Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, pregnant with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

merk puppy thunder kat how much are they? My friend said she tried to do the free ones but the people were all too erm rough (that might be just where we live though!)

kat re nct that is exactly what the mw said to me

Anyway, I'm 95% sure I felt the baby move last night! Thought I did the morning but then I erm passed wind so not sure about that one!

Merry Christmas berries! We really have got what we wished for this year! Xmas Smile

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/12/2013 08:46

Happy Christmas berries and bumps! Hope you all have a lovely day Xmas Grin

kitty yay to the kicking!

The mw/nct antagonism is partly down to the focus on natural over assisted birth and pushy breastfeeding stance, but I suspect it's mostly because some of the teachers tend to paint mws and drs as hardcore interventionists who will do anything to get you flat on your back with an epidural and forceps delivery. Some of the birth plans people bring in suggest this is what they think we as mws want 'i do not want to be strapped down' ''I do not want to be forced to have a caesarean'... Er ok, as if they would ever happen! All that said, I actually like nct, most of the teachers are great, you just have to remember to keep an open mind! My classes start in feb too Xmas Grin

Enjoy the sober festivities all! Xxx

Happy Christmas all!

Oo yay to movement kitty, I bet it really was bubs moving.

boom thank you for that explanation, it totally agrees with what I've heard too. I think there's a good message in this about keeping an open mind with everything pregnancy and child? related!

BlindKitty · 25/12/2013 14:24

Hmm I still can't see prices, maybe I've got to apply first?

Will take boom's advice into consideration. One of my friends is actually a nct bf counsellor and yes, as much as I love her, she is very idealistic. Hoping that if I do have problems she will whip out her magic wand and sort me out!

Dh gave me my present in a card with...'to my beautiful wife and mother of my baby girl'. He NEVER says nice stuff like that even though I know he thinks it! Xmas Shock Xmas Smile

Boomgoestheweasel · 25/12/2013 23:02

As a special Christmas treat, Twin #1 has decided to finally make his/her presence known with a good kicking in the cervix/bladder! Need to be careful what I wish for in future Xmas Grin

kitty that's so sweet. Cute Mr Kitty!

Right, bedtime... Up for work shortly!

BlindKitty · 26/12/2013 08:15

£170?!!! Omg I can't see Dh agreeing to that! Might have to tell him a erm reduced price!!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/12/2013 09:52

Mine was £319 including membership ShockShockShockShockShockShockShockShock

Thunderpantsarego · 26/12/2013 10:37

Wow merk is that the gold standard one? Mine was around £200 inc joint membership

BlearyeyedLol · 26/12/2013 11:01

Blimey that's well expensive!!!!!!! I'm almost glad I didn't know about it and spent the money on other cute and lovely essential things Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/12/2013 11:54

It's probably cos I'm in London (ish) and everything is therefore allowed to be muchos expensive

BlindKitty · 26/12/2013 12:52

Feeling quite sore in my abdo this morning. Felt like I pulled a muscle getting up for a wee in the night. Consulted dr google who says its normal for 19weeks due to ligament strain so hopefully it's ok.

Got 3 presents 'for the bump' including a teddy, the complete works of Beatrix potter and my absolute fave a pot to imprint the babies foot and hand in. Would normally have been a bit superstitious but since they were all surprises I have no choice but to love them!

Tallyra · 26/12/2013 14:46

aww that's lovely kitty. the only present I got for the bump was baby talc and sponges. useful but not greatly presenty.

BlindKitty · 26/12/2013 21:09

tally well it's not really 'the done thing' is it? Especially only at 29 weeks! Sure everyone will make up for it when your little princess is actually here!

Guys I know I'm being silly but please can you reassure me sausage wang that the pain I'm feeling is just muscular or ligament pain?

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/12/2013 21:14

What kind of pain kitty? All the time? Worse when you do specific things (eg sit up from lying down)? Sure it will be fine but I can't speak from experience as all I've had is fanjo ache

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/12/2013 22:07

My abdominal muscles have separated. A lot. Damnit

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/12/2013 22:25

And I have an ingrowing hair in a place I can barely see anymore!

Tallyra · 26/12/2013 22:34

I had a stitch an awful lot a little while ago, could be a similar thing?

BlindKitty · 26/12/2013 22:48

Well I felt it start as I got out if bed in the night (like I'd pulled something). Hurts all the time but especially getting up. Pretty sure I've felt her move a few times tonight so hopefully she's ok

Bunnygirlie · 26/12/2013 23:33

A belated Merry Berry Christmas to all pg Berries!!!

Keep some room in that copter for the rest of us x

Xmas Smile Xmas Grin Xmas Smile

BlindKitty · 27/12/2013 05:49

Bunnygirlie · 27/12/2013 10:33

Awwww thanks kittycat did I hear you are having a pink one?

Thread 17 is now open, pop in to keep an eye on all those BFPs heading your way in 2014 Xmas Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/12/2013 11:23

Where's the pain kitty? Sounds like muscle or ligament to me, if your stomach muscles are heading the same way as mine I'm not surprised! A good excuse to put your feet up and be waited on
