I have 39 days left (AND COUNTING) until my planned cs on 11th april

I am fat, fed up, knackered, aching, heartburn-ridden and absolutely DESPERATE for the baby to be out. this will be dc3 and deffo my LAST

anyone else got a similar amount of time left and want a thread where we can share the joys of the final stretch of pregnancy

currently todays bugbear is my needing a wee constantly, which will no doubt keep me up all night again

Thanks all... He just rang to kinda apologise and explain how he's stressed... Whatever! He asked what needs to be done at the weekend and I said nothing, none of it matters... Then he listed all that needs to be done and said he'll do it... Yay for reverse psychology Grin

Oh Bopoity ya poor thing Sad us know it will probably sort itself out though, right?

HelenHen · 20/03/2014 09:46

Caipirinhas just for a day I might say yes but it depends how I'm feeling, make it clear he mat have to cancel last minute!

Oh I made a gp appointment for Monday so they can check the heartbeat and see if all's ok then, maybe I should make one for Tuesday too Grin

CaipirinhasAllRound · 20/03/2014 09:57

Good work Helen!

I've just had a GP appt as I've had a spotty type rash on my face that's been spreading. He's said I have 2 different types of rash, one just needs moisturiser and the other one round my nose and chin is fungal - oh how lovely!

BlessedAssurance · 20/03/2014 10:47

Iwant yey.Grin keep us posted.

LastOneDancing · 20/03/2014 10:51

Pregnancy is just gross isn't it?! I thought it would be all wafting about looking bumpy and glowing but it's all squeaky hips, dry skin and fungal rashes... I feel cheated!

My friend is training to be a photographer so came round to do a bump shoot for her portfolio this morning... She's got her work cut out. I believe heavy photoshop may be necessary!

Inglori0us · 20/03/2014 11:27

Haha Last what a nice momento though. I have stretch marks now. Nobody wants to see that!
I'm currently in McDonalds eating chips and drinking a huge Sprite. Got my scan in an hour.

Well done Helen. My dh has a constantly evolving list of jobs to do. He's not moaning too much. Yet.
Dd has her soft play party on Saturday so after that the baby is welcome to come!

BlessedAssurance · 20/03/2014 12:20

LastSmile all lies. My skin is so dry, from my crotch to my neck i have the darkest skin ever whilst my hands and arms are almost white. I look weird. When i apply lotion on my face it is not working at all. However i still wear my size 8 jeans, mama jeans and all the weight is on my tummy thank God. However when pregnant with Dd i had men hit on me, not even jokingGrin. Iwould take that any day over looking like shrek's bride.

Vikkijayne2507 · 20/03/2014 12:32

my stretch marks are increasing above my hips. I am fed up of lack of clothes I can wear especially as the weather is getting warmer here I look huge in everything and weight is starting to build up on my arms probably as I can't walk as much now so harder to keep weight off. oh well im hoping lots of walks with buggy will help

badfurday · 20/03/2014 12:33

Feeling really weird today. Have my "leaving do" tonight from work. I have just met my temp replacement and feel like a spare part :-(
She starts on Monday and seems lovely. But she will be sat at my desk doing my work while im still here. I have been told to let her get on with it, which is fine, but im still working next week. Anyone else finding it hard to let go? I know once badfurdaybaby is here I will be fine, but feel kind of in limbo at the moment.

Inglori0us · 20/03/2014 13:41

Bad I've been resisting maternity leave too. It's hard to let go.
Blessed My skin is so manky. I'm very olive skinned and have developed weird very dark pigment patches on my face. And random dry blotches.

Vikki my bump is so big I've had to put away most of my maternity jeans and I'm living in leggings. I hate leggings. I want to burn them after this baby comes.

Just had my scan. Baby is still huge. Estimated weight is 8lb and he's totally transverse so unlikely to turn. Bollocks.

HelenHen · 20/03/2014 14:05

Ah no inglori0us! Have they made any suggestions or do you have to go back?

