Hi everyone,

This thread is for all you incessant worriers out there, not necessarily limited to IVF-ers, although I get the feeling the people who have had trouble TTC are more prone to worrying than others!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Or put my massive foot back in.

Oh Ffs, I'll just get a gag and stick it on instead. It's better that way.

Shazzamattazzerly · 19/12/2013 18:38

Oh my God you lot are too much. Grin

This afternoon i popped into my local VAR group meeting. (Vaginas against racism) where the vagina is celebrated regardless of colour and size. 'Hello my name is...... And my vagina is Caucasian and is, frankly, not what it once was'

I read all your posts in the car driving home for Xmas and I was laughing outloud. Hilarious report of pooing and DTD dildals. Sometimes the other halves open their mouths before their brains engage. Love the race dependent uncoordinated And uncooperative pelvises!

Thanks Noks for the supportive rant. I'll have to get you round to stand up for me. I feel better today although I didn't have a good night. I lost my confidence abit after the day and shazlett was really restless and i was fed up and frustrated and made DP get up and walk her around at 5am while I went back to bed.

We are at my parents now and im feeding shazlett. It feels funny to be doing the same routine in a different environment. It's good to be out of the flat though.

fairypangolin · 19/12/2013 18:47

noks when we were having the embryo transfer, when the consultant said it was all done, DH leaned over and stage whispered, "Was it good for you too?" Aah how we laughed, as did the nurses.

Nokkie73 · 19/12/2013 18:50

VAR - brilliant. Made me laugh out loud that one.

Have a good time at your parents shazza. A change of scenery will probably do you the world of good. That is if your mad SIL doesn't turn-up. She will get the same treatment as HV if she's not careful. growls

Nokkie73 · 19/12/2013 18:52

You should have both lit-up a post-coital fag fairy Grin

Dildals · 19/12/2013 19:39

noks Two ladies made me pregnant actually!

Dildals · 19/12/2013 19:44

Bella is asleep this evening AGAIN. I am working on the quadruple B routine. Bath, Boob, Boob, Bed. Gina Ford eat your heart out I am going to write a book about this baby nonsense!! DH is, you guessed it, out on the lash again, so I am taking bets on whether I will need to get an extra set of keys cut tomorrow. He said he was going to eat this time though, so who knows. Eating, who would have thought ...

fairypangolin · 19/12/2013 20:45

noks having paid £4k to be there you'd have thought they would let us smoke inside the clinic but noooo...

dildals "roomy"? Speechless. A friend of mine had a vaginal prolapse post baby and cured herself with this electronic stimulating device that basically makes your fanjo do loads of pelvic floor exercises in a few minutes. She used to use it whilst watching the Daily Show with John Stewart. I shit you not. Now whenever I see him I do a few rounds myself in gratitude for my intact pelvic floor.

gin I forgot to say that I loved the description of your poor sleep deprived DH asking if you had googled the baby!

Dildals · 19/12/2013 21:55

fairy I can't vouch that he used the word 'roomy', he may have said 'wide and short'. semantics...
I might have to google that electronic device to tighten mine up. It is creating a draft in the house unless I cross my legs.

WELL, this sleeping business was short-lived. Crying fussing etc. Finally I thought I might as well feed her then, maybe she's hungry. (She's been eating a lot lately). So I feed her, she voms it all up over my clean jeans and the top part of the duvet, the part that will be under my nose later. And she's still fussy. I am not feeding her again until this lot is digested! She wouldn't settle on my chest so I have just put her down, she seems more settled that way, probably because I smell of nice fresh boob. She's still looking at me wide eyed on the monitor though. Sigh.

Tomorrow I have an appt with a beautician you can take your baby too. They have CRB checked childcare (if you need it), and they are basically cool with you breastfeeding, taking baby with you etc. Brill. Because I feel like I aged five years in four months.

OnionRing · 20/12/2013 01:00

Yes you did. I've aged ten years in eight months.

More tomorrow. I've been drinking with my sister!!!

OnionRing · 20/12/2013 01:02

We've been talking about being grandmas and what toys we should keep for our grandchildren. We are 37 and 40.

keepitgoing · 20/12/2013 01:30

OK so we dtd in a brief time of one of us not holding the baby... I agree dildals that things are seemingly in a different place, though dh said it felt the same I suspect he was just being polite.

noks hopefully your black pelvis will let the nipper slip through no questions asked.

One of DJ's first comments was 'oh good, she doesn't look Thai', he'd been imagining they'd shoved any old embryo back inside me...

Tough day and night here, kip has a cold which is breaking my heart to see her in distress.

dildals have you given up with gina then? I'm not sure I could cope with that little flexibility tbh, though it's tempting in some ways.

gin love the name it was our no 2. She's gorgeous well done you.

