CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 12:31

Penguin with both my girls the 1st and the 3rd trimester was where I went BSM convinced something was going wrong. With this one I'm the same :( I've barely bought anything (bar 1 sleep suit which is 6+ months and 4 vests!) and can't bring myself to, despite going out on specific hopping trips. I'm convinced my waters are peeking (they're not) and the baby is going to be still born. It's so redicilous, but I can't seem to snap out of it!

In other words, no you're not on you're own!

Saggy, I also cluster post because my brain is a sive!

JBrd · 02/03/2014 12:31

Good to hear that things have calmed down for those who were worried yesterday! It's a scary world out there!

Pixie Go and have a glass of wine, it won't do any harm!

I had panicked slightly about a temporary loss of symptoms (read: sickness), but guess what - it was, well, temporary Grin Feel like death regurgitated today, yay!
DH is back, and what a relief. He is cooking lunch at the moment, which is fab.
Although I have yet to make him see that getting the Harmony test done would be a good thing, he's not convinced. I think I will have to use emotional blackmail show him some scary statistics to get my point across... Which will bring us into the difficult territory about what to do if they find something wrong, sigh.

GuffSmuggler · 02/03/2014 12:39

Happy due date pixie! Grin Grin Grin Am willing those labour vibes on for you

fod27 · 02/03/2014 12:40

Mrs G and lotty and all other ladies considering celibacy until their DD there's always other options you could consider taking 'the dirt track' or mutual masturbation? Orrrr .... I find this one very effective - satisfy DH (however you see fit) then later DIY - he will be wrapped with guilt and worship you for the duration of you pregnancy

Really pleased that those of you at panic stations are in much better places today

I've decided now that all symptoms are psychosomatic - therefore until I'm ready to push or there's a gushing between my legs I'm not convinced I'm on the cusp of anything - it's a roller coaster

fod27 · 02/03/2014 12:41

pixie you however should be bonking like mad!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 12:44

Pixie a glass of wine will induce labour!! It's Sod's law, you don't touch a drop all pregnancy, then have 1 glass on due date, in fact barely have 1 sip before waters gush and you and dp end up in delivery reeking of alcohol!! Do it.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 12:48

Anyone know how I can raise my blood pressure? I have VERY low blood pressure at the moment, midwife's aren't worried in fact sag low blood pressure is good, but every time is stand up I faint even when doing if slowly :( or in stages. I can't walk for more than 60 seconds without needing to sit and can only just about crawl up the stairs.
I feel like crap and jugs want to feel normal again.

SuzyBean · 02/03/2014 12:49

It's not looking good for me ladies. I woke up this morning with more cramps and proper bleeding.
I've gone to A & E and they have been brilliant. I've had an internal exam and the cervix is still closed which is a good thing. But they couldn't do a proper scan, they've used a little portable scanner but couldn't see much, just what they think is a gestational sac. They're saying it's fifty / fifty but I think that's a bit optimistic. It's looking like another mmc. Sad.

It's so frustrating to get so close to that elusive twelve weeks.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 02/03/2014 12:53

Yay Squiz no bleeding! Smile
Fod DP and I just managed it! Grin Grin

Nothings kicked off though! Sad

cbeebies I think salt is the answer (as far as I know)

oh suzy I hope it's not bad news...being in limbo is awful but try to stay calm and strong

fod27 · 02/03/2014 12:58

cbeebies I had that too and was told to eat small regular meals - have something you can snack on regularly
suzy I'm crossing everything for you! There's still a chance atm try to hang onto that

Hahaaa saggy give it time your uterus should drink be contracting post orgasm so ya never know cxx crossing everything for you huni

Pixielady83 · 02/03/2014 13:00

oh no suzy Sad will keep my fingers crossed for you, if the cervix is still closed that is a good sign surely? glad you're getting looked after, keep us posted x

thanks for the due date wishes ladies! just about to open the wine! fod you're the second person to tell me to get shagging, maybe the wine will help me feel a bit more up for that Confused DH and I have been joking about attempting 'hippo sex' (due to me feeling like an enormous hippo, not some bizarre fetish!) for a few days now but I can't quite bring myself to try... especially as he threatened to sing the theme tune to 64 zoo lane Angry Grin

pentagon they're talking about induction by breaking waters on Friday if my cervix is favourable... scared of induction but apparently things do move quickly after that so that's got to be a good thing? Confused

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 02/03/2014 13:01

CBeebies has anyone suggested a little more salt in your diet? It helps me when mine drops which it often does when not pg.
Obviously that's extra salt within reason, extra crisps, a bit more seasoning, not mainlined or anything! Wink And try and stay hydrated. We don't treat low BP in this country, they do in others. Annoying but probably safer in the long run.
I was talking to a mw about this last week. my BP was 60/40 at one point last pg. She didn't believe me! It's in my notes, but she reckoned id be dead! Confused
Anyway, that's my suggestion. Might be worth a go. They definitely suggest you cut salt out if your bp is high, so you never know.

Suzy Keeping fx for you. Hope it is the right 50 of the 50/50. Thanks

Cbeebies yeah crisps and marmite might help! Had low BP as a teen these 2 bad boys sorted it right out.

Saggy hope dtd sets things in motion. :)

fod27 · 02/03/2014 13:40

Hahaa pixie last time we did it we were lying on our sides, with DH coming in from behind - loads easier and I could keep the covers up! Hahaa

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 02/03/2014 14:08

Good on ya saggy enjoy the rest before Ryvita arrives, I wonder if it's a subconscious thing? Like your body knows that labor is imminent

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 02/03/2014 14:22

Nah! I'm just a lazy cow! Grin

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 14:32

Go with it saggy!

Hmm I'd heard that about salt but wasn't sure how true it was! Interestingly enough a few weeks ago I was craving them like noones business, eating 3 or 4 packets a day Blush I decided it was unhealthy and stopped buying/eating them! Every now and then I crave them but think, they're really unhealthy I'll have an orange/bannana/apple instead! Maybe I need to listen to my body more!!

Suzy, it's not over yet, hang in there rest up and try not to worry too much xx

LondonJen · 02/03/2014 14:57

Hey everyone

Sorry there was a lot of stressy moments for people yesterday. Hope everyone is feeling better.

Suzy I'm so sorry to hear your news but fingers crossed indeed and very pleased to hear you've had such good care in a&e

Cbeebies Yes my blood pressure is always low and the Dr has told me to have more salt. I often crave hula hoops when in need. Hydration too. A personal fave is whacking lots of Lurpack AND salt on steamed veg and potatoes. Salty cracker being quite good too. I did have a good link let me see if I can find..

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 15:11

Thanks London, I'll take a look. I just sent dh to the corner shop for a big multi bag of walkers and am drinking lots, hoping I start to feel better soon!!

fod27 · 02/03/2014 15:40

Ok girls my bump is vibrating! It's been doing it for the last 30 minutes - I'm really scared something's wrong - I've google but I can't find anything conclusive - any ideas?

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 02/03/2014 15:55

Hiccups? Baby gets them all the time here and it feels like it's vibrating sometimes?
