sid so pleased the doc was able to give you something and you are feeling better! Apart from the vomming of course.

I have been lucky so far, my nausea seems worse first thing when I don't have anything in my stomach, although dry heaving isn't much fun either lol

Will def stick to a pint or under of water, thanks ladies x

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/03/2014 16:45

Sid that's great news, so glad you're out of pain.

In laws have left, OH got a complete mouthful when he asked if I had had any more tightenings, along the lines of 'how am I supposed to relax and go into labour with your bloody parents here' but with a lot more swear words Grin
The pro epidural talk ("there's no reason to be in any pain nowadays") also included a forceps aren't bad talk...I wish I was better at letting these comments go over my head and forgetting them but they play on my mind for ages.
Anyway still something going on, feels like my body is trying slowly to get started. Bump feels very heavy, and I've got on and off backache. Am getting definite tightenings, nothing painful and nothing regular, but also have spent most of the day feeling like I need the loo when I didn't. So we may be progressing v v slowly. Or it may be nothing...keep your fingers crossed for things to keep moving and I will keep you posted if anything exciting happens

Nice one foody!! Am impressed with the pyjamas stake-out!

Arse re in-laws merk, hope they made themselves helpful tho? Just crap about the lecture on birthing when I'm sure it's bloody obvious that you will have made informed choices for good reasons.

sid that's ace news about bring pain free- thank goodness!

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 17:20

fx merk!
Last weekend we were round at my sisters as it was her DDs 1st birthday - My youngest brothers & OH (both about 25) were sat chatting about one of the girls she works with who is pregnant. Was really slaging her off for 'all these appointments she has been going to' and just kept saying if it was her she just wouldn't bother, woman have been having babies for ever, there were not always midwives etc, etc. So she does not know that I had a mc last year, but she knows my sister had one in between her two DC. She was not having this conversation directly with me but when she realised I was listening she just carried on and on banging on about how it was not necessary etc.
I so wanted to say something about her not having a clue what she was talking about and that there are unfortunately things that need checking/can go wrong etc, but I was afraid I would get too emotional and just come across as all hormones.
A week on and it is still playing on my mind and kind of upsets me that she was so insensitive stupid.

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 17:22

Cheers thunder I have been out, could not believe it was actually warm out there!!

Got back and found loads of bulbs in the back of a drawer (bought in October). I have planted them anyway, figure they will either make it or they wont, but they definitely wont make it in the drawerGrin

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 17:23

Yay for feeling better sid result!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/03/2014 17:32

Foody glad its not just me that replays things in my head

More plug gone just now. Had forgotten from TTC days what knicker /loo paper checking was like Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 17:38

Imagine if they did start to go in the drawer foody, that would be worth putting on Pinterest....

Sorry about insensitive woman's comments. Try to brush em off I think- not worth stressing about as she's clearly an idiot

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 17:42

ooh! merk all making me realise I really do need to go to birth prep classes, have no idea quite what you are meant to do when Shock

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 17:53

You can knicker check whenever you like foody Wink

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 18:00

cheeky

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 18:31
Smile
Bunnygirlie · 09/03/2014 18:45

Oooooh merk !

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 18:58

Random question -
How central is everyones belly button?
Mine is decidedly off to the right!

BlindKitty · 09/03/2014 19:08

foody your brother's oh sounds like a dumb-ass. Hopefully she won't be so irresponsible when she gets diffed herself!

merk did the pils turn up uninvited? Really think this thing needs nipping in the bud before they start turning up uninvited when the baby is born! Today my mil announced that she'd be coming around to plant some bushes in my garden soon! Have NEVER even hinted that I want this bit erm thanks for making me think my garden is bare!

So mil gave me a load of lovely (girlie) cardigans today that were dh's...which I very much appreciated but also found hilarious much to Dhs embarrassment!

BlindKitty · 09/03/2014 19:10

foody it's quite central but it's quite soft unlike the rest of the bump, making me wonder if it will be an outie some time soon!

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 19:11

Hmmm these in laws do sound like they're trying to help, but I agree that 'help' needs to be welcome/invited and at the right time, and OHs need to manage that.

foody mines about in the middle. Has yours always been off centre?

kitty ahhhh
HA HA HA!!

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 19:18

don't think I have really scrutinised it before now. baby seems to be spending more time over on the left side and that side of bump is a little higher & rounder I think.
OH thinks my belly button now looks like the Eye of Sauron!

CatsCantFlyFast · 09/03/2014 19:19

Soft is fine, that's because there's no baby pressing on it. But if baby moves to the centre then it will likely push your bellybutton out. A bellybutton on the side might just be baby being all on one side and pulling your skin off centre
No change here

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 19:20

kitty she is very young and very opinionated arrogant

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 19:34

Oh yeah I get that foody- one side goes in a bigger lump depending on where the baby is sticking out. Sometimes it feels like it is pushing outwards directly in the middle. My belly button is now pretty much flat.

merk still feeling like action may be imminent?

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 19:36

even when baby if still and quiet I am wonky. Not worried though, just curious Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 19:39

Yeah that would be right if your baby is lying on one side of your belly button wouldn't it? Does it feel more solid on the left?

Foodylicious · 09/03/2014 19:42

yep, I know that is where baby is hanging out most of the time! must be cosy that side Smile

Thunderpantsarego · 09/03/2014 19:43

Good place to be!
