Stop knicker checking squiz your going batshit crazy again

MabelMay · 17/03/2014 22:37

Hi all

squiz - hope you're not too worried. That sounds like nothing to be concerned about - although I know that such a thing doesn't really exist for us ex-MCers.

With my two DCs I never felt my uterus moving and didn't feel any movement until around 18 weeks.

fod sorry to hear about your friend. That doesn't sound promising. They should be seeing something at 8/9 weeks... unless she got her dates wrong.

I went to the doctors. Not a UTI (which I suspected it wasn't anyway). Had my bloods taken and they're going to call back tomorrow to let me know the results. Praying (well, willing) that my HCG levels are high enough. But won't wait for them to call me. I'll be on the phone immediately as they're terrible at getting back/returning calls. Still haven't seen my doctor - he spoke to me on the phone and said he'd give me a progesterone prescription when I turned up, but never appeared, nor did prescription Hmm

The good news is - the spotting/discharge/tissue has stopped and I do feel a bit sick. So I'm allowing a tiny bit of hope to set in. Then I kick myself for getting hopeful. So I try to get my head in the space of thinking more negatively, so that - if it's bad news tomorrow - it doesn't come as such a shock/kick in the teeth.

blimey I wouldn't wish this early pregnancy rollercoaster after miscarriage on anyone.

MabelMay · 17/03/2014 22:38

I mean I never felt my uterus. FULL STOP. Not moving. (I should preview more)

MabelMay · 17/03/2014 22:40

I have 28 week appts today including anti-d, blood tests and whooping cough. I am going to feel like a pin cushion by the end if the day! I am planning to drive myself to the anti-d appt, anyone know of any reason I shouldn't?

squizita · 18/03/2014 09:51

Thanks fed up, alas I can't even blame constipation, which at least I could fix, but I haven't been blocked up. It's just baby weight plus probably low pelvic floor tone. crappy.

Got procto-something from GP this morning, and spending one hour in every six in the bath, which is easing the pain a bit. Tried frozen peas for 3 hours, but no joy.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 18/03/2014 11:33

I'm feeling like crap today :( I have a cold and am just exhausted. I'm meant to be taking dd1 to nursery in 2 hours but think I might just keep her home again. Both girls are still in their pjs and I can't work out if my waters are leaking or if I'm just coughing, sneezing and blowing my nose too much with a crappy pelvic floor! Blush I'm just feeling really sorry for myself today. :(

HopefulHamster · 18/03/2014 13:01

Hello, haven't posted for ages as I never got around to having a private scan so essentially have no idea if I'm still pregnant or not (for those who can't remember as I so rarely post, had an early scan at 7 weeks that showed embryo a few days behind but within normal, but I haven't had any symptoms). However my 12 week scan is next Thursday so I just have to somehow keep it together until then. Ack. I'll be a wreck next week.

I'm glad the feeling the uterus thing has been mentioned. I've been trying to feel mine as a way to find out if my pregnancy has been progressing, but no luck so far and I'm 11 weeks now. Should I be able to, do you think? I've previously had a c-section so my abdomen is a bit funny feeling around there anyway.

This is my last week on progesterone and patches though, so wahoo!

Hope everyone is well :)

CorporeSarnie · 18/03/2014 13:15

Get well soon cbeebies. If you're worried about waters, put a mat pad on - you'll be able to discern waters from urine by, um, 'scent'.

Well, I had the MC dream last night. In my dream I was staying at my DM's, which I haven't done since long before DD was born as DM is not one of life's natural housekeepers, bless her, and I don't want DD choking on dust bunnies. To compound my misery in the dream, I was trying to get DH to take me to EPU and he kept going on about taking the car to be washed on the way there. Woke up drenched in sweat and afraid to move to go to the loo or get water. Silly in the cold light of day but was terrified for a good while in the night.
Am so hungry, can't get enough salt and carbs - am 'craving' chips, salted caramel cake, crisps. Great nutrition for the sproglet... but it stops the nausea. Temporarily.
A milestone tomorrow: my MW appointment. Will only be 6+6, so hoping she won't just send me off with a bee in my bonnet (as the GP's receptionist booked it all for me), but this has all been so unorthodox so far, what with gynae-initiated EPU referral and scans, that I feel like I've already been pregnant for months.

fod27 · 18/03/2014 13:20

At GPs waiting for MW app, what do you think the chances are of her actually following through on her offer of a sweep

fod27 · 18/03/2014 13:22

cor I think we all feel like that sometimes perhaps it's because we know how quickly and how much things can change in a instant

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 18/03/2014 13:23

Make sure you ask for one fod, don't just wait for her to remember.

JBrd · 18/03/2014 13:27

Quick hello from me - I've been away visiting my mum in Switzerland for a couple of days, and I have not had time to read back and catch up with the thread yet.

Hope you are all feeling well, and hopefully you feel better soon for the ones who don't!

I need to go back to the FMC today for my second attempt at the Harmony test today. I really hope that the little bean has grown at least 3mm in the last week, so that they can actually do it! Having to go to London every week is time-consuming and expensive...

fod27 · 18/03/2014 13:31

Do you think she will give it?

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 18/03/2014 13:43

I don't know, my mw refused me one at 40 weeks but that was because I was already 6cm and I hadn't realised the niggles is been having were actually contractions!! Grin

LondonJen · 18/03/2014 13:56

Tea glad your pains are easing bit. Hope the GP stuff helps more.

Lovely pee tale Squiz I hope mine gets to wee all over soon too lol

Cbeebies sounds like a family pj day is the answer. Keep your fluids up if you can manage to get up Brew

Hia Hopeful not long now!

Would give anything for my scan date today. The postman hasn't even been yet (sometimes they don't come till 3pm) and even if we don't have post I know he's in the street because the dog goes mad at him. Can't even just relax and think it's not arrived today. Where IS he?!

fod27 · 18/03/2014 14:13

She didn't and won't until the 1st April! I've phoned PALs and put in a complaint
