Thanks Baking! They've just told me it's not a UTI so I'm to go home and monitor the situation. It's either very, very early labour or just a phantom practice run. I have a feeling it's going to be like this for the next few weeks! Oh well at least I have time to clean the flat a few times over before he gets here...

LondonJen · 29/03/2014 11:06

Thanks Mabel Smile Wonderful news from you too! Omg I can only imagine how much your heart was going!! Brilliant result. I am glad you feel you've got a sticky bean now Smile

Oooo Fod, progress! Will have to dust my pom poms off!

Aww kjh I'm sorry you've got pains and hormones all bossing your body around hon, and then a trip to hospital, goodness! I hope you're feeling better soon x

Congrats Thunder that is brilliant news! I am so happy to hear it! Healthy baby girl what more could you wish for. Just lovely.

My nausea is rearing it's head again. I think it's very mean. I want to feel better now. DP was very cute this morning he told me he was very proud of me being pregnant (strange choice of words but I think I got the sentiment!)

squizita · 29/03/2014 11:34

KJ sorry to hear you're in pain. Glad the hospital sorted you out though. FX the pain won't hang around until due date and is a one-off!

Fod :) Mounting excitements for you!

Thunder Congrats :)

London I still have the odd sicky day, utterly random and it sucks. Hope yours passes quickly.

Waves to all.

No news here. Maybe, just maybe the start of a start of a real bump (when I suck my belly fat and bloat in there is a curved sticky-out bit raised by just an inch or so which is hard and in the right place). Not rushing out for any tent dresses yet though. Grin

squiz we should have a pregnancy modelling page where we can put in orders on maternity clothes from the graduates - practical and Eco friendly ;( xxxx

LondonJen · 29/03/2014 18:07

Thanks Squiz I've even gone back to being ravenous then half way through my meal not wanting anymore. Tis pants! Awesome curve news lady Smile

squizita · 29/03/2014 21:27

DT (T being twin) forced me to try on some Primark maternity jeans. They were v v comfy. I now have my first item of preggers-clothing. GULP.

It's better squiz than going round with the button of your jeans undone and risk flashing your arse to everyone

I have fished out the bigger bras and been wearing leggings under jumper dresses for last few weeks. Nothing remotely maternity is coming near me if / until I make it past 12 week scan. Although round my tummy! Like that idea fod

LondonJen · 30/03/2014 16:12

That's such a lovely milestone Squiz. I feel rotten today

ArkadyRose · 30/03/2014 16:57

I see some familiar faces in here! Hello ladies, looks like I finally get to come join you! We've been steadily trying for over a year since losing one at 12 weeks last year in January - my 4th MC after 6 weeks (I don't count the ones before 6 weeks otherwise I'd be into double figures Sad ), and finally got a BFP this weekend. If this one sticks then I'll be due in December - and I have the full-on mornibg (and noon and night...) sickness already, which is very comforting.

So hopefully this one is the sticky bean that results in a baby, because we've agreed that if this one doesn't stick then we won't try again.

polkadotdelight · 30/03/2014 18:04

Hi Arkady I've got everything crossed for you that you have a sticky bean. Congratulations!

fedupofrainydays · 30/03/2014 18:23

Hi ark I remember you from ttc thread! Congrats on bfp and hoping this one sticks it out for you

kjh5 · 30/03/2014 20:39

Ark! Welcome! I remember you from the TTC thread - keeping everything crossed that this is one sticky bean for you. Hope you have a lovely uneventful pregnancy!

I'm still here thunder no actual contractions today but plenty of BH and 'period pain' - general consensus seems to be this is false labour as it doesn't seem to be affecting my cervix at all. Trying not to be too gutted about it - I am only just 37 weeks tomorrow and it would be preferable for him to cook just a little more I have one happy, wriggly baby which is what really matters but I am feeling pretty desperate for him to make an appearance!

We have a few scans coming up this week don't we? Keeping fx for all you ladies, hope you have all had good mummies-to-be Mother's Day! x

fod27 · 30/03/2014 20:46

Well - there's been show after show after show - but baby is yet to make a appearance ;(

BobaFetaCheese · 30/03/2014 20:49

Ark, I've been here for a while and I'm so glad you're back. Hope you manage to stay on this side. Best of luck to you. xx

Congrats Thunder!!

hope you get moving soon.

My thread baby is 8 months old today

squizita · 30/03/2014 21:12

Getting excited at the idea of MOAR thread babies!

I myself managed to get myself in a tizz - came back from mothers day pub lunch to find police surrounding a house 2 doors down. Think it was an elderly person taken ill and their senile spouse going mad and barricading themselves in - police had to break in. Whole street was out, 10 police cars and a paramedic team. Shock
Of course brain switches to 'death' and start thinking "if I have a MMC in the 'glowy 2nd trimester' how would I tell?" in spite of the fact my body doesn't 'do' MMC. The mercy is, I suppose, painful and messy though it is I've always known what's happening as it happens (my only ERPC was for a rogue sac full of dodgy molar cells- still growing when removed).
Plus as DH says, no bad symptoms and very average good symptoms = if I hadn't had losses AND seen the hoo ha outside I wouldn't be fussed!

bakingtins · 31/03/2014 07:41

Can't be long now fod everything is gearing up for the big event.

MrsGiraffe12 · 31/03/2014 09:50

fod I'm waving my cervix dilating, contraction starting pom poms for you. We need another thread baby :-)

JBrd · 31/03/2014 10:12

Congratulations thunder lovely news!

Welcome arcadyrose I too remember your name from the ttc thread, great that you can now join us! And yay to morning sickness (there is no other place in life where you can say this Grin)

I think we need to update the stats soon...

fod and khj5 Lots of things happening at your ends, wishing you lots of patience! Hang in there, not long now!

Given the circumstances, I had a really nice weekend with DH family, celebrating MIL's 70th birthday. It was full on, lots of distractions. Plus, I walked miles and miles - the house we stayed in was set in beautiful grounds with a huge garden, and DS just wanted to roam around, bless him. Unfortunately, we couldn't just let him to his own devices, too many hazards for an just-under-three, like the empty swimming pool that was being renovated!
I am shattered today, in spite of going to be at 10pm last night!

I am just focussing on tomorrow now, not really thinking beyond that. DH is away, unfortunately, so I will have to go to the FMC on my own... I will ask for the Harmony test to be repeated, anything to avoid an invasive procedure!
But if the risk will not come down, then I will most likely have either CVS or amniocentesis, as I cannot cope with not knowing, I think.

fod27 · 31/03/2014 10:34

Thanks ladies! I've lost all patience now lol I may have to resort to a butter knife and some numbing cream ;0
