pixie from what I gather your most likely to feel movements when your sitting or lying still, as when we move it rocks the baby to sleep etc also they used to tell you to measure (count) movements on a daily basis - but they stopped it as it's dependent on lifestyle etc so if you already have DC or a hectic lifestyle your less likely to notice mobements or your movements could be sending little one back off to sleep cxxx

banana87 · 05/01/2014 13:06

christine go get checked. Anything that makes you think "thats not right" needs checking.

pixie both of mine only ever kicked and moved when I was sitting or laying down. Mention to midwife but its prob just your baby's pattern...some are more active than others.

pumpkinsweetie · 05/01/2014 13:25

I second getting checked too christine, if things don't seem normal for you then daycare at the hospital will put you on monitoring for an hour x

lucyfluff · 05/01/2014 13:32

Hiya ladies, hope your all well - Ive not been added to the list yet...I will stay in here and the Aug thread hopefully Smile

Feeling properly grim today Sad my symptoms have been very on/off the past few days but this sicky feeling is prob the worst Ive had before. I have booking in apt Thursday with GP and booked a private scan for Friday so fingers crossed little bean is ok Smile

Re movement worries - I remember the MW saying to me if you are concerned have a cold fizzy drink and lay on your left hand side and you will feel some movement with one hour. I always worried about movement and spent a lot of time being checked buy they were always lovely and its better to be safe. My first son was very quiet compared to second wriggly son so they are all different too!!!

Pixielady83 · 05/01/2014 14:10

Thanks ladies. DD was similar so maybe I have quiet babies in utero or maybe feel less in breech. christine hope everything is ok with baby, I'm sure it will be but doesn't hurt to get checked out.

Finding DD so challenging at the mo. She just doesn't do anything I say. Shouted at her and feel very bad Sad she cried but more out of outrage than anything else as she still didn't do what I asked afterwards.

TeaAndANatter · 05/01/2014 14:21

Feel very lazy with posting here at the moment. All well at this end, just over-working a bit and trying to control everything in my life pre baby (like we all know that works!).

25 and a bit weeks, going as normal as a post mmc goes. Good to see lots of new names, and see the thread arrivals list moving along!

Alb1 · 05/01/2014 16:02

Still nothing! The heartburn has got really bad as well, which makes me think it's going to be another no to a sweep tomorrow.

To be honest, despite being thoroughly fed up, I'm secretly relieved to get the downtime as I'm terrified about doing it all again. Not so much the birth, but the newborn bit. I'm more scared this time than last - which is probably why he's not coming out!

Purple37 · 05/01/2014 20:56

Hi all, can I jump on board? Edd 17th September so very early days. Had mmc in July so am frantically obsessing!!

santa I feel the same- I'm wishing the next few weeks away to get on with having a baby as I'm sick of being physically incapable but I'm terrified of the sleep deprivation and the prospect of having 2 demanding children. Today especially I really don't feel cut out to be mum of 1 let alone of 2 Sad people say it all falls into place though so I'm sure it will...

kat thanks for the movement reassurance I am on the go mostly so that might explain things too.

welcome and good luck purple Smile I had an mmc last year too so know that doubtful feeling well x

saggy hope you feel better soon lots of hot Brew required.

First early start in over two weeks tomorrow for work. I've only got 2 weeks left and of that only 4 days in the office but heaps to do and I just know the 6.45 start is going to hurt tomorrow!

fod27 · 05/01/2014 23:01

pixie this will be my third, I can assure you it all slots into place.. Trust me you will thrive xxx

Pixielady83 · 05/01/2014 23:05

ah thanks fod good to know... I really didn't feel like I knew what I was doing for the first year last time so hope things settle a bit quicker this time! every baby is different though right and I guess it will come back to me Confused DH on the other hand is Mr confident, he should have the babies I reckon!

Louzul · 05/01/2014 23:26

Welcome Purple and congrats on the BFP!! It's a great bunch on here. Lots of support.

12 week scan tomorrow am.Had a huge freak out earlier in the day, sobbing, and then proceeded to gag into the kitchen sink. DH was great. Gave me a hug and a Jaffa cake. Felt like i had been holding the fear in and it burst out in a huge wail. Hmm

I think I've envisaged every scenario, all fine, mmc, something bad on the nuchal scan. At least I'll know tomorrow.

Santa I hope the heartburn gets better and things start happening soon!

fod27 · 06/01/2014 00:49

Hahaa I was exactly the same pixie it's strange how you just adapt and have your own style ;) it must be a man thing as DH is unphased by it all also - I shall put that suggestion to him especially as I'd love ttc ASAP post labour

fod27 · 06/01/2014 00:53

lou we were the same at our 12 week scan - I was shaking and panicking etc, DH informed the sonographer of our ttc history and she was fab! She too had experienced loss and was so supportive she even recommended pregnancy anxiety procedures etc I don't think those feelings change in all honesty... They fade but I think once we all have our babies we can finally settle - just wanted you to know that your not alone and it's normal xxx

pumpkinsweetie · 06/01/2014 05:44

Waters went at 4am, going in at 8 for moniteringSmile, hope to have a baby in the next 24 hrs

bakingtins · 06/01/2014 07:51

Welcome purple !

Good luck for scan louzle

Fingers crossed for a baby today pumpkin

pgchimp · 06/01/2014 08:16

good luck with scan today Louzul. pre-scan doom is sooo normal on here!

goof luck pumpkin for a quick and easy labour, looking forward to news of a mini-squash later.

I had my first rage at mil comment yesterday. I know in my rational self that she was trying to be nice, but she kept pushing me for a date when we would be thinking about buying baby stuff. normal people would stop pushing when the pregnant person said "we are not thinking about that yet", but not my mil. she wanted a specific date when.I thought it would be a good idea! Grrr, and I only 18 weeks, it's not like I have left it till 38 weeks.

sorry, rant over.

Good luck pumpkin!!
Santa I hope the heartburn is just due to feet and not the whole baby being high up! Fingers crossed for your sweep today.
Baby movements picked up yesterday and all back to normal now.
Hope everyone is doing ok with this weather. My DD's pre-school is closed and we have red alerts for flooding. One thing to be grateful for is we live at the top of a hill so pretty safe, it's just the winds that get us as we're quite exposed!

ChristineDaae · 06/01/2014 09:46

Oh and hi purple! Glad you found us! Smile

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 06/01/2014 10:50

Went in for monitoring, waters definetly have gone, all well but now back at home waiting for something to start, so far only a few small twinges! Will be induced tomorrow morning if contractions don't startConfused
