treggings
For some reason I thought they were £95 so its a pleasant surprise to find they are cheaper than that. And that they come in other colours... tempting

CatsCantFlyFast · 28/02/2014 23:27

Just read the reviews for them an noticed some people said they stretch/go baggy. I will keep you posted but I will be surprised if they do as the fabric does not feel cheap. They are the only under bump trousers I have owned that don't fall down, so I'm surprised by the comments about that

BlindKitty · 01/03/2014 07:06

sid afraid I look like a floral couch cover most of the time haha! Once you're diffed you can't possibly look remotely sexy anymore! I have a party tonight and stressing about what to wear. I can't wear that lace number (in my fb profile) AGAIN, people will think its all I own because I practically do

merk I am suck of yanking up my nat jeans...so unladylike! I need braces!!!good job most of my tops cover my bum. It's not 'builders bum' it's just 'bum' most of the time Grin

thunder well jeal of the mat leave! What are you going to do with yourself? apart from post on mn Wink

Berries ahead of me - as your pregnancy has progressed, have your kicks got stronger / more frequent? She's still kicking but not as much as before. Do I just need a wang? I wondered, given that puppy said the same thing and our edds are close that the babies were just getting more cramped as they're getting bigger?

My friend gave me a shed load more stuff yesterday! I need to get her a thank you present, any thoughts?

OP posts:
BlindKitty · 01/03/2014 07:08

Merk - meant to be sick of yanking my mat jeans!

Kitty my movements turned from sharp kicks into slower, less obvious rolls and twists. Funnily enough over the last few days the kicks are back again

PuppyMummy · 01/03/2014 08:12

sid im so sorry but I just had a giggle at 'truly cute, well fitting maternity clothes'!!! Grin

good luck with that!!
actually if you dont mind spending the cash there is nice stuft out there but high street stuff is pretty pants fashion wise!

luckily I hav managed in big non-maternity jumpers and leggins and now its warmer a few mat tshirts (I like h&m). I do hav a few nice work dressses from new look and debenhams.

the worst thing is wearing the same things all the time!

BlindKitty · 01/03/2014 08:17

merk I prob just need a wang as I can still feel her. I've just counted 10 times in about 10 minutes so I'm sure she's ok. My mate told me to get used to all this worry as it won't stop now for the rest of her life!

puppy urgh trusty lace number again tonight then!

OP posts:
Tallyra · 01/03/2014 09:01

kitty, my movements have changed from kicks to undulations. much easier to concentrate with them ay work, and much more visually interesting too Grin

PuppyMummy · 01/03/2014 09:17

kitty sounds like it may be the trusty lace number!! I hav one nice black 'dressy' dress, luckily I haven't been out to many places requiring being very dressed up!

ah well! it will be worth it in the end!!

in terms of movement were back to twitching here. I never say kick. I really dont feel like im gettin kicked but I guess some must be! I get a lot of 'undulations' and mostly wriggles and twitches.

its hard to guess what is reduced movement cos there isnt really a pattern as such, he does tend to hav times when he is more active like in the morning and then at night but like the other day he wasnt doin much but now he is all twitchy again!

I want a scanner so I can just have a look and keep a check on him!

Bunnygirlie · 01/03/2014 14:05

Thanks all for your experiences and thank you prof merk for your explanation. I think we will stick with the just the NHS ones for now.
It's weird, if we were to find out baby had downs we wouldn't do anything drastic so do we really need to know for sure, who knows. One step at a time for now, let's just make sure that there is something in there at 12 weeks Smile

So all maternity clothes are crap, is that what we're saying here?

Lots of talks about kicking, when does that start? Half way?

My folks came over earlier, wanted to look at our bathroom suite, had a bit of a panic as had to hide the pee pot on the stairs and the maternity pack on our bed!!!

PuppyMummy · 01/03/2014 15:07

bunny I started feeling light twitches at about 18 ish weeks. not the 'flutters' that are spoken of tho!

the first ones felt like when ur eye muscle twitches and u cant stop it! But inside! Grin

Tallyra · 01/03/2014 17:12

Yep, 18-19 weeks for me and the eye twitch description is pretty good!

