I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Feeling pretty good today after sleeping 11-5 without waking up at all! Thank you Mr Codeine!
Ran a hypnobirthing workshop this morning which was lovely to do whole so pregnant.
Now dd is thankfully sleeping and I'm slumped on my bed.

Dd 2nd birthday tomorrow so we're off on an outing to the children's farm. Thankfully dh is coming too so I can rest sit in the cafe eating cake if I get too uncomfy! Dd is currently obsessed with animals so I think she'll love it.

Inglori0us · 17/03/2014 14:55

After the effort of going to ikea I now need to build and paint the sodding chest of drawers. Have washed some newborn clothes but have nowhere to put them away!!
My nesting is mostly shopping related. Went to Costco and bought shed loads of loo roll, wipes, kitchen roll, washing powder, crisps and food for the freezer. We are ready for the apocalypse!

HelenHen · 17/03/2014 16:49

The animal thing sounds lovely... Not the apocalypse so mu

HelenHen · 17/03/2014 17:15

Ch oh my god I hate my phone! Having a shite day! Washing machine died in the middle of a cycle... My clothes! I spent hours researching, ordered the one I want... For the wrong date, next week! As soon as I accidentally confirmed they sent email saying they can't deliver that date anyway so will ccontact me! Eh no!

Inglori0us · 17/03/2014 18:55

On no. At least you'll get a shiny new washing machine. Mine is rubbish and won't automatically spin. And it has no toddler lock!
Happy Paddys Day! I'm having a small Guinness later.

HelenHen · 17/03/2014 20:37

Thank you! :)I had a Guinness yesterday so may just wallow in self pity for tonight lol.

Looking forward to the shiny New machine indeed! Was gonna go for a lower end Bosch but think I'm gonna go for a 9kg hotpoint so I can just do one wash as week Grin

bopoityboo3 · 18/03/2014 08:28

how's everyone else finding their maternity leave? I'm only on my second day and already finding it kind of boring. I want my baby now please not in a possible 3-5 wks. I feel huge and the Braxton hicks are just getting on my nerves.

badfurday · 18/03/2014 08:35

Morning. This week and next week left of work. People keep trying to send me home, but I know I would be bored at home at the moment.
Feeling tired and my ribs are killing me! Not long now everyone!!
17 days till due date!

bopoityboo3 · 18/03/2014 08:56

Wow badfurday you're working close to your date! my work were getting very twitchy about me starting mat leave. Think they were convinced that my waters would break in-front of a class of teenagers.

Inglori0us · 18/03/2014 08:58

I don't finish work til Friday and even then I may do a bit more next week. Don't seem to be able to stop. Foolish behaviour as I went into labour the day I stopped work with my dd (at 37+4) so I didn't have any time to just chill. Taken the day off today though for dd's birthday. :)

NorthKate · 18/03/2014 09:23

Its my last day at work tomorrow and I can't wait!! Have been confined to my desk for months when I used to work on fishing boats collecting research data so a 9-5 desk job has been a bit of a shock to the system, can't say I enjoy it as much. I will be 36+3 so will hopefully get some time to relax, I have a stack of books waiting to be read which I shall be delving head first into as I know they probably won't get much attention after the baby is here! Also have a hair appointment booked next week (which is well over due!!) and am tempted to treat myself to a pregnancy massage. Anyone had any experience of them? Are they worth the money??

LastOneDancing · 18/03/2014 11:58

Bopoity - I'm in day 2 of ML too. I've just been MNing in bed all morning feeling like a useless lump. I feel should be doing something constructive!

I might make some scones and wash stuff.

I'm in awe of those who are working up til the very end, particularly with other DCs!

Inglori0us · 18/03/2014 13:20

Kate I had a pregnancy massage last week and it was so good I've booked again for Sunday. Well worth it. The lady comes to me house which is brilliant.

badfurday · 18/03/2014 17:37

I must admit it is a struggle. I am lucky enough to work as a med sec so desk job, and I actually work in the Hospital where I will be having the baby, so if anything does happen, I can walk down to maternity. I'd rather have more time with the baby than leave now and be a bit bored. Its like being in limbo at the moment. I cant quite get my head around maternity leave yet, its going to feel very weird :-/

bopoityboo3 · 18/03/2014 17:50

Lastonedancing I like the idea of getting some baking done maybe also some practical cooking to freeze. Though the sitting around mumsnetting all day does sound really appealing Grin

Inglori0us · 18/03/2014 21:27

First timers, enjoy the alone time! That's what I miss most I think since having dd, not the lazy beach holidays or going our boozing with mates. I hardly ever get any time on my own.

Thankfully dd is in nursery tomorrow morning so I get a bit of time to meet a friend for a coffee after the school run.
I'm compulsively making lists at the moment. Have my scan and consultant appts at the end of the week and

Inglori0us · 18/03/2014 21:29

...I've convinced myself I'll be booked in for cs. Although it's not what I want I'm kinda ready to just know what's going to happen and for it to be over and done with now. Baby is running out of time to move head down and is clearing a giant! Cs may well be the best move!

Inglori0us · 18/03/2014 21:30

*clearly.

HelenHen · 18/03/2014 21:56

Oh inglori0us, hope it's not a csection!

I've got my 36 week scan/con tomorrow so will find out what's happening. May also ask about the sex. Just realised I don't really know why I'm having so many scans and seeing cons. Need to ask this tomorrow!

I'm quite nervous though. I don't wanna be given a date Sad want a normal birth this time!

Inglori0us · 19/03/2014 05:25

I want a normal birth too but I'm worried it'll end in emergency cs. Baby is transverse/breech still and absolutely huge. My dd had shoulder dystocia and she was much smaller and I was 5 mins away from an emcs with her. Figuring I'd rather reduce the stress and just book the cs if consultant thinks that's best. I just want this baby out and healthy! Fed up of worrying.

Insomnia is back now I'm not taking the pain killers any more. :(

Inglori0us · 19/03/2014 05:27

Good luck with your scan Helen. Let us know what they say.

LastOneDancing · 19/03/2014 06:57

Good luck today Helen.

Inglorious, how big are they predicting? We were told our baby is about 7.5 at 36 weeks and they won't let me go up the MW led unit - thankfully everything else is straight forward.

HelenHen · 19/03/2014 08:07

Thanks both! Aw I hope it's not as big as they were saying! They predicted ds would be over 9lbs full term but he was 7lb2 at 42 week's! Apparently that's why I'm having extra scans this time but it doesn't make sense to me!I always go blank when they explain stuff to me and then I come away knowing nothing!

cheekyfunkymonkey · 19/03/2014 08:15

Can I join? Just started mat leave and enjoying time with dd. Getting tired now though. We have a scan next week to see if I need a cs(placenta previa).

HelenHen · 19/03/2014 09:01

Of course cheeky Grin

I had that worry too at 28 week's and all was fine at 32. Hope it fixes itself for ya. Ird not nice is it?
