North west. Snow hasn't settled though, too wet on the ground.

Just finished sorting out 2008 photos this was left over from my last maternity leave to do list! Just 2009, 2012 and 2013 to go now... Confused

pgchimp · 11/02/2014 18:10

aoife your spa break stories have made me laugh out loud on the train home. I hope there was something relaxing about it (other than the prunes)!

I would agree with what others have said about changing bump size (in fact I think I posted in a panic about it a few weeks ago). it is only in the last two weeks, I am 23 now, that I have had a consistently sized bump.

I am definitely getting movements now but my is he unpredictable. sometimes I don't feel him for hours. I have an anterior placenta, do I remember right that that can make the movements more difficult to feel when the baby is in some positions, or is it the other way round?

Handsfullandlovingit · 11/02/2014 18:40

Oh I love all these getting ready for babies stories! The babygrows are just so teeeeny! V jealous right now.

Hi fish welcome and congratulations on surving a very tough journey. You must have had immense courage to persevere.

aoife I wonder if you could get a refund? That sounds like you got much less than you paid for.

I am 6 weeks tomorrow. Yay!

fod27 · 11/02/2014 19:28

thankyou so much ladies! It's nice to know I'm normal and that this is a normal reaction, climbing the walls because of SPD saggy totally feel your pain by the way. I've had a real good cry today after realising the only person I can rely on is me! My mates are pants and family is even worse!

DH has felt my wrath and now we have a bath!

fedupofrainydays · 11/02/2014 20:03

aoife ha ha I did chuckle at that... Prunes can def get things moving!

fod phew re bath.. I was beginning to smell you via the tinterweb Wink

london i also have the bloat thing. I'm only 5 weeks but very bloated but am sure it will be flat again tomorrow morn. I only know its a genuine bump when I can't lie on my front any more!

I'm in flood zone here and we have a flood warning. Not severe but still a bit scary... The Thames is very high... Eeeek.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/02/2014 20:45

Yay for the wrath of Fod! Grin Grin
I hope you are enjoying a nice hot bath right now!

squizita · 11/02/2014 20:55

Yay for baths Fod! A bit of wrath never hurt anyone! Grin

Pixielady83 · 11/02/2014 21:15

Fod I am so pleased that you've got a bath again - bless you! Enjoy!

Fedup hope the Thames stays a decent distance away from you - I can't believe all the crazy weather you guys are getting down South - makes the North look far less grim than usual Wink

MrsGiraffe12 · 11/02/2014 21:53

Today I'm still pregnant, today I'm still pregnant, today I'm still pregnant....

10+2 and having horrendous belly ache and back ache today, all the same as period pains/pains similar to when I had my miscarriage last year. EPAU not interested as no bleeding.

"12" week scan on the 26th can't come soon enough for this anxious mummy to be :-( x

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/02/2014 22:03

Hang in there MrsG. No bleeding is a great sign. x

GuffSmuggler · 11/02/2014 22:04

Saggy I forgot you were likely to be early, you'll probably queue jump the rest of us at the top of the list Envy

Penguinita · 11/02/2014 22:08

Lol at your spa story aoife! We've just booked a babymoon which includes two days in a spa hotel (one which does special treatments for pregnant ladies), remind me to steer clear of the prunes at breakfast! Grin

Hi to the newbies, boop , ruth, fishcake and anyone else I've missed. Congratulations, today you are pregnant.

Happy due date liesl. But you can't have your baby or we will have nobody to update the stats list! Smile

Snow here too in the north west, and it looks like we might get more tonight...

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/02/2014 22:11

Guff im more than happy to wait my turn! Smile
Its all getting a bit too close to comfort now!
Not to mention how complicated it is trying to explain to people who ask how much longer I have! I just don't know!

Aoifebelle · 11/02/2014 22:13

Yeah for the bath fod I hope you stayed in there for hours. Sounds like you needed it.

Fedup I can see why you are fed up, I am guessing a flood is the last thing you need. The pictures from the flood zone look awful.

I am six weeks tomorrow, need to think about going to the docs and getting the medical ball rolling. Sooo not looking forward to it.

fod27 · 11/02/2014 22:32

fedup your a cheeky lil sausage! ;)

Thanks ladies - it's the small things ain't it? Oooo I do love the small things ;)

mrsG yay! Hang in there huni! Crossing everything for you
Had my 35 week appointment today and baby is 4/5ths engaged!!! So something's going my way!

