Fod Good luck! :) Could be imminent!

Fedup Yes, it's on and off. :) Thanks. Just checking! Have found a £90 ultrasound clinic open 7 days a week near me. Can I make it till my NHS appointment (start of April) without cracking and rushing down there for reassurance? We'll see! Grin

Ooooooh fod thats exciting!!

fod27 · 16/03/2014 18:58

I hope so girls - can't bear another false start

fedupofrainydays · 16/03/2014 19:29

Good luck fod hope this is the time for you!

LondonJen · 16/03/2014 19:50

Glad all seems well Nerdy

Fedup if you feel less faint lying down it may well be low blood pressure. But I think it could just be that your blood volume has increased and you'll feel better/used to it tomorrow.

I hope you managed a nice dog walk Baking and Squiz that you're feeling reassured. I had a lot of sharp twinges last night that I think were uterus.

Woohoo Fod sorry it hurts but hope it's imminent baby news!

DP has now decided he doesn't want to do announcement that yesterday he was totally up for. Am put out as liked the idea. Not sure whether to just go ahead for my own mum and he can send his mum an email as per his latest suggestion (honestly.) He was so keen we told our parents in the same way but I am NOT telling mine by email. I think he means with the scan pic attached but even so. Bleeding numpty face. Angry

fod27 · 16/03/2014 20:05

Thanks girls

london I'm with you on this - yours is a much better idea

Alb1 · 16/03/2014 20:14

Nerdy I'm glad u got the all clear, hope ur feeling abit better this evening.

Fod hopefully this is the start for u! Good luck!

squiz mine are like that, twinges n strange pains but in no particular pattern, most of them feel like wierd pulling pains, mine start mostly after iv been climbing around at work (having to stretch over n climb over things in the store room). Iv also noticed that even tho I barly have a bump (16+1) I'm finding it much harder to get up off the floor cos I feel so heavy! It's so strange cos I don't look much bigger.

I have my 16 week midwife appointment tomoro, but I had to make my appointment for it at my booking appointment at 7 weeks n I was so convinced that I wudnt make it to this appointment that I jus took the first appointment there despite it being at a reallllly inconvenient time cos I jus figured it made no difference anyway cos I wudnt make it to it, great positivity there lol, needless to say I won't make that mistake again! I'm hoping I can convince her to listen to the hb tomoro cos although I listen with my doppler loads we treat it as a toy so I never time the heartbeat or anythin (don't wana self diagnose with it) so it'd be reassuring to no what I'm hearing is all healthy, but she said at booking they don't listen till 24 weeks here so wel see :-/

squizita · 16/03/2014 20:42

Alb interesting: I feel 'heavy' but have no bump. DH says he can tell there's a 'little sticky out bump' of an inch or so - which would look like wind but for the fact he's familiar with my body shape. He says it's warmer and firmer than my normal belly too.

OP posts:
Alb1 · 16/03/2014 21:36

My little bump is deffiently a lot firmer aswell, right up to my belly button now aswell, which is higher than I expected for this stage, but it's deff cos a lot firmer n higher this last 2 weeks, sooo hoping it turns into a proper bump soon, look so chubby at the min

MabelMay · 17/03/2014 00:56

fod good luck.
hello everyone else. I'm sorry if I'm not responding properly to other posts, I'm afraid this is a bit of a me me me one. I wish it weren't - because then it would mean I wasn't being given any reason to stress/worry.

I'm afraid I'm losing this pregnancy. Following on from loss of symptoms I am now experiencing brown spotting, pinky discharge, and there was more of that fleshy tissue in my urine this morning. If I still felt the PG symptoms, I might be less worried. Or if the tissue issue hadn't returned. But I'm preparing myself for the worst. I hope I can see someone tomorrow - but I'm afraid there's not much posifrickintivity going on with me today. I'm just gutted and feeling pretty hopeless about it all. So sorry for the depressing post.

If I lose this pregnancy it will be my 3rd miscarriage in a row, which means I'm starting to suspect something is up with me.
Sad

bakingtins · 17/03/2014 07:27

mabel sorry to hear you are worried again. Will EPU see you this morning? You are probably too early for a scan to be conclusive but they could check your cervix and do HCG bloods for you.
If the worst is happening (and I hope it isn't) I would really encourage you to save any clots or tissue for analysis and insist it is tested. You have plenty of time to then decide if you want to go down the investigation route as the rest of it is blood tests and scans, but the information if there was a genetic problem with the baby that caused a loss is invaluable. I had to pee through a sieve for days
I'm sorry that is probably adding to your upset at the moment, but don't want you to lose the opportunity. EPU are unlikely to encourage you to do this but they can and should test for you after a 3rd loss, if that is what is happening. Flowers

bakingtins · 17/03/2014 07:27

fod FX!

