Open to all elderberry grads and anyone who fits the berry criteria: over 30, 1st to early 2nd trimester(ish) with #1 after trying for a loooong time, and nervous as hell. Come on in for handholding and nub theory!

funky they really are unreliable - had one that said 1-2 weeks when should have been saying 3+. Next one was fine. Read on other posts someone used 2 out if the same box with different results too.
The web site says 92% accurate with +/- 5 days, so not really that accurate at all!

Tallyra · 24/11/2013 11:32

I'd everyone ok this weekend? funky I hope you aren't stressing too much xxxxx

Yes, it's a bit quiet in here, isn't it?! Have you all gone off to the dark side the grads thread already????

Tallyra · 24/11/2013 13:40

I'm floating between the 3 threads at the moment. the grads are full of cute babies but I still feel mote comfortable with you preggers lot here!

PuppyMummy · 24/11/2013 15:10

Foodylicious · 24/11/2013 15:29

Me too, not going anywhere!

BlindKitty · 24/11/2013 18:12

Phew! I don't want to go anywhere either!!!

Well had massive bump envy at a baby shower yesterday. My friend was there (due 3 days before me) and was clearly showing way more than me! I think mine is hidden in my flabby belly! Pregnancy rage almost started when everyone was like 'ooh where's your bump???'. It's bad enough that I don't remotely feel pregnant, so desperate to start looking it!!'

Thunderpantsarego · 24/11/2013 18:49

Why don't we just stay here then? Wink

Hi everyone

Foodylicious · 24/11/2013 19:00

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/11/2013 19:04

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/11/2013 19:45

I'm just generally grumpy because I'm not sleeping, I can't open my legs without pain, I'm eating like a pig, none of my clothes fit and I'm struggling to find anything in maternity that isn't crap, my maternity jeans dig in, I've outgrown another set of bras and I'm still getting breathless quite often. On top of this my MIL is driving me crazy with her 'advice'. In general I'm not finding it enjoyable and I'm working hard too so I'm just feeling sorry for myself! But I AM extremely grateful to be in this position, just looking forward to the actual baby arriving and feeling vaguely human again

Tallyra · 24/11/2013 21:47

oh honey it sounds so uncomfortable. I'm sorry you're having such a bad time. Thanks Thanks Thanks

BlindKitty · 25/11/2013 06:36

Ah merk we have it all to come!!! Remind me how many weeks you are now?

Quodlibet · 25/11/2013 07:28

Merk I am grumpy for nearly all the same reasons as you. My MIL is not proferring advice, rather a constant stream of helpfulness but her perpetual barrage of questions about which pram blankets etc feels like harassment. Am also with you on the clothes thing. Yesterday I wore the official Berry dress with my PJ bottoms on underneath as had no other trousers that weren't too tight/pressing on bump. Think that may well have to be today's outfit too, even though I have a Board Meeting today. LAST WEEK OF WORK! Hurrah.

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/11/2013 09:10

I am so jealous of last week of work!
I'm 24 weeks this week so such a long way to go (and v early to be moaning). My DH is abroad this week with work so that is another reason to feel sorry for myself. However my new look order has just arrived so hopefully that will make things better.
How is everyone else? Any scans coming up?

Tallyra · 25/11/2013 12:24

yes, my 20week anomaly scan is on Thursday. I think we've made the decision to find our the sex if we get the chance!

Brodicea · 25/11/2013 12:44

Good luck tally let us know how it goes

Oh Merk and kitty poor you guys- I feel some of your pain!

I got the rage too at the weekend, a very annoying woman from my work (colleague's birthday) said:

'Oh Brodicea, when I think of you I imagine this thin pretty young woman partying and drinking and having fun. I'm finding it really hard adjusting to what I see before me: a pregnant woman.'

I just said: 'yes, that is the factual reality - can't help ageing, putting on weight and not drinking really!'

She also said, 'oh you're just drinking water - that's what animals drink!'

And after complimenting everyone else on an aspect of their outfit 'oh well, what can you do in your condition?

When she left she stroked my cheek and said 'you know I like to tease you' it was all I could do not to leap up and start clawing her face.

Silly cow Angry

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/11/2013 12:58

Brod I would have been unable to restrain myself

Brodicea · 25/11/2013 13:22

She's always been a right cow bag and we've had huge rows in the past. A good few years ago my first husband left me very suddenly - I married very young first time! - and I couldn't eat for about two weeks so lost lots of weight simply because I was grieving (some people would eat more, I couldn't eat at all), she told me I looked disgusting and I made her feel sick. It really really upset me - she was so obsessed with her own weight that she couldn't fathom someone losing it incidentally. It really knocked my already flat-bottom self esteem.

I had thought I'd learned how to deal with her without getting irked but what with the rage I could hardly cope! Luckily I don't work in the same office as her any more!

So pumped with the rage now! Will have to try and chill out Smile

CatsCantFlyFast · 25/11/2013 18:31

She sounds like somebody to avoid!
I am getting the rage every time somebody mentions the word routine. How is a few day old baby supposed to grasp a routine I wonder???
New one tonight... I seem to have sprouted some giant freckles between my boobs!
Does anybody know how they measure you/bump from 24 weeks? I suspect I might be 'in trouble' due to huge size!
Tonight I am trying out some microwaveable wax I haven't tried before (how exciting)! Usually have one I have to heat on the hob but it was out of stock. Therefore expect me back later asking for advice once I've got my legs/nether regions into a sticky waxy mess that I can't see/reach to fix Grin

BlindKitty · 25/11/2013 19:09

brod your story would have been better if she you had actually scratched her effing eyes out Wink. Next time she has a dig just say 'you'll understand when you grow up and have children of you're own'. Make sure you stroke her face and say 'you know how I like to tease you' as well Wink

Oh and brod don't feel sorry for me! I'm only moaning because I have bump envy! I'm too impatient!