Am I the only one who's not been awarded the NAILS trophy? :(

keepitgoing · 20/12/2013 01:31

onion round here you'd be an old grandmother at 40!! Grin

keepitgoing · 20/12/2013 08:32

ooh I think both buzz and ceara stop work today!Grin Grin Grin

putthecrispsDOWN · 20/12/2013 08:42

Mornin all. Apols in advance for the baby talk and a,mememe post...
On Tues Nancy was a bit off colour. By the eve she looked a funny.colour, then went a bit blue twice. Dh took her to a and e, she went blue a few more times. They admitted her, she went rapidly downhill and by 3am couldnt breathe for herself at all. Caffeine and cpap didnt work, so she had to be put on a,ventilator and sedated. She has acute bronchiolitis. By the morn she was even fightimg the vent, so we were transferred to ICUpaedeatric in Sheffield aon a special icu ambulance and we hv bn here ever since. She has, been up and down and hasn't made any improvements yet, in fact got so bad yesterday that they paralysed her to try to give her a,break. At the same time Pearl was admitted to.a hosp IN notts (no bed spaces this time of year!) But has since been discharged. I have been given a flat here which is amazong, so dh is now up and down the m1 daily while, looking after Pearl and collecting dd1 from nursery. I honeztly feel like someone is fucking with my life...how hard can they make it to actuallu have children? Doing ok considering, just want gher to get better and see her move, or hold her, or anything. She looks like someone elses baby at the moment.
Huge congrats ginny anf sweetie...thanks,all for keeping me giggling about malcolm poos, racialist vaginas and knobby hvs.

putthecrispsDOWN · 20/12/2013 09:06

Have just read back properly. ..shazza your hv is,an insensitive twunt. With dd I felt really down at times which was much more to do with lack of sleep, a long labour and having waited what seemed like a million yrs to conceive. You know yourself that you are a fab mum so trust yourself. Plus we talk to bumps to.make babies seem more, real, especially tjose of us on this thread who struggle to.visualise our babies because after all the infertility shit we can't actually belueve we are preggo.i don't talk to the twins as,much bcs, they are here, and just being with them and snuggling them is enough for all of us. Give her a bitch slap from me and find someone more sensitive, you should be anle to be honest with yoyr hv without fear of being referred.
Gin you are def nails! Gorgeoys name. Wrt episiotomy...keep your knees together when.you.move to.prevent pulling stitches, have as,many long baths,as you can make time for and use the thickest, comfiest pads you can find.

MotorcycleMama · 20/12/2013 09:14

Oh crisps! You poor thing. I cant imagine the stress you must be under. Sounds like Nancy is getting the best ever care thank goodness. Love and hugs to you and family. X

Nokkie73 · 20/12/2013 09:33

Oh crispy. You poor thing. I can't imagine what you are going through right now. It absolutely sucks that poor little Nancy is in hospital. When do they expect to see some improvement ? Please give her a hug and a kiss from her Yoni Aunties and tell her that we all want her to get better and be home for Christmas. Did they say what has caused it ?

So glad that Pearl is better though. You're doing brilliantly, considering.

Oh I wish I could give you an affectionate dig in the ribs. Thanks

Nokkie73 · 20/12/2013 09:34

keep you can have the Efficient Yoni award. Grin

Nokkie73 · 20/12/2013 09:35

Oh and give Kip a snuggle from us too. I hope she recovers from her cold. X

OnionRing · 20/12/2013 10:02

crisps how awful for you all. Poor little Nancy, I hope she starts to improve soon, I'm glad she's in the specialist place though. I'm thinking of you all. X

SweetieTime · 20/12/2013 10:06

Congratulations Gin loving the 16th birth action. BabyGin and SweetieTwins all share a birthday.

Crisps hope things are improving for you and the girls. Thinking of you and sending you strong Yoni Worrier vibes.

All is going really well here but I am having a few problems with my eyesight and cannot see very well. I get very dizzy when reading computer or watching TV as my vision has gaps like when having a migraine. It all sounds very dramatic but isn't really, they are monitoring it as it is connected to my high blood pressure. Just popping on to let you know I have uploaded a couple of pictures in my profile for those without FB. I will come back to let you all know my birth story when I can.

OnionRing · 20/12/2013 10:40

sweetie they are gorgeous! Lovely lovely little creatures.

gin I haven't congratulated you! Congratulations!!! Keen to see her and know her name of course. You sound nails though, well done.

My episiotomy was ten days in the initial healing but after that was a lot better. I learned to sit on one side so it wasn't under pressure, that and big mahoosive maternity pads to cushion it, none of those slimline ones. A bottle of lactulose couldn't do any harm either, since discovering lactulose during this last pregnancy I always have a bottle in the house. Like whisky. I offer people a shot when they come round for drinks...

Laughing my head off at your racialist pelvises. Mine is a broad Eastern European peasant pelvis. And it still didn't work properly, my ancestors in the turnip fields would be ashamed of me. Adjusts headscarf and swigs vodka

keepitgoing · 20/12/2013 11:05

oh god crisps poor you. well done for getting them to help promptly. it must be awful not to be able to hug her... I hope she improves soon x

keepitgoing · 20/12/2013 11:09

I want you to out-efficient me, noks!

just had my six week check. all fine but slightly high bp. I think this is because I was up most of the night, and was running late rather than anything sinister. they'll just check it when kip gets her jabs. I hijacked most of the appt to get gp to look at kip, she says it's just a cold and do what we are doing.