BlindKitty · 01/03/2014 18:28

bunny yep think it was about 18 weeks here too.
When are you going to tell your folks?

So lay on a bed in a b&b really wishing I wasn't here Confused. It's Dhs friend's 30th and I kinda know a few people but really really wishing I could have a drink to help me talk to people. Not usually so shy but dreading tonight. Already being antisocial by faking pregnancy tiredness and not going to the pub with everyone! Think I'm going to have to put on my fake smile and start getting ready grr

MotherOfCleo · 01/03/2014 19:12

bunny I was the execption to the rule and very lucky and felt my little man wriggle for the first time at 14 weeks. Grin I was so excited!!! I was being a total pig at work and had eaten a whole share bag of skittles to myself when I felt a movement, felt like a flip or a wriggle. rather than a flutter No surprise really as he was probably high on sugar! Then a few days later I was in the bath and felt it again, felt like he turned around or something. I miss it Smile

Bunnygirlie · 01/03/2014 20:57

Wow I can't wait for wriggles and eye twitches in my tum Smile

kitty hope you feel better and managed to go out and socialise.

You know how alot of us dreamt of a Christmas day reveal, I may have one better, just realised that a week after 12 weeks is Mothering Sunday, whatever shall I do with this Wink

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/03/2014 04:30

Moan alert... Have been awake an hour :( legs are aching and swollen (to match my hands) so have walked around the living room about 50 times. Seemed to make no difference so now back in bed going green with envy at DH's deep sleep!

BlindKitty · 02/03/2014 08:27

moan is it worth getting your blood pressure checked to rule out pre-eclampsia?

Sooo tired after the party last night. Seems I was just being a bit silly about the social thing and I did know quite a few people there after all. We're all former clubbers so the last hour was hard house. Never imagined I'd be dancing to hardhouse at almost 7 months pregnant and I don't think everyone there did either!

OP posts:
Tallyra · 02/03/2014 08:39

Merkin you are not having things easy Hmm. Does your mw know you are getting really swollen? It might mean early induction if it's serious which would help with everything else too?

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/03/2014 09:09

The swelling goes down as soon as I'm up and about so its not terrible. I will mention it to the midwife next week but doubt they will be interested.
I was just laid here this morning and realised, despite the sleeping and swelling and pain, that I am enjoying this bit more than any other time in my pregnancy. Baby is active and I can feel her wriggling all the time which is lovely, and I'm actually quite reluctant in a way for her to arrive as at the moment I'm enjoying having her all to myself! And most of the worry has gone now we've got to term. Glad to know there is a tiny bit of this I can actually enjoy Grin

PuppyMummy · 02/03/2014 09:09

merk hope you have had a lie in to compensate?

kitty you r so cool! my clubbing days are long gone!!

if we had a girl I wanted to call her Ayla after one of our favourite dance songs!! oh wouldnt let me hav that spelling tho cos its 'chavvy'!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 02/03/2014 10:10

Make room in the chopper Grin

Bunnygirlie · 02/03/2014 10:26

Whoop whoop!!!!!

Hope you are feeling better merk x

Thunderpantsarego · 02/03/2014 10:27

Budge up budge up everyone!

Sorry about your crappy night merk. I get really achey legs too but no swelling yet.... Can you get a nap today to catch up?

Mat clothes- I have been lent all of mine and to be honest I don't mind the lack choice- less to think about of a morning! Am living in jeans/little denim skirt and tops mostly

Tallyra · 02/03/2014 10:54

looking forward to our new traveller!!

So everyone has been telling me I need a body pillow especially with SPD. I started off using a spare pillow that wasn't too thick and thought it was working OK so I got one at Argos. its supposed to be great, between legs and under bump. but its waaay too thick. halfway through the night my legs are aching and bump feels squished so I just turn over and lean on it instead. Am I doing something wrong or is it just not for me?

PuppyMummy · 02/03/2014 11:07

ooh ooh! ive missed something!