Hope everyone else is ok and feeling positive

fod27 · 12/02/2014 02:29

I have baby news!!!!!! My friend has given birth in her bathroom! She's popped into hospital with her little boy and has been sent home with the all clear! Thought you may like some inspirational baby news!!!

MrsGiraffe12 · 12/02/2014 06:45

fod that's great news :-)

Thanks to all that replied, it's a great comfort knowing you all understand the anxiousness being pregnant after miscarriage brings. I just didn't realise quite how anxious I would be if that makes sense, and feel it's spoiling the pregnancy a bit. And to make things worse my son was 2 months early so I'm feeling anxious about that happening again too. Argh xx

fod27 · 12/02/2014 07:53

mrsG you've hit the nail on the head there - I haven't enjoyed any of this pregnancy, I'm now worried about the birth but in all honesty I don't think any if us will really settle until we are holding our baby's. I hope it's of some comfort to know that we all feel the same - gone are the days of 'ignorance is bliss' - with it though comes a whole new appreciation for life xxxx

squizita · 12/02/2014 07:54

Fedup Hope you're OK and have power!

MrsGiraffe I've had some scary pains but no bleeding, touch wood scans have been OK. Hope it's the same for you.

Happy 6 weeks Aoife!

Fod great baby news! :)

Saggy Hang on in there! Exciting times!

Having my usual nightmare: boobs not very tender, not feeling very sick. Hmm Haven't been sick for several days, DH claims I am just 'managing it better' though (i.e. keeping sweets and mini cheddars to hand so the worst it gets is nausea). And my boobs, quoth he, are "a f**ing ridiculous size".

MrsGiraffe12 · 12/02/2014 08:34

saggy how exciting. Not long till you meet your baby.

To all the new comers, good luck!! This is a lovely forum to be part of and share worries / exciting times x

squizita · 12/02/2014 08:42

Just went over on to the 'childbirth' forum. Shock Almost 100% about things that can go wrong (like, permanently).

Ladies with DCs ... it isn't the case (as one poster put it) that "almost all" 1st births end up with years and years of problems?

Anxious now as let's face it, my body isn't the world's greatest baby making machine.

JBrd · 12/02/2014 08:55

squiz Why on earth would you go and look on the childbirth forum?! Isn't trying to get through the pregnancy enough worry for you?! Silly, silly woman.
And just for the record - no, absolutely not almost all 1st births end up with years and years of problems! No one in my large circle of baby-bearing friends has had any major problems resulting from birth, including me (and DS was not a particularly easy birth).
My advice - stay away from there and focus on what is going on now!

MrsG No bleeding is a good sign, remember that there's lots of stretching and re-adjusting going on in the first trimester, to make room for things to develop, it might well be that! Maybe take some paracetamol? Hope you can relax a bit, easier said than done, I know!

Fod Oooh, that is great news - both about your friend and your appointment. Not long now!

Still feeling bleurgh on and off, no 'real' sickness yet, but hey-ho. This morning, a wave of nausea hit me when I picked up DS's socks from the floor Smile
Anyone else really tired? I feel completely zombie-fied when I get home from work in the evenings, and it's not even that busy at the moment. Dragging myself to the gym has become very difficult... Meant to be going tonight, and I know already it will take all my self-discipline that I can muster...

fod27 · 12/02/2014 09:07

Thanks jbrd I've been getting all excited looking at my friends pictures on fb, it was her third and by all accounts came very quickly - just hope mine isn't that fast ;)

JBrd · 12/02/2014 09:32

fod Yes, you hear these stories about second babies being born on the bathroom floor because they come so quickly! I actually know 2 people who that happened to, and another friend only just avoided it by calling the ambulance. Is this your second? Wink

Just made myself a decaf coffee, and halfway through thought 'Bleurgh, I actually don't fancy this at all!' Ate a sneaky ginger biscuit (because ginger=good for nausea, right?), but I think I'll have to have a banana now....

fod27 · 12/02/2014 09:38

jbrd it's my third, if it's any comfort I had those reactions to my fave foods too, couldn't stomach anything greasy either but by week 16 my sickness had gone and I ate like a horse lol my first I had 24 hour sickness even in labour but I think our bodies change sooo much you can't predict anything lol
