Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, 1st to early 2nd trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

Thanks. It's at 9:15, I'll try to post a photo, if it's any good.

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/11/2013 19:49

Good luck with the scan angel, at least it's early! Looking forward to pic... tally is it your 20wk scan on thurs? Jealous, mine is a whole week after that..GAAAAH

Just been yogaing, now in bath. Lamb tagine in slow cooker. Aaaah this is why days off were invented! Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/11/2013 19:51

Read that as yoga-ing IN the bath ShockGrin

Boomgoestheweasel · 26/11/2013 20:06

Ha merk don't fancy attempting downward dog in here!!

funkymonk · 26/11/2013 20:09

Good luck with the scan Angel!

Boom how on earth is there enough space to do yoga in a bath?! Confused!!

Nothing stange has come out of my nether regions since 3.30pm yesterday. I am hoping that this must mean it was nothing sinister Hmm reaches out to touch as much wood as possible

funkymonk · 26/11/2013 20:10

Oh cross posts! For some reason I also read it the same as merk!

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/11/2013 20:30

Good news funky. Although it won't last long... Soon you will join us me in having permanently soggy knickers. The glamour of pregnancy.
I came home from work this morning, started feeling a bit dizzy and weird after I got there so turned round, came home and went to bed and spent all day there going to try for a docs app tomorrow as still struggling to breath regularly... It's more like my throat or chest is constricted than breathlessness but its quite scary and doesn't seem to be going away

Foodylicious · 26/11/2013 21:14

Me too boom that did read funny! Good luck for tomorrow angel, I feel your pain re sickness and general poorlyness. I am on second week of phased return at work after nearly 6 weeks off. Cannot recomend trying some tablets enough. Mine have really helped, still get nauseous and have to eat almost constantly but am not actually sick every day now. Bloody exhausted still and the tablets make me drowsy so I can only take one at night and I do wake up with a headache and dry mouth BUT it is so worth it, being able to leave the house when I want is amazing.
merk hope you get an appt ok, I have read that some women get asthma for the first time in pregnancy, have they ruled out anemia already??

I am finding work exhausting, left 2 hours early yesterday and and an hour today. I am non clinical at the mo too so god knows how I will manage next week, really not good at moving around much

CatsCantFlyFast · 26/11/2013 21:36

I did wonder if it was asthma, I had it very badly as a teenager but it went away entirely after a few years. However I'm not wheezing or coughing which makes me think its not that. It feels as though somebody is sitting on my chest / compressing my throat and even when I take a v deep breath its not satisfying. It comes and goes, but its coming more frequently and I'm on the edge of being a bit panicky, especially when I'm on my own. I'm sure its just because my bump is so high and squishing everything but another few months like this will be tough

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/11/2013 11:17

Apologies to all who thought I was doing naked soapy bath yoga. I'll try harder to separate my sentences in future Blush

Any word from Angel?

Merk I'm with you on the unfortunate soggy knicker situation. Pantyliners are not cutting it plus I resent buying anything called 'pantyliner' because the word makes me want to gip Did you manage to get an appointment to see the doc?

Funky excellent news Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/11/2013 11:20

Docs app this afternoon. Glad it's not just me with a serious issue with the word panty. Panty liner, panty hose... It's all wrong. And yes the liners aren't really cutting it for me either. I'm surprised I'm not severely dehydrated! ShockGrin
Angel??

Angelina77 · 27/11/2013 12:47

Sorry for the late reply, all is well and I broke down watching my little baby wriggling about on the screen. It was amazing, I'm so happy :)

CatsCantFlyFast · 27/11/2013 13:03

Whoop whoop GrinGrinGrinGrin great news Angel, am thrilled. Big sigh of relief

Angelina77 · 27/11/2013 13:12

Thank you :). I've got some good pics but not sure how to get them on here (or FB without sharing with the world). I'm convinced about the sex already so I'd like you to have an early guess.

Hope your chest thing is nothing serious.

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/11/2013 13:32

Yay angel glad all is well! You can share photos on fb in the secret group, they won't show up anywhere else. Pics one here are too small for merk to do her magic!

Brodicea · 27/11/2013 13:49

Sorry to hear that merk maybe your previously mild asthma is making your constricted chest worse? I have asthma and it has been worse, but it has mainly consisted of usual asthma symptoms so far.

So happy for you angel what a feeling!

I LOATHE the word panty.

Angelina77 · 27/11/2013 13:50

Ok, cool, I've shared the best one on the secret group page :)

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/11/2013 15:04

ARGH boots have just refused to sell me canesten on the basis that I'm pregnant. What is a girl with thrush supposed to DO?? My docs aren't even picking up the phone! Haven't got a car to get to the supermarket because it's in the garage and I'm irritated in all possible senses!

Ps sorry Angel, lovely pic btw Grin

Foodylicious · 27/11/2013 17:38

Merk my Asthma went undiagnosed until a few years ago, as well as the cough i have always had on exertion I had frequently used phrases like "baby elephant sat on my chest", "lungs full of candy floss/sawdust/fibreglass/sand" (and could get quite wheezy if I laughed too much when drunk Grin
I have never really had a severe attack, but would get breathless/coughing and carry on coughing for hours!

All of the symptoms I have had since childhood, but just accepted them as something that happened to me. Also have had insomnia since my teens so never read anything in to the night time coughing either.

I can go for months without any real symptoms and I still don't always realise when I need my inhaler then have a 'lightbulb' moment and use it Hmm.
Anyway hope you got a resolution when you went to the docs.

yay angel thats fab!

Foodylicious · 27/11/2013 17:40

Have you got any diprobase cream boom? the only cream I know of that wont sting (have had it in my eye, could not see, but no pain). Would Mr Boom pick you some up?

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/11/2013 17:58

Hmm, no diprobase and Mr Boom will be out until 9 o'clock. I can cope, it's just very annoying! Finally got through to the doc and they've done me a prescription for pick-up tomorrow, so all is not lost. Am eyeing the natural yoghurt in the fridge in a contemplative fashion...

PuppyMummy · 27/11/2013 19:13

Good news Angel
I am sooo tired. had a busy couple of weeks at work and parents eve tomorrow. could sleep for a week!

Boomgoestheweasel · 27/11/2013 19:46

I know that feeling puppy, poor you!

Right, I've lost track of EVERYONE during my grumpy fortnight off. It might not be up to bunny's exacting standards...but list, anyone?
