i was told at my recurrent mc clinic last week, that the heartbeat is the most important thing to see - so you should be really pleased - i was and still keep thinking about that tiny beat inside me. i'll be 7 and half weeks 2mrow.
i remember when i mc at over 10 weeks, telling a friend before it happened that i just didnt "feel" pregnant any more - personally - even as im sitting here typing - i can "feel" my stomach is pregnant if you know what i mean.

weewilliewinkie · 14/11/2006 15:28

just popping by to say hello..I'm back from my hols which were great...lovely to see so many new folk here although I haven't had a chance to read through and catch up yet...congratultions all newbies! You've found the right thread..

Suffering pretty badly with SPD, finding walking and moving particularly painful. My mw is getting me one of those support belts so hopefully that'll help. Impossible to rest with a 2.9 yr old ds running around...

Also, had Hypnobirthing classes when I was back, very interesting and helpful. Anyone have any views/experience of it?

Hope everyone is keeping well...any news from mygirl?

Hi there all you new mum's to be , Don't we all have a diffcult time, with all our unavoidable worrying and stressing it is a shame we can't just all enjoy our pregnancies. I suppose it is natural to be worried about every little thing especially when so many of us have had mc's. Daisybump - I would worry about your lack of symptoms they do seem to some and go. I mentioned this to my consultant and he said there was nothing to worry about, sometimes the hormones are higher than others and differenr increases indifferent hormones lead to different side effects, I am sure you will be OK. Justbeme - I know exactly what you mean about "feeling" pregnant. I just wished I could allow my self to believe it. I got a heartbeat on Saturday I was so thrilled but it took me 2 days for it to really sink in. I had better get back and do some work, nearly time to go only 1/2 hour. Then over to the gym for 30 mins of light excercise. Can't wait until I am 6 weeks, my next milestone.

oinker · 14/11/2006 17:21

Thinking of you guys...

Keep up the good work.

)))))))))))))))HUGS((((((((((((((((((

Daisybump · 14/11/2006 17:59

Sunshyne...I take it you mean that I shouldn't worry????
Some of the other ladies on the June ante-natal club thread are at the same stage as me and starting to feel better so I'm a little reassured. It's so difficult though after two previous m/c. I just wish I could relax a bit more. When I had DS the thought of a m/c never even ocurred to me...now it's all I think about. My scan is only three weeks away so hopefully I can relax and enjoy things a bit more after that.
Thanks for your words of support

Hello - This is Mr Two cats here.

Yesterday, November 14th, at one minute past eleven at Bath Royal United Hospital, Edie was born. She weighs (or weighed) 7 lbs 14 oz and is gorgeous.

It was a bit of a heavy process for Mrs Two Cats, we went in to Bath on Monday as she was 12 days past the due date and although a week or so back things had seemed to be getting set to start nothing had changed since then.

We were offered induction, and although we knew the issues that can arise decided that we felt happy with the care offered so started with application of Prostaglandin at about 4 pm on Monday. Further applications the next morning and early afternoon.

Mrs 2Cats had twinges that weren't really contractions through that period but nothing seemed to be changing until about 4 or 5 when she got a lot more uncomfortable and it turned out that she had dilated rather swiftly, so it looked like things were going ahead well.

However, her contractions were really painful and failed to move the baby much, so we finally decided to go for the help of a ventouse to try to help. The spinal injection (not an episiotomy) relieved her pain but she was still unable to move the baby, so we moved onto a C-Section and minutes later Edie appeared in fine shouty order with an APGAR score of 9.

This may sound like the horror story of being forced on the mechanised surgical conveyor belt, but we were sympathetically advised all the way through, and the fact that Edie seemed unable to get through the birth canal without a great deal of distress to mother and baby seemed to vindicate us finally settling for the C-Section. The staff in the operating theatre were brilliant and talked us through the process. Thanks to the anaesthetic, Mrs 2Cats changed from a person in pain to someone intent on performing a stand-up (well, lying down) routine while everything went on!

She's still in Bath Hospital tonight , we're hoping to move to Frome Hospital tomorrow for more recovery from the operation and to do further work on breast feeding which seems to be slowly starting to work for both of them. Edie is a lovely, calm little thing.

Hope that's not too much information!

We are both happy as a cat with 2 tails and really looking forward to all being at home and hunkering down for the winter!

And 2Cats herself is really looking forward to catching up with you all when she's back - hopefully this weekend.

oh, what a lovely story, congratulations! I'm a hormonal wreck and blubbing my eyes out. Hope mum and baby are well, good luck with the next few weeks.

time4tea · 16/11/2006 08:35

hello Mr 2Cats, great news, welcome to the world to Edie (great name!) and pass on the Tea family's congratulations to 2Cats!

This is just the kind of birth most of the people in my NCT group had - some people were really disappointed not to do the whole birth thing as planned, but I had a cs and really thought it was great. the main thing is to have a lovely baby at the end of it! I'm so delighted for you.

It is pretty tiring though to do a big labour and then have a cs to recover from, make sure 2Cats takes it really easy...

so glad for you, this has made my day

hoping also that your cats are pleased XXXX

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TWOCATS FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(still got a small mountain of baby girl clothes up to 12m - if you're not already overrun with small clothes I'll drop them over to you sometime. Let me know if and when, no rush, have a gorgeous time with your little Edie!)

wools · 16/11/2006 11:30

Have been keeping mt eye on this thread hoping for good news. Huge congratulations to Twocats and Mygirl - I am so pleased for you both. Glad you had a good birth mygirl - sounds fantastic. Twocats - hope you make a swift recovery - sounds like you gave it everything you had. Definately a year for girls I think.

littlefrog · 16/11/2006 11:45

Many congratulations twocats and mygirl! Two lovely new girls! You must both be pleased as punch.
Hope everyone else is well and happy - especially all the newbies. I was really unhappy for most of the first 3 months just from fearing the worst all the time, and knowing there was nothing I could do about it. But have just had the second (20 week) scan today, and apart from a low placenta and a baby with a big head, all seems to be well. I don't think I ever believed we'd get this far!
Love to everyone

Slinkstar · 16/11/2006 12:17

Well Done TwoCats and Mygirl...hope that cot is now well and truly built up!!

I had a scan today....couldn't wait another three weeks for my dating scan so went private and it was great. We have a lovely big jumping bean, with a nice strong heartbeat and everything looking pretty much as it should The radiologist was great, and talked us through how the bean is developing and we got lots of photos. Apparently I'm just lucky that my ms symptoms have gone this early...I should count my blessings. She did change my dates though based on bean's crown to rump length and put my EDD three days earlier than thought...so 15 June here we come.

Congratulations firststar....you're not alone sweetie, I've had 2 m/c in the last year and have been very stressed out by all of this and looking for problems where none appear to be. Good luck for this one and remember there are lots of us out there to talk to if the need arises. This thread is great for the success stories and keeping body and soul together.

Sunshyne · 17/11/2006 16:28

Glad to hear that Daisybump, must be a weight off your mind. It must have been an amazing scan, you must be around 10 weeks, did you get any definition on the scan? Fantastic news about the heartbeat they always say how important that is. Sounds like everything is going well

typhoonsmum · 18/11/2006 09:56

Hi everyone. Got BFP 5 days b4 AF. That was two days ago. Had M/c in May(8/40 anembryonic) and August (6/40 Complete). Still very scared. This is my third pregnancy in a year. It is alot for my body to cope with. I am praying this one goes the distance. I feel more symptoms than I did with the one in August. So heres hoping
