Right. Im off to London today for Ryvita's cardiac scan.
Funnily enough, I don't get scan doom any more, I think this makes about 12! But, I now have early labour doom. Sad
Im very twingy/ouchy, and my bladder is buggered, meaning im constantly worried that I'm leaking. Confused

I know I'm being irrational, there was NO shifting the other two, but I thi n know I just need something to worry about! Blush
Thankfully I have pretty much everything we need now, but I could do with another couple of weeks to get cleaned up. bleach everything

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 09:20

Sarah hang in there. It's not over till the far lady sings, and quite frankly, I just don't have the lung capacity any more! Wink Grin
Cyber/Mabel try not to worry too much. Go back half a dozen threads and you'll read pretty much all of us top of the stats list ladies stressing about the same lack of symptoms. In a month you'll be calling Huey and moaning that you can't keep water down! Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 09:21

FAT lady!

Pixielady83 · 21/01/2014 09:22

cyber my ms never kicked in fully until 8wks with any of my pregnancies. That was the point at which I went off everything, felt knackered and sick all the time and just wanted to crawl under a rock and hide!

sarah glad to hear bleeding has eased somewhat, can't believe they're making you wait til Thursday Sad hoping for the best x

Been awake since 5, my sleep patterns are all wrong Confused did have lovely time with DD until DH had to take her to preschool, cue massive meltdown. I don't know how we are going to persuade her to go when I am staying at home with baby... any ideas?

Pixielady83 · 21/01/2014 09:25

hope your scan goes well today saggy Smile

Sarah2013mum · 21/01/2014 09:29

Thank you everyone , and saggy that made me smile, I've actually woke up with bad morning sickness, and my usually non existent chest now feel like bullets :) sorry for Tmi, !
I strangely feel quite calm, no pain and bleeding is hardly visible today, so today I am pregnant no matter what tomorrow or thursday may bring !

fod27 · 21/01/2014 10:05

That's the attitude sarah

Good luck saggy you made me laugh ;)

Oh Saggy my pelvic floor is buggered as well. I'm doing the exercises almost every single day when I remember as per the physio's advice but it doesn't seem to be making a blind bit of difference to either the SPD or the embarrassing leaks! Hope the scan goes well today! Do they have any idea how early Ryvita might arrive? (Do you think you are going to find yourself calling her that when she is born?!) I was 9 weeks early so quite prem and even although every single appointment I have they assure me that all is looking 'normal' I can't help but worry the sprog is going to copy his mum and make an early appearance... I think you're right, we are used to worrying throughout this pregnancy we need something to fixate on!

I finally gave in and sorted out a cleaner who is currently in my flat. I'm hiding in the bedroom trying to fight the urge to go and help her (I'm awful at sitting and doing nothing, especially when someone else is at work cleaning my flat!) but she is doing an amazing job! Far better than I would normally do... The cat is rather pleased with her as well. He thinks she is his personal doorman, she's been letting him in and out of the flat and letting him play with the feather duster. I've had to lock him away to stop him interfering - the little bugger!

MrsGiraffe12 · 21/01/2014 13:40

Having a scared day today. Am 7+3 and am going mad. Don't have my booking appointment until the 27th so won't get a scan date till then. Given that my mmc happened at week 5 and wasn't discovered till week 8 I'm terrified baby has died and I don't know it. Hospital won't do an early scan unless I have a need (haven't actually seem a doc to confirm this but a friend works there so I know).

Can't afford a private scan as they are in excess of £100 locally.

Any tips for staying calm? I though roughly hate myself and body for this. I should be enjoying myself now, not constantly scared and let down by my body :-(

Pixielady83 · 21/01/2014 14:18

Aww mrsgiraffe I'm so sorry you're having a scared day ((hug)) it is so hard to trust your body after a mmc. Is there anything you can do today to distract yourself? If you are really feeling desperate is it worth seeing the GP to find out if an early scan is a possibility?

MrsGiraffe12 · 21/01/2014 14:31

Hi pixie.
I don't know. I've been at work all day and that's not helped distract me. So if that doesn't help I don't know what will.

I'm half tempted to go to doc and say I slipped downstairs and have cramping but no bleeding and see if they will scan me, maybe they will if I cry and say I'm really anxious as I miscarried last time. Is it bad to fib? Haha x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 14:37

MrsG I couldnt afford private scans either. It sucks!
Try to just take each day as it comes and muddle through as best you can. I found either working, or wallowing about in bed trawling through MN and watching back to back old movies between sleeping at random moments got me through.
My biggest piece of advice is DO NOT GOOGLE anything. It starts innocently enough and before you know it you're in this pit of horror stories and scary but irrelevant stuff which keeps you awake at night! Sad

Remember out mantra, "Today we are pregnant".
Time really does pass. I was where you are seemingly only yesterday, and now im 32 weeks! Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 14:41

Just got out of a lovely if packed with people scan at UCLH, Ryvita is doing great. She's well crammed in there though I couldnt tell what was what! Smile Ive no idea where the rest of her growth is going!
The only concern is that the blood flow in the cord is a little slow, so I have to have another scan locally next week and be on the alert for reduced movement.
I'm just waiting for the usual discussion with the cardiologist now.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 15:04

Ooh! no more trips to London until she is here! Smile

MrsGiraffe12 · 21/01/2014 15:19

Ooh gg saggy that's pretty positive isn't it :-) x

MrsGiraffe12 · 21/01/2014 15:20

As in no more trips to London I mean, fingers crossed for the blood flow/cardiologist appointment xx

ChristineDaae · 21/01/2014 15:25

Hi all, sorry to hear a lot of you in the early stages are having worriesSad I know how hard it is but you have to try to stay positive and take 1 day at a time. Today we are pregnant!

Saggy great news that no more London trips needed, I guess that means Ryvitas doing well?

Still same old here, no movement, no signs, no nothing Sad

Pixielady83 · 21/01/2014 16:35

ooh you lucky ladies with cleaners Envy I would love a cleaner!

saggy that's great not having to trek to London again. They sound like they are being really thorough so that's reassuring. Hope the reduced blood flow isn't too much cause for concern, at least you know what to keep an eye on and good to have more scans lined up.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 21/01/2014 17:22

Oh pixie I am so excited, it's like Christmas all over again, my cleaner starts tomorrow, it's only 2 hours but it's more than I can do right now :)

Giraffe, hang in there it's a horrible feeling, but stay positive and keep going, it'll be ok.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 21/01/2014 17:23

Ooh saggy, yea to no more London trips, that's great!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 18:24

Kat thats the One! (raised PI) I remembered because it made me think of Magnum PI! Confused Grin
I think I may have finally become unhinged! Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 21/01/2014 18:25

MrsG I found the what to expect when your expecting app was good. It always seemed to come up with whatever symptoms I did have.

Cybercat · 21/01/2014 19:02

sarah Im glad things are looking up for you, Im keeping my fingers crossed for you.

saggy I wasnt stalking you (honest) but I was reading a different thread where you'd posted about ryvita. Im glad the cardiac scan was positive today and fingers crossed for the scan next week.

mrsgiraffe do check the EPU policy on early scans after miscarriage. Our NHS Trust do offer them after 7 weeks and Im going a week friday.

Thank you to everyone who replied. Im overly emotional at the moment as my old lady cat was put to sleep on Sunday (3rd cat we've lost in a year) but I keep repeating the mantra. Yes, 'today I am pregnant'.
