I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

My SPD has started shooting down the tops of my legs Angry but on the up side as of 3:15pm today I'm now on maternity leave Grin

Inglori0us · 14/03/2014 19:07

My cough is hurting my stomach muscles so much and I have SPD hell too.

Fed up.
Last day at work on Monday. TFFT.

Vikkijayne2507 · 14/03/2014 20:51

Babys room is pretty much done apart from oh wants to do some paintings but all the practical stuff is no assembled. Pelvic bone is killing me and back ache made sleep very difficult last night. he feels so heavy all the time. 36 + 2 weeks still some way to go boo

HelenHen · 14/03/2014 22:40

Awww hope you all feel better soon! My cramps have become much more bearable! Been enjoying the sun. Ds has been a super napper this week (3-4 hours) so I've been able to sit out and put my feet up... Bliss!

It's paddys weekend though so prepar

HelenHen · 14/03/2014 22:42

Ing for the inevitable depression when I can't go home or get drunk or actually enjoy the bloody thing... Again!

Nearly there v

Inglori0us · 15/03/2014 12:53

Yep, not long Helen. I had a tiny Guinness last week. It was delicious!
My dd's birthday is tues so I have the outlaws coming tomorrow. Sigh.

Been to hospital this morning to get some proper painkillers as I woke up in total agony from earache. Got codeine now. Thank fuck. The pain was so bad I was vomiting. Feeling much better now though. Dh has taken dd out abdcirekavd putting my feet up.

HelenHen · 15/03/2014 13:48

Ah Guinness! That's what I'm missing! If the rugby is tight this afternoon I may well go into Labour lol.

Oh wow, that sounds awful! Glad you're feeling better! What was wrong? My cramps came back last night but were gone by the time dh fetched the painkillers!

Inglori0us · 15/03/2014 15:06

My sinus viral infection moved to my ear and it felt like someone was jabbing a skewer in there. The codeine is brilliant though.
Dh is out tonight and I'm going to go to bed not long after dd at 7.30 I reckon!
Was put on a monitor at hospital and it showed mild contractions but I think it's just Braxton Hicks. Hope so any way!
Midwives were lovely, they made me a cup of lemon tea. Bless them.

Misty9 · 15/03/2014 15:11

You poor thing inglorious sinus pain is awful :( glad the codeine is working though. Did the midwives say the mild contractions were braxtons? When I went in for monitoring they said I was having braxtons but not contractions...

Feeling a bit fed up today; lots of things I'd like to be sorting but I just can't quite be arsed. Every time I do anything I'm just reminded of how uncomfortable I am Confused sleeping is becoming bloody unbearable too with heavy bump and SPD pain. poor ds is ill again so a peppa pig marathon is underway :)

LastOneDancing · 15/03/2014 15:29

Sorry to hear people are feeling crappy. I'm not too bad today except for the baby lying really heavily to the left. I'm lopsided!

We've just fitted the base and seat in my car. As I stood back to admire, I had a sudden realisation that in a few weeks there really is going to be a whole little person in that seat and it's my job to take care of them...

I think I'm in shock Blush

Inglori0us · 15/03/2014 15:52

Misty the doctor wasn't too bothered about the contractions as they were so mild. Just said come back if they get worse, waters break etc. Baby is transverse so if waters break it's risky for placenta.

I know what you mean Last I've been focussing so much on no longer being pregnant and not suffering all this pain and discomfort that I've hardly thought about the actual baby being here!

I'm holding out til end of next week as I have another growth scan and then consultant appt which may be when a plan is devised for induction, ECV or CS. I just want to know now and if I need a CS then so be it. At least I'll know and I think that'll help. I have mixed feelings as this is definitely my last baby. I can not go through this again!

BlessedAssurance · 15/03/2014 18:19

Poor youinglorious hope all who are feeling crappy are getting better.
Last you made Grin because i felt the same way a few weeks back. We got the car seat and i was looking at it and thought, holy molly, i am having another tiny human being who is going to be joined to my hip ALL the time. By then it was too late to backtrackSmile. Now i am really excited to meet my baby, however i am anxious about the birth and labour. I don't do pain that well.

