Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Foody, can you share the yoga link you liked? I've done quite a bit of yoga pre-pregnancy and think it will be really good once I start to get bigger. I think I have a very small proper bump now - not just bloating - luckily not obvious yet as we're not telling people until we get the harmony results! Bunny, I lost weight due to vomiting so am just creeping up past my pre-pregnancy weight now - my pregnancy tracker app reckons I should have put on 1-2 kilos by week 13.

jessplussomeonenew · 26/02/2014 08:25

Fx for your scan Sid - hope it brings you reassurance that this amazing journey is well under way.

Also Fx for your consultant appt Boom. Hope the twins decide head down is the way to go!

Merk, thanks for the reminder, clenching away! This pregnancy lark is so weird in what it does to our bodies!

Thanks for all your good wishes - am mostly ok though had a bit of a meltdown yesterday, probably entirely brought on by too much googling . 12 days to go...

jessplussomeonenew · 26/02/2014 09:01

Bunny, Sid, don't know if geography or funds permit but I just wanted to say that I wish I'd gone for the Harmony test and scan with the Fetal Medicine Centre straight away - for £400 they take the harmony bloods in week 10 so you get the harmony results the same day as your 12 week scan. I think it would have been much easier on the nerves rather than getting drip fed changing risk ratings and having to wait in between! They're thinking about doing harmony on the NHS as it is so much more reliable and doesn't scare so many people with false positive high risk results - I think it's a really good idea, particularly for people who've been ttc for ages. Anyway, it may not be appropriate for you but it's something I wish I'd known to consider.

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 10:25

You do realise that when I go into labour not the c section I think I'm going to end up with at 42 weeks that you will need to do shifts to keep me company 24/7 as I am a wimp and my oh will prob sleep through it Grin

Thunderpantsarego · 26/02/2014 10:30

Waaa labour watch?!! I can't go into labour now, I've got too much to do!!

merk we could go together? Nice simple straightforward textbook births at the same time to keep each other company?

Thunderpantsarego · 26/02/2014 10:31

Ps tried the P massage last night. That is not particularly fun. Trying to think of the greater good...

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/02/2014 11:23

Well scan showed two fat healthy babies, 4lb2 approx each and one's kicking the other one in the head Grin. Unfortunately Twin 1 has gone breech and Twin 2 is still transverse so my chances of a normal delivery are fast disappearing unless by some miracle T1 can find the room to spin back round. Am feeling a lot a bit tearful about this, which I know is silly in the grand scheme of things but I really wanted to at least try for a natural birth. Mr Boom thinks I'm being a chump and we should just be happy to have two healthy babies (which of course I am) but doesn't stop me feeling sad.

Oh and still haven't seen the consultant..

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 13:06

Thunder I find scaring myself to death with the thought of a 3rd or 4th degree tear quite motivating!

Boom - try not to get upset lovely. There is still time... another couple of weeks and they could both be head down ready for diving naturally out of your burger Grin - i'm a few weeks ahead of you and if mine is still the wrong way round (and out of space) but the chiro reckons there's still a chance then i'm sure yours have a chance too.
Oh and i would kick up an almighty stink about not seeing the consultant. I am assuming the hospital you are working in and the one you are under are different? if not then maybe i wouldn't complain too much

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 13:08

and anyone still looking for reuseable nappies may want to check this sale out today

Thunderpantsarego · 26/02/2014 13:10

Whatttt boom??? Still no consultant? What's the bloody point then?! Fab news about those healthy bubs in there though and you're already carrying round over 8lb of baby? Yikes. Do any of the traditional exercising for spinning babies work with twins?

merk yeah good point re the stitching Shock, ill keep at it then. Is mini merk now breech??

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 13:54

Transverse. And it feels like she's going mad/breakdancing ALL OF THE TIME!!

Thunderpantsarego · 26/02/2014 14:24

Mine feels like it's jumping about loads too - usually afternoons and evenings are the most active times. I think I have a bottom under my ribs and feet/heels/tentacles poking out of my right side at the top. Bum position does seem to change quite a lot though. If I'm right that is...

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 16:11

Productive couple of days for me am I nesting? Have washed almost everything baby related and done a huge online shop ready to cook and freeze enough food for a month Grin Have also stocked up on a tonne of cat food etc so will have little need to leave the house or rely on MIL who wants to cook and clean for me when I can't think of anything more intrusive
Have also fixed the heating, done some hacking in the jungle gardening, ordered a new dishwasher and hung some curtains... Where has this energy come from?

BlearyeyedLol · 26/02/2014 16:36

Oooooooh gotta love a bit of nesting!!!!!
Babies are coming soon la la la la la Grin

Brodicea · 26/02/2014 17:35

Very organised merk - I think I'm trying to nest but I tire very easily! DH is putting up the cot bed this evening - totally paranoid about early labour after my SIL had hers at 32 weeks… I know it is highly likely I will have at least another 10 weeks to go after that though. Trying to chill!

Our NCT classes start in a couple of weeks - am anticipating the info being a bit meh, but I would love to meet some people in my new 'hood…. mind I am a fussy/shy old stick so we'll see.

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/02/2014 18:01

Offer always open for a cuppa and natter brod..at least once I've finished work!

Spinning babies have got some totally undignified moves thunder so will be dangling head first off the sofa, crawling around on all fours and doing a lot of swimming for the next couple of weeks!

Wish I were nesting. At the minute I'm looking at the house, thinking there's so much to do that there's no obvious place to start, and ignoring the whole lot..

merk didn't realize the Merklet had gone transverse! Hope she spins.. Can I borrow your chiro? Grin

Brodicea · 26/02/2014 18:29

Thanks boom let me know when you're free. I'm only in casual employment at the mo, and stopping in early April so I'm free!

Hmm, sexy chiro….

Bunnygirlie · 26/02/2014 18:37

Thanks ladies, will def try yoga after 12 weeks! Need to feel like I'm doing something Smile

Saw this thread and thought of you all!

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/2008247-Exercises-to-avoid-tearing-issues

Told hubby about ass massage, his face was a picture Grin

How have we survived all this time without bunny to make a list???
Grin

jessplussomeonenew · 26/02/2014 19:02

On my phone so can't cut and paste but;

Jessplus: 30 August, don't know gender.

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/02/2014 19:03

Finish work on 12th brod, we might be going away for a few days to let the plumbers take over the house just after that but will be around from the middle of the next week onwards I should think!

Bunny your lists are so tidy... Grin

I think we should all share the fitty chiro..

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 19:04

I still don't know what babies wear. I have lots of baby clothes (ones with legs and sleeves and feet, and ones without feet an ones without sleeves and ones without legs) but I have no idea which combination I need to dress her in for day or sleeping ShockShockShock

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/02/2014 19:05

I don't share hot men or chocolate Grin

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/02/2014 19:26

How about hot chocolate?
