Janie - fingers crossed

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 11:35

Sarah it sounds very like the ultrasound caused this. Hormones and increased blood flow can make you a little fragile up there. I think off White is quite normal.
Pumpkin that sounds promising. Smile Good luck.

Out of interest, nosiness has anyone heard from Santa? I'm fairly certain that it has been a few days....

ChristineDaae · 04/01/2014 12:31

Ohh hopefully Santa is busy getting us a new thread baby Wink
Pumpkin - yay for 40 weeks! I'm 37 today and may lose the plot if baby is still hanging in there by 40 weeks, definitely ready for this to be done now. Has anyone had any luck with acupressure to induce labour in prev pregnancies?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 13:48

Anyone else obsessed with the stats list? I'm fascinated to watch myself climbing higher and higher. It feels like such an achievement. After Santa, Pumpkin and Christine deliver in the next week or three, that makes me 7th or 8th?
And Ryvita may well be early! I'm sooooo excited! Grin Grin Grin

Emki · 04/01/2014 14:20

Happy birthday penguin for yesterday, hope you had a lovely day.

Hope everyone doing well and good luck to the ladies about to pop.

penguin when is your 20 week scan? Mine is on Tuesday ..... scan doom is definitely looming for me xxx

Emki · 04/01/2014 14:21

saggy its so exciting, at the time it felt we were on the TTC thread for ages, but now it seems to be moving along so quickly xxx

WhatWillSantaBring · 04/01/2014 15:08

Sadly no- still blooming waiting Wink

Another attempt at a sweep on Monday and then will be in for an induction on wed or thurs. Really don't think it'll happen before then though. Harrumph. I really wanted to try a water birth and although the consultant unit has one, I'm the sort of person who is easily bullied persuaded by others so I'm sure I will end up strapped firmly to a bed with continuous monitoring.

Penguinita · 04/01/2014 15:14

So for future reference eye tests are not covered by the maternity prescription exemption unfortunately. However the optician did give me a good tip about where to get prams from so that could save me some money!

emki my scan was going to be Wednesday but they moved it back to the following Monday, boo. Seems ages away so scan doom hasn't kicked in for me yet, but I'm sure it will build! Good luck for Tuesday, will be thinking of you Flowers

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 15:24

AHEM! You can't have a cheap pram tip and not share it!!

Penguinita · 04/01/2014 15:54

Pram world in Wigan. Probably only good for those of us in the north west though! Smile

ChristineDaae · 04/01/2014 17:22

Oh Santa I really had my hopes up for you! Even if you reach having to go for induction, you might get lucky... They may be able to just break your waters and not put you on the juice so you could still get your water birth? Or, if you can have a word with baby Santa, go in for induction, get told they're too busy and then have your waters break all over their floor.. Worked for a friend of mine Wink
I can't wait for my turn any more! PGP is killing me, hormones are making me seriously angry all the time. So far I'm going with acupressure, taught by YouTube, and sex... One of them has to work soon!!

Pixielady83 · 04/01/2014 18:46

happy belated birthday penguin -a fellow Lancashire lass! a few of my friends have got their pushchairs there.

oh no Santa really hoped you would have popped. Remember even if you are continuously monitored you can move around within reason, I was hooked up last time but found contractions so much easier leaning over the bed than lying on my back.

saggy it's exciting isn't it! although I do feel like the next 8-9 weeks might go on forever. Looking forward to finishing work in 2 weeks and getting DD back into nursery, trying to wear her out in the holidays has been hard work. I hurt my lower back trying yoga to shift the baby head down and now I can't bend over... Confused and the baby is still head up.

pumpkinsweetie · 04/01/2014 19:58

santa no chance of me jumping next in line Grin, she has me waiting well and truly and going on my last births, i'm expecting her to go well overdue!
Due tomorrow and i just know these braxton things (i call them braxton pickles) will keep me guessing! Every night between 9pm & 11 i think labour is started and then i wake up and zilch!!

Hope tonight or tomorrow is your lucky day x

fod27 · 04/01/2014 20:17

Has anyone noticed at 29 weeks that movements turn into a rocking motion? I fell asleep earlier and awoke as it felt like the sofa was being rocked by someone then I realised it was the baby!!! It was really strong and scary!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 20:28

I wish Fod! I have feet tap dancing just below my ribs and elbows/hands somewhere just above my left hip!
It's pretty violent at times. The nicest I get is a knee or elbow. DD says it feels like someone applying deodorant under my skin!

fod27 · 04/01/2014 20:32

Oh no saggy I hope there isn't anything wrong with her ;(

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 20:37

Who? Yours or mine? If it's mine we already know the answer to that! Wink
If it's yours, I shouldn't worry. They get up to all sorts of shenanigans in there! We think up a new extreme sport for Ryvita every day. It started with Parkour? went through kayaking and Mountaineering and today we have ice skating! Confused Hmm Grin

fod27 · 04/01/2014 20:51

Hahaa saggy yes mine, think we will all settle once out little ones are finally here, how long do you have left now?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 20:57

30 weeks here. Not long now.

fod27 · 04/01/2014 21:30

Ooooo it's getting closer saggy you excited???

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 04/01/2014 21:32

Swinging between excitement and exhaustion! Grin

fod27 · 04/01/2014 21:50

I know that feeling saggy I'm getting soooo big and uncomfortable that I just want her here now

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/01/2014 02:20

2.15 am and Im wide awake! Sad
I have my first headcold in about 5 years. My head is full, my throat is sore and I cant stop coughing. leaking wee
I just want to go to bed! Sad

ChristineDaae · 05/01/2014 09:51

Saggy I was awake half the night too. Then this morning BabyDaae tried to give me a baby heart attack. Was awake for about 45 min without a single movement... Now wiggling but am paranoid it's not as much as usual so trying to really pay attention. How 'reduced' does movement have to be before you worry?

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/01/2014 10:08

I think that anything that worried you deserves checking out.

Pixielady83 · 05/01/2014 12:07

I'd echo that christine worth a check to set your mind at rest.

sorry to hijack but have been meaning to ask... I often don't feel baby for hours at a time, usually it's active first thing, in afternoon, then in evening but only ever for about half an hour to an hour each time. Is this too little? should it be moving more? got midwife on Fri but have been worrying about it.
