I am having trouble remembering Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 19:57

Over the past few days I'm getting regular BHs, got periody pains and occasional twinges but have no expectations of anything happening soon!

Tallyra · 09/03/2014 20:35

Wow you've been chatty today!
Lol to Eye of Sauron!! My belly button is pretty central but I'm loving how soft it is, I can spend ages just feeling it (am I weird?). I have started getting a linea negra now though and that is not central to my belly button which looks a bit odd.

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 20:39

Mine is like that too tally. So soft! Quite tender around it now too though.

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/03/2014 20:45

My linea nigra is above not below the bellybutton and not central either. When does it go?
In other hot fashion tips, today I am wearing a sainsbury crop top type bra in zebra print. I've got to be honest, it may be shit but it is possibly the most comfortable thing I have worn all pregnancy Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 09:10

Morning all

Ze-bra merk? see what I did there comfort is definitely the most important at this stage.

My LN is also at the top only. And very faint. And wonky.

38 week appointment today. And not a lot else to report.

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/03/2014 09:17

My 38 week app this afternoon too. Lets see if this one lasts more than 4 mins and if anybody wants to discuss my birth plan with me!
OH has man flu bless him. He wants a thermometer so he "knows why he feels so terrible". I told him gently he had a cold/cough but he clearly doesn't believe me!

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 09:30

Merk do you have a big book that they fill in and stick stuff into? Mines got a tab called birth plan and on the flow chart at the beginning the 36 week appointment says 'weight and birth preferences discussed'

Ahhh poor OH. What difference will it make if he knows his temperature?!

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/03/2014 09:50

I don't have a book, just notes where they write my BP etc. There is a leaflet that says what should be discussed at each appointment (eg 34 weeks breast feeding, 36 weeks birth plan) and I have a printed sheet of paper for my birth plan which is supposed to be written with and signed by my midwife. I'm not too worried, my birth plan is about four lines long and I don't really expect I need a signature to make it happen. Assume the midwives are totally stretched/busy hence not getting the time

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 10:17

Gosh isn't it different in different places? Are these the mws at the hospital that you're trying to avoid? I have a hefty tome that I need every time and has postnatal pages too. I even had to take it on honeymoon with me- it's now looking rather dog-eared.

Hope you have a good appt. guess you didn't hear any more about the protein/bp?

SidneyBristow · 10/03/2014 11:11

Happy Monday all,
just adjusting the list a little to show my EDD. Boring morning but I prefer it over stabbing pleurisy pain!!

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 16:40

Well baby not engaged over here but all else is 'textbook' so it looks like I should be grateful I don't have the discomfort of walking round with engaged discomfort for the next few weeks....

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/03/2014 16:51

Not engaged at all? My midwives were running 1 hour late!

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 17:19

Nope, still at the brim. Maybe I have a wonky pelvis too...?

Bunnygirlie · 10/03/2014 18:49

Anybody had that baby yet?!?

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 18:55
Tallyra · 10/03/2014 18:59

I need some baby news to cheer me up. Spent all day feeling sick after throwing up at 6.30 am. I've had enough of this. Just under 2 weeks left of work then I can sleep in and feel better.

CatsCantFlyFast · 10/03/2014 19:08

Tally poor you. I didn't realise you were ill again. Anything the docs can do?
No sign of baby here. Am SO tired today though, all energy has left the building. Am subsequently emotional and feel quite defeated. I know labour has to just start at some point, but I can't seem to see it happening any time soon

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 19:10

Oh no tally poor you. Can you not finish sooner- like now? Take it off as sick leave?

Sorry you're fed up too merk. I hear you on the tiredness. Still mentally set up for having a few weeks left over here though...

Tallyra · 10/03/2014 19:16

I'd love to start early but I had so much off at the beginning I'm not sure about that. I'm taking the meds if necessary but it's mostly sleep related, ie the more I get the better I feel.
Hugs to both of you, if you are anywhere near as tired and uncomfortable as me you must be getting pretty pissed off by now.

Thunderpantsarego · 10/03/2014 19:17

Can you look into it tally? You would feel so much better to take that pressure off and get more rest- sounds pretty important to me!

Tallyra · 10/03/2014 21:02

I don't think we can afford it either. I only do 4 days a week anyway, so I get a lie in on weds which helps.