Well for what it's worth, I AM glowing... Full of energy, Hair shiny and fab, skin just perfect, bump teeny and losing weight everywhere! But my body isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing by supporting the bloody baby Blush

Gimme dry skin and normal amniotic fluid any day Smile

bopoityboo3 · 20/03/2014 15:10

Thanks Helen, I do know that he will probably turn and it'll all be fine but that little niggly voice in the back of my head wont shut up. Glad to hear your OH has pulled his finger out today and apologised.

Inglouri0us hope they gave you some suggestions to help get him moving, are you already booked for a cs or are they waiting to see what happens?

Bad I've been finding it hard to let go with the whole maternity leave thing. I've almost managed it now though I've not got round to turning the emails from work off on my blackberry so am still getting whole staff emails about what is happening in school this week etc. I have, however, managed to resist emailing my 6th form students to check that they are okay and that my cover is doing what I asked with them. Though I am very tempted to get them to send me copies of their latest essay's just so I can give them a quick once over.

Inglori0us · 20/03/2014 15:29

I'm seeing my consultant tomorrow and he'll either book me on for cs at 39 weeks or just ask to see me again at 38 weeks. He's quite laid back about the baby's size and always tells me 75% of breech babies turn on their own. We'll see.

Hope you're ok Helen.

badfurday · 20/03/2014 15:31

Glad to see it's not only me who finds leaving a bit strange. I hope I leave next Friday and have babybadfurday on the Monday, ideal scenario!
I'm sure we will all feel entirely different when we are due to go back to work after maternity leave! Grin

CaipirinhasAllRound · 20/03/2014 15:53

I finish work a week today and can't wait!

I can't bear to wear my maternity jeans anymore either and am also now just in leggings and am rotating 3 dresses.

LastOneDancing · 20/03/2014 16:12

Caipirinhas Grin I ended up in the same 2 tops for work everyday in the last tri! I looked rank. Even maternity stuff is getting a bit short - nobody needs to see my pooh bear belly peeking out, and certainly not while im trying to be competent and professional. It's not cute.

I'm sure you have researched to death Inglorious but... have you had a look at spinning babies website? Something about draping yourself over the sofa backwards to turn them?

Vikkijayne2507 · 20/03/2014 16:20

I had the tour of labour block and rooms the next day. It was really good but lots of walking my leg is killing me well groin pelvic bone area. It almost feels a numb to the touch when I went to the loo. don't know what that's about.

37 + 1

Inglori0us · 20/03/2014 16:37

Yes I've tried the Spinning Babies positions but now I find everything too uncomfy or just painful. Even bouncing on the ball hurts my hips and pelvis. I think there's just too much weight bearing down now. The baby's head is on the left side of my waist and the feet on on the right. Properly sideways!

Inglori0us · 21/03/2014 07:39

How's everyone today?

IWantAnotherBaby · 21/03/2014 08:29

Baby girl arrived exactly 24 hours after waters broke. Labour did not start so I went into hospital at 9 hours, and the foetal trace looked dodgy, so I stayed on a monitor in labour ward rather than be sent to a ward. Trace never looked any better for any length of time so eventually started syntocinon at 10:30 PM and then progressed Quickly and painfully. Only used gas and air which worked brilliantly for me; still agony, but just bearable. Turned out the dodgy trace was because of a true knot in the ridiculously long cord (over 1m cf normal of approx 60cm)!

Baby lovely, now asleep on my chest. Needs 4 hourly obs because of prolonged rupture of membranes, then home this afternoon! Can't wait to see my older 2 children...

Inglori0us · 21/03/2014 08:37

Awww! Congratulations!! So pleased (and a little envious!). Glad she arrived safe despite a bit of drama. Rest up and enjoy your tiny! xxxx

HelenHen · 21/03/2014 08:44

As ccongrats, that's great news! Have you got as Nan yet?

HelenHen · 21/03/2014 08:45

Lol sorry... A name! My phone is making as right idiot of me!

BlessedAssurance · 21/03/2014 08:52

Iwant congratulationThanks. I amEnvy and Grin at the same time. That was super quick and sounds like it went really well. Well done you and give an extra cuddle to your little one from me.. Glad she is alright after that bit of drama..
