geta thanks for the link! No way I can pass as 12 weeks just get...! But will keep that one in mind if I do get that far!! I'm looking at £90 for mine which is expensive but we can find the money for it.

The one I'm looking at is ultrasounduk so v similar name! Based at St. Peter's where I had DS and also the horrible mc but diff part to EPU.

Needed to eat this morn as felt bit sick when woke up. Trying to ignore this mornings spotting and focus on that symptom. Also Spent most of the night gagging, not from pregnancy symptoms but because DH had gone out and against my instructions had a dirty kebab and spent the night breathing horrible kebab and booze breath over me - eeeewwww!!!

Hi Liesl - uncomfortable but weirdly not yet "ready" to have LO just yet.
(38+5 today) even though I've done it before, I'm slightly panicking about going through labour again. Keep getting told how it will be quicker this time, which is great considering we live in the sticks and need to get someone to come over for Ds. But my DM is coming in Monday for a couple of days which will be good. And just point my comments out to me when I'm complaining about being overdue through Christmas Xmas Grin

Hello to all the new ladies and congratulations on your BFP's, the symptom spotting drives you mad doesn't it. Everyone photo ing their poas results, check out the HPT galleries on Fertility Friend - you could have labelled and posted them their --says she who still has hers in a box in her knicker drawer]]

DH got up at 5.30am to sort out Ds (wanted "light on") and has clearly just got into bed with him(he's in a double) which means I am having a lovely lie in and mn session this morning.

Morning all,

Need a bit if hand holding! Last Sat took a CB digi and result read 2-3 weeks. Took one today and still read 2-3 weeks & I am 6 weeks so shouldn't it read 3+? With the MMC I'm afraid my hormones aren't rising again.

Anyone else had this situation? :-(

NerdyBird · 07/12/2013 11:35

There's a lot to catch up on!
Firstly, congrats to janie on the eventual arrival of baby Leo! Worth all the waiting!

Welcome fedup and gold this is a great thread for support. fedup I've had spotting too, and two scans so far have shown that things are ok. I think you are at the same hospital as me, everyone at the EPU has been nice so far so it might be worth giving them a ring on monday.
My symptoms had subsided over the last few days bit still had sore boobs and tiredness. Nausea returned a bit yesterday.

ickle If you are 6 weeks it might be worth you calling your EPU or GP. I'm not sure how forthcoming they are with blood tests to see if the levels are rising but it could be worth a shot. I wouldn't rely on CB necessarily as it could be you ovulated a little late.

I'm 8+1 today, never got this far before.

fedupofrainydays · 07/12/2013 12:24

Hi nerdy
Did you not get the man with the bow tie? He was the horrible sonographer!
How early was your first scan? I think I may ring on Monday too to see what they say.
Blood much less so far today so hoping its stopping.

ickle same situ for me yesterday but should have said 2 to 3 but only said 1 to 2. Googler this and heard so many stories of CBD freaking people out for no reason. It's only an estimate and someone said it was actually impossible to measure the concentration of hcg in the urine, just whether its there or not. Blood tests are the best way for that. Hugs and a hand hold xxx

icklemssunshine · 07/12/2013 13:11

I've had blood tests and there was a rise but now I've convinced myself they've stopped rising. I've read that about CB too, apparently you need over 20,000 to read 3+. My bloods were 1,200 Monday so I should be over 20,000 by now if they're doubling every 24 hours. Already had an argument with DH this morning about it. He says my pessimism will just cause greater stress. Hate CB. Hate Google. Grrrr!!!

NerdyBird · 07/12/2013 13:44

No, I had a chap the first time but he wasn't wearing a bow tie. Second time was a lady. My first scan was at 6 weeks. Hope the bleeding stops.

fedupofrainydays · 07/12/2013 13:47

Sounds like you escaped him! My friend had the same one on a diff day and was wearing a bow tie both times. Think you would know if you had met him!!

fedupofrainydays · 07/12/2013 13:50

Ickle - I thought its doubling every other day. Might be wrong but you had the bloods so try stay positive - they showed things were happening as they should and are much more accurate than a silly CB digital.

icklemssunshine · 07/12/2013 13:56

fedup, you're right. Doubling takes place between 48-72 hours. My crazy mind is working against me! From rough calculations I'm going to be below the 20,000 mark then. Not having a great day today. Hope I feel more positive tomorrow. Going to (try) and ban myself from Google for the rest of the weekend!!

Welcome back kat, glad you're feeling better!

I wrote a long post yesterday but bloody well lost it so I'm sorry for not acknowledging people.