Inglori0us · 15/03/2014 22:00

Ah Blessed you'll be fine. It's such a short term ordeal in the scheme of things and there's always the good drugs!!
I'm perversely looking forward to labour as the last 7 months have been monumentally shit, and labour will mark the end of the Pregnancy From Hell.
I said to my DH the other day that it's been like a torturous prison sentence of pain, exhaustion, discomfort, boredom and worry for months, and labour will be like the final hurdkr before I get my boy and then my health and life back. The last bit will be hard but it'll be worth it to have my baby boy and then NEVER BE PREGNANT AGAIN!
And have a massive wine!

Inglori0us · 15/03/2014 22:01
  • hurdle. Poxy autocorrect.
Vikkijayne2507 · 16/03/2014 00:31

hey misty are you due same or close to me 36 + 4 weeks as it's past midnight. I am having same trouble sleeping heavy bump and spd and back pain bed is the most painful place which is ridiculous and pissing me off.
I have a lopsided bump last when I have braxton hicks it looks so Werid and distorted he's head down back to belly head to my right as I look down.

Misty9 · 16/03/2014 00:41

Hi, yes vikki we're due same date, though as I've tried to tell family, that date means squat!

I too have very weird shaped bump during Braxton hicks and she's lying head down, bottom towards my belly. Currently sitting forward in bed as lying back is too uncomfortable. Might attempt sleep soon though. On plus side, lying on my right side doesn't seem to induce instant heartburn at the moment so i have a choice of dead hips/legs

Vikkijayne2507 · 16/03/2014 14:18

very true misty especially with first babies ah well. I have been having lots of twinges yesterday and today so I'm hoping body is gearing up for the event just getting ready weeks in advance.
36 + 4 weeks

BlessedAssurance · 16/03/2014 15:01

I was just telling DH that i don't understand the human race. I went to church today and i couldn't believe the number of people that commented on me still being pregnant. I just think it is rude. Obviously my huge bump is in your face and you have the nerve to comment " are you still pregnant"?.

Some close friends have started calling as well asking if the baby is here. As if i could have the baby and keep mum about it for weeks, or even days. I am getting irritated and if another person asks me again i will not tell them when the baby eventually shows up. My hero is my DM who will never push or bother me. She asks how i am doing and gives advice only if i ask. The rest of the world are bonkersSmile.

HelenHen · 16/03/2014 16:07

Blessed just say 'what baby?' Grin

I did an inglori0us at the park this morning and fell off a roundabout! Was more of a roll than a fall and onto woodchip but it was really embarrassing cos ds was on my knee and I brought him with me and everyone was staring!

Inglori0us · 16/03/2014 16:19

Oops Helen are you ok?
My DM bought dd a doll for her birthday. She's carrying it around everywhere calling butcher baby, bless her. So sweet.
Inlaws came for lunch and stayed for 5 hours. They've gone now. Thank god.
Blessed yes people are rude. I'm just in Smile & Nod mode now as I can't be arsed with it. Mil and sil both said to me today "you are huge". Well what do you expect????

Inglori0us · 16/03/2014 16:32

Butcher? No! That's just creepy. Billy baby!

bopoityboo3 · 16/03/2014 19:16

Ah blessed I hate that! that's why this time round we have been really vague about the EDD as I went two weeks over last time and the constant questions from well meaning friends/ family old lady who runs the corner shop drove me insane. We've only told my mum and dad this time as they are needed for childcare of DD.

BlessedAssurance · 16/03/2014 20:18

Helen are you alright? Smile and nod does the trick but the touching and caressing is getting to me too.

Come baby come..

HelenHen · 16/03/2014 20:25

I've been vague about edd too cos it means nothing really, I just say mid April!

I'm fine thanks, I fell about a foot! It was more embarrassing than anything as people watched the pregnant woman and toddler roll onto the ground... I heard some 'ooohh's Blush

First thing mil said to me today was 'oh your bumps dropped a bit'. I just said yep and changed the subject... Fuck off! Grin . Then dh started going on about how much it kicks, I've already told him to stop that.

Misty9 · 17/03/2014 14:37

How's everyone doing today? Bump is feeling seriously solid and heavy these days and I can't quite believe there could be another 3-4 weeks of feeling ever bigger and more uncomfortable.

I've started washing the baby clothes and bedding; is this nesting? Grin getting a bit excited about having another now and trying to ignore what has to come before newborn cuddles
Can't wait to see the newborn sized nappies on the line too.
