinks it's a pointless post, I think every one of us on here knows what it's like to panic over new symptoms/pains/issues cropping up unexpectedly, and as you said to me, we're all here to share. Hope you're feeling a bit better this morning.
pgchimp I'm not sure, our hospital says for any sudden unexplained changes in your baby's movements or pattern of movements, or any changes at all which are abnormal for your baby then contact them straight away. I would personally err on the side of caution and contact your hospital, but if it helps I'm 31+4 and about 10 days ago our baby started going wild and thrashing about, he was much more active than usual. I phoned the hospital, went in and he was absolutely fine, our consultant said he was probably just objecting to the lack of space and to getting more cramped! He's still thrashing about now.
