Excellent news! I can't wait to find out what she is called. Smile

BlackholesAndRevelations · 23/12/2013 21:45

Lol saggy- me neither!! Wink

Your lovely messages made me well up earlier. Thank you so much! This thread = babies. Today you are pregnant xxx

NerdyBird · 23/12/2013 22:24

Congrats blackholes, hope you find a name for your baby girl.

Good luck for the move aly, check in with us when you've got time!

Really sorry to hear ickle is leaving us, take care of yourself.

Welcome to alb, hope things go smoothly for you.

My spotting has disappeared, but so have most of my symptoms. Resorted to pregnancy test as I just don't feel pregnant anymore. By the time my 12 week scan comes around I will probably be a gibbering wreck. Sigh.

Pixielady83 · 23/12/2013 22:25

many congratulations blackholes! Smile Thanks Smile so exciting your little one made it in good time before Christmas! santa hope your little one isn't taking your nickname too seriously! Grin

hope everyone is ok in this hectic weather. DH just joined me at family so relieved he decided to come early. christine hope your DH gets to you ok.

aly all the best for the big move! really hope your flight took off ok, I've got some friends stranded at Heathrow as their flight has been postponed (well I say stranded, they're being put up in the Radisson blu so not such hardship really!)

Chocolateteabag · 24/12/2013 06:02

Congratulations Blackholes!! do you have a name yet?

Good look to Aly and to everyone who has to travel anywhere over the next few days. We are on a hill in the sticks and feels like the house may blow away but at least we don't need to go out.

I'm now entrenched in new born land - groggy with sleep deprivation, weepy with hormone high/lows and with sore cracked nipples and huge after pains as my uterus contracts back in place. It's truly awful - but then Joss does a smile(burp really) and it's all worth it.

Wishing everyone on the thread a happy Christmas and amazing 2014 filled with lots of babies. "you" have all been a huge support to me over the past few months, I hope the thread can continue doing this for all of you and you are over on the graduate of graduates thread in post natal soon

TODAY WE ARE PREGNANT!!
Thanks

BobaFettTheHalls · 24/12/2013 12:57

Congrats Blackholes! We didn't settle on DS2's name until he was what, 5 weeks old? So you've got all the time in the world Grin

Lozul, are you doing anything to mark today? DH didn't remember our mc DD and it really upset me at the time.

Good luck for your move Aly

Nothing much to report here, DS1 has just turned 2 & DS2 is almost 5 months and everyone has a blocked nose & cold.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 24/12/2013 14:43

One of the little perks of PG that nobody tells you about!
My nether regions are reminiscent of the Elephant Man!...

Ooh! Good idea! Grin Grin Grin
Im just being thoroughly unreasonable today. I'm really tired and grumpy!

Huffpot · 24/12/2013 21:06

sticking my head back in after being AWOL for a while.
Had my 12 week scan yesterday and although bub seems fine we also got the news that it was originally a twin pregnancy but that one didn't develop so is still teeny in their in its own sac. So while I am happy we have one I am also so very sad that we lost one. DP thinks I'm mad but yup
so due date now of 6th July Smile
Merry Christmas eve all

Louzul · 24/12/2013 22:41

Hi Boba, yes, I was at a carol service today so lit a candle and had a little cry. Tomorrow I will be on 11 weeks so that's been a massive help today. That and my DH has been great. I'm lucky in many ways.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 24/12/2013 23:54

I know it's 10 minutes premature, but im going to raise a glass to all the lost little ones who belong to this thread, and to all of those who will be sharing christmas with us next year.
Merry Christmas lovely ladies. xx

Merry Christmas lovely ladies, thanks for all of your wonderful support.

Me and the MIL are up and waiting for the men to wake up. Here's hoping that this will be our last lazy quiet Christmas for many years to come! Xmas Grin

Swangirl · 25/12/2013 18:10

Merry Christmas to all of you hope you all had a good day Smile Smile

MissHobart · 25/12/2013 20:39

Arrgh! I have spent so much time reading these threads over the last few days!

TTC since Jan '12, MMC last summer, no symptoms of anything, BFP last Monday! Been having PG symptoms, sore boobs, dizziness, constipation, have just cried all the way through Finding Nemo!

Now I'm panicking, have had very low grade cramp/womb ache but this has just stepped up in the last hour and have had some brown spotting when I went to the loo and my boobs have stopped hurting?! We dtd yesterday as I was so happy and care-free "if it's meant to be it's meant to be" - now I'm just back to PANIC!

I'm 5+1.

Help! :(

MissHobart · 25/12/2013 20:52
  • not MMC, still learning the acronyms, had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy.
SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 25/12/2013 21:15

Miss, firstly, welcome and congratulations.
Secondly, try not to panic. Spotting after dtd is common, pregnancy hormones thin the skin on the cervix making it prone to damage. Cramps are also very common. The uterus stretches and adapts in the early days.
The only time to really worry is if the pains are one sided, which requires checking out.
Its totally unhelpful I know, but in the first few weeks, all you can do is sit tight and try not to worry. Hang out here with us. xx