CorporeSarnie · 17/03/2014 07:53

Mabel, I am so sorry, hoping you are able to see someone today... Would the ED see you? I don't know how it works over there. Brown blood is old, when I had the early scan they did say they could see a bit more old implantation bleed material by the sac, and that I shouldn't worry too much if I had a small bleed, so it could be similar. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Alb1 · 17/03/2014 08:04

mabel thinking of you today, hope u manage to get seen by someone today Thanks

Alb1 · 17/03/2014 10:10

Well 16 week midwife appointment, whilst it was a big milestone for me, was very boaring, got to hear the hb which was nice, but it was a cover midwife with a student midwife who seemed very clueless so I assume is new, did blood pressure, urine Sample, hb, told me I'd decided to give birth in a certain birth unit (which isn't true, I'm new to the area n don't no what's even available yet, turns out there are 3 options, so I contested this) n then sent me off, all very quick n routein which is obviously good but got no chance to ask any of my questions, don't see them again for another 9 weeks Smile

Not heard anything from fod in a little while, fx that means things are moving along for her

LondonJen · 17/03/2014 10:23

I'm sorry to hear of your worries Mabel I hope you can get some answers soon to put your mind at rest. Will they scan you early on demand over there?

Alb fabby hb news yey! What a great milestone. Shame you didn't get to ask questions tho. Hope you're right about Fod!

TeaAndANatter · 17/03/2014 12:12

35.5 weeks, and woke up to the Grapes of Wrath experience. Didn't have piles with the others, but my God, I have my fair preggo share today.

Add this to my totally pulverised looking fanjo (not giving details online, but those in the know will probably guess what's happening to those bits), and I feel like one utterly unattractive mama. Can't bring myself to have sex anymore, even though I really want to, due to grimness of down there right now.

Sigh. Thinking of the toll on my body as my gift to my DH and baby to be.

squizita · 17/03/2014 12:38

Tea :( Sorry to hear about your Chalfonts (Chalfont St Giles - rhyming slang). :( :( Can you use the prescription meds whilst pregnant or are you going to have to put up with them for a few weeks?

Mabel FX for you.

Where is Fod? Gets excited

Alb glad you're appointment was uneventful in the best of ways. Grin

Still have limbo grumps. Had uterus pain for 1 minute today (well, muscles around it), had a little panic. Even though until proven otherwise it would be pain from it getting bigger not smaller!!!
Someone asked about my bump too- one of the few that know. Hmm I don't think they realised you don't get a bump until later, got me worried I'm too flat of tummy!

OP posts:
fod27 · 17/03/2014 13:01

mabel hopefully they can now investigate things further which means your twice as likely to have a positive outcome next time fx for you cxxx

Nope! Fod is still blimin here!! Grrrrr starting to suspect that this is a phantom pregnancy and that I'm just incredibly fat! Promise to post when I'm crowning to avoid disappointment

Pixielady83 · 17/03/2014 13:20

Dropping by to offer you a quick hug fod I know how frustrated you are feeling!! hoping it is soon for you. in the meantime Cake Brew xx

CorporeSarnie · 17/03/2014 13:37

squiz, after I went off on ML (at 36w when DD put in an unexpected early performance), one of the trainees in my department asked another member of staff "was there only one in there?!" I think that people have the image of a pg lady as someone with a 6mo-sized bump, early pg and term pg are a mystery to many!
fod I am keeping my fingers crossed for you that you'll get to meet mini-fod very soon.
tea I know nothing about piles, but I do hope you're able to get them treated soon - my DH had a shocking case (running-induced), which they banded off to cut off the blood supply. But not before he fainted in the hospital (thankfully I wasn't there to laugh my head off panic)

squizita · 17/03/2014 15:44

Quick worried moment; static electric shocks (the kind you might get off a car door or something). Had a couple today.
There's no risk is there? Or we'd be warned more? Just thought 'what if it messes with the hb'?? Hmm sorry I'm nuts.

OP posts:
fod27 · 17/03/2014 16:06

Thanks girls I really appreciate it xxx I have a MMC about a friend, she went for a scan today she's about 9/10 weeks they did a internal as she'd had a bleed - they couldn't find anything but have taken bloods. They came back at 31 I'm assuming that's her HCG level and have informed her it's low but that they will retest on wed (I've researched myself but as I don't know could you tell me if it's likely her pregnancy is viable)

MabelMay · 17/03/2014 16:28

bakingtins appreciate tips. everyone else thanks for well wishes and I'm so sorry not to name-check, I'm rushing this but I really do appreciate all your good wishes and tips/encouragement etc etc.
baking, i'm in US they don't have any such thing as an EPU sadly. but am booked to see nurse in an hour. although sounds like they're just going to check for a UTI. My ob-gyn is so unavailable. He's supposed to call me back but whether he will or not...

I have a scan booked for 11 days time - seems eons away.
After cramping and all the 'stuff' in the toilet bowl last night, everything seems to have stopped. So I don't know what's happening.

To whoever's got piles - sorry! I got this great cream for them once and I'll send the info when I can find it.

take care all.

Alb1 · 17/03/2014 16:34

Squiz I'd be very very surprised if static shocks cud do any harm, several of the plugs an light switches in my house give me static shocks whenever I touch them (shud proly get it looked at really) n iv never given it a second thought. Also I no it's not the same type of electric but tens machines proly use a higher electric charge n there safe in pregnancy so I'm sure it's fine Smile

fod sorry I don't no anythin about HCG levels so wudnt want to offer any advise there incase I'm wrong, but do u mean they cudnt see reason for the bleed or cudnt see the embryo or sack?