I am 38 weeks now and feel rubbish! Tired, achy, sick, pretty useless really. Had painful bh yesterday all afternoon and period pains. Today ive mainly been lying down as it's so uncomfortable to be upright!

Sorry fir the moan, can't wait to meet my baby but struggling and feel like I'm probably still going to go overdue!

How is everyone else feeling who's nearly there? Xxx

Penguinita · 07/12/2013 17:16

How lovely to have all the newbies joining the thread! And really nice that you can all support each other through those tough first 12 weeks. And it means I'm not at the bottom of the stats list any more, woo!

Having mixed feelings today as it would have been the due date for the little bean I lost in May. I'm sad for the loss of our little one, but also very grateful to be blessed with another healthy (so far) pregnancy. I know a lot of very deserving ladies reach this milestone without having that joy. So I'm taking some quiet time to reflect tonight.

Chocolateteabag · 07/12/2013 17:53

Ickle - I can't say it's gospel but I'm pretty sure that if you search on MN you'll find lots of people who've found CB digi's aren't the most accurate. It still said 2-3 which is a lot better than if it had dropped back to 1-2. I would wait a few more days and test again, or better still save your money and keep fingers crossed.

Blackholes - feeling your pain, my space invader is busy trying to push his bum out of my tummy button

MissMedusa · 07/12/2013 18:21

ickle supposedly the CBD will show 3+ weeks when you're over 2,000 not 20,000.

fedup I was still getting 2-3 weeks on CBD at 6+2 and when I had my bloods done that day, my hcg was at 3000 so it should have turned over to 3+ which shows me that the CBD aren't completely accurate. I stopped using them after that point.

fedupofrainydays · 07/12/2013 19:24

Ugh. Spotting is back and have some minor cramps. Hope nothing major..

penguin I got my period on my would be due date. It was really hard,

Ugh. Spotting is back and have some minor cramps. Hope nothing major..

penguin I got my period on my would be due date. It was really hard, and a friend had a baby on the same day!! Met the baby for the first time on Friday (September was my due date) and suprisingly was ok, hard but ok. If I'd been pregnant it would have made it easier yes, but just like you would never forget the little once life that we lost.

I've decided I'm not using CBDs anymore this pregnancy. I don't want to be scared! As there is nothing I can do if it hasn't progressed except wait so I'm not going to do it! Today I'm pregnant, today I'm pregnant

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/12/2013 20:05

GAH! We need a sticky at the top of our threads: DONT BOTHER WITH CLEAR BLUE DIGITAL, THEY ARE FAR MORE TROUBLE THAN THEY ARE WORTH, HIGHLY INACCURATE AND WILL MAKE YOU SERIOUSLY PANICKY!
There are lots of rules on the TTC thread, we need at least one on here! Confused Grin
Fed its so hard, try and stay positive. These first weeks are so difficult after MC, but there's a whole stats list of success stories to give you encouragement. Youll get there. xxSmile

I'm starting to panic about ectopics now (what next i hear you say!). No, seriously. I have browny watery spotting / discharge - like the prune juice I suppose. I think I'm hitting EPU on Monday. I can't cope with this stress. But is that too early to see if on tube or uterus? I will be c 5 weeks. Thanks ladies.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 07/12/2013 23:09

Fed I had an ectopic which thankfully I MC. There was indeed brown discharge. It seemed to have tiny specks of darker stuff in it at times. I also had those tell tail one sided twinges. They can tell very early on with a scan, as soon as they can verify that there is a sac they can also verify that there isn't one too. So probably 4/5 weeks. Mine was a pregnancy of unknown location because it had already broken down when they scanned me so there was no sac, but a slightly later scan found debris on my ovary confirming ectopic.
There are PLENTY of people who have had brown discharge and been totally fine though. A cervical erosion is a good cause, annoying but quite harmless. Leftover implantation bleeding is another. Its not over yet, stay calm. x

icklemssunshine · 08/12/2013 07:11

fedup something that may make you feel better: I found this on CB health professional site
Not Pregnant (0 mIU/ml), Pregnant 1-2 weeks (25 mIU/ml), Pregnant 2-3 weeks (200 mIU/ml) and
Pregnant 3+ weeks (20000 mIU/ml)

www.clearblue.com/uk/HCP/pdf/Clearblue_Pregnancy_Test_with_Conception_Indicator_brochure.pdf

Slightly obsessive I know!

Got my scan tomorrow to determine ectopic. Had all the symptoms around 3 weeks - the discharge, right side ovary pain - but haven't had them for last week. Just wondering how much I need to "prepare" myself for bad news tomorrow? I'll be on my own as DH has to work. Wish I had some pg symptoms or something to tell me everything will be okay!
